Snowball's tail flickered as he sat outside a jewerly shop, the night had fallen the shop was closed by now but they had a nice piece displayed in the window, large shiny purple gemstone with diamonds and sapphires around it. "I wonder what that costs." Of course they didn't display the cost where anyone could see it, scared it'd run people off.
Of course, Snowball had a love for purple things and this was a very perfect purple item. Though he knew he couldn't convince Niflhel to buy it for him, much less for Polaris, it was far too gaudy for the knight. Snowball knew this by now. Still his tail flickered as he looked around. "I wonder what else there is around here. Even just a small piece of purple something - they threw away from here would be nice. . . . At least I would think?"
Snowball wasn't aware of anyone else around, since there seemed to be little human traffic on this particular route.

"That is one really shiny stone" Liryn said cheerfully as he padded towards the the white-furred guardian cat who was sitting by the shop window.
The tabby bobtail had actually been on his way home for the evening, but as he had started to pass this particular stretch of sidewalk had realised that he recognised the other mauvian, who was peering in the shop window by his white, fluffy coat and had taken a detour to make his way over to the larger cat. Well that and he had been curious as to what the other cat was staring at so intently.
"You're..." For a moment he had to think on it, but finally he thought he remembered the other cat's name. "Snowball right?" After all the last time he had seen his fellow mauvian (or at least the last time he recalled seeing the other guardian) had been during the BlackWatch set-up meeting on the moon and it had been more of a kind of 'in passing' thing.LP sorry this has taken me so long LP. I think they may have both been at the Blood God orp, but if Snowball was then Liryn didn't notice since he was distracted xD

Snowball turned his head towards the tabby bobtail. Nodding softly as he agreed, "It is!" His tail twitched softly as he glanced back at it. "It's pretty but the wrong color. Do you want to come help me see if there's anything pretty in their dumpster? Sometimes people throw things out."
He nodded towards the Alleyway not too far from them. "Yeah, I'm snowball. . . you're. . . " He paused for a second, "L--iryn?" He asked drawing out the L, pretty sure he remembered him as well from the black watch. The white ragamuffin stretched a little before looking back to see if the other was going to follow around to see if there was anything in the dumpster.
"So, what do you do for fun?" He added curiously.Litian Wasn't there - didn't post in it.

Liryn had given Snowball's query about coming with a bit of a thought - well at least a bit in 'Liryn' terms - by which it didn't take long before he was nodding, his voice cheerful as he gave his agreement "Sure, that sounds fun" and besides he might find something useful which could be added to his little stash, after all bins had all sorts of useful things and Snowball was right - sometimes people did just chuck stuff out - even the useful stuff.
As the bigger cat inclined his head towards the alleyway, Liryn gave a stretch of his own "Yep I'm Liryn" he said padding after Snowball. "And for fun? Well I like reading, particularly audio books" although whether it could really be called reading when he was inserting the CD into the CD player and listening to the book being read out was debatable. "Since they're much easier on the paws. E-books are pretty good too." His cheerful voice turned musing "And I like tinkering with stuff" he continued, adding "I've been trying to work on some stuff with Athene's alarm clock." Well actually it was more clocks - as in many clocks given that his efforts mostly hadn't gone as planned. There was always the next clock though and Ida's clock.

Snowball smiled, "Awesome, then it's a dumpster play date." He said as he started off around back as he listened to Liryn.
The larger white cat's tail swished as he listened to what Liryn did for fun, "Books are great, I love the knowledge they can provide. Niflhel doesn't have much in the way of information dumps though so I want to try to sneak into the Library. . . I don't know how well that'll go."
Snowball counted Audio books and e-books as okay reading material too though the audio ones didn't always stick with him as well, and Azzo occasionally complained about the small claw marks in the pages, oops.
"I tinker, that doesn't usually turn out well without someone else helping. . . I'm pretty sure I've blown a few things up accidentally." He laughed a little bit, "Thankfully they're small and contained so Niflhel and Polaris won't ever notice -- and they also often happen in the garage."
When they reached the back of the alleyway Snowball looked around to see where the dumpster might be located that they were looking for. "Oh I think it's that one . . . with the lock."

"I've been planning to sneak into the library too" Liryn said cheerfully. "Since I want to look over the collection there." He thought about it for a moment as he continued to pad after the white furred mauvian before adding "I want to look at the 'how to' section mainly because how to stuff is always useful." Not that he was particularly picky about the 'how to' topics, although he quite liked DIY stuff and perhaps he could see if they had anything on clocks...
He broke off his musing in favour of looking at Snowball once again "If you manage to sneak in maybe you can tell me how it goes" he continued, adding "And I can do the same if I manage to sneak in before you."
They had passed a couple of dumpsters, but they didn't seem to be the dumpster that Snowball had in mind as the other mauvian continued to head further down into the alleyway.
"My tinkering doesn't always go as planned either" he admitted as they passed by a third dumpster. "I've been lucky in that nothing's blown up on me yet though" because he wasn't sure that Athene or Ida would appreciate it - particularly given the fact Athene didn't seem to appreciate his attempts to make him a better alarm clock.
They were getting close to the end of the alleyway though and Snowball was slowing and looking over to the side.
Liryn followed his gaze and spotted yet another dumpster, this one with a lock and eyed it with thoughtful frown face "The lock might be a problem" he looked at Snowball. "At least it might be if it's been locked." Because there was a chance that it might not be.LP apologies for taking so long with this LP

Snowball's tail twitched as he listened to Liryn. "Yeah, the seems awesome from the outside. I've lurked on the window sills before. Perhaps we should attempt to sneak in together? Two furballs are better than one?"
He hummed, "indeed, if we don't do it together i'll be more than happy to let you know. I could also see if Niflhel'll help me in the first time so I can see what goes on."
The white cat hummed and nodded as he listened. Jumping up towards the top of the dumpster using the boxes that were sitting there. Luckily even empty they were fairly sturdy. "Ahh yeah, the lock usually is an interesting challenge." He commented as he stood paws against the dumpster where the lock was keeping anyone from pulling open the side hatch. The one on the top usually was almost always locked unless it was garbage day but by then it was too late to get any good stuff. "Hmm . . . "
He was toying with the lock. "Looks like he might've locked it. Ever picked one?"Litian Ahaha now it's my turn to apologize for the lateness.

"That works" Liryn said cheerfully at Snowball's suggestion that they try sneaking into the library together. "Two set of paws are always better than one" and it also made sense given that they both wanted into the library.
Niflhel wasn't a name he was really familiar with, but it was one that Snowball had mentioned a few times. He'd also mentioned the name Polaris, although Liryn wasn't familiar with that name either. "Are Niflhel and Polaris your senshi?" he asked curiously as he watched Snowball fiddle with the lock - a lock that turned out was most definitely locked before giving a quick shake of his head at the other mauvian's question about picking locks.
"I haven't" he admitted. "But I know how to use one of those money cards that people seem so fond off to open doors." Well okay maybe know was something of a strong word considering that Liryn hadn't done that either, however he had seen a few things on how to do it and was pretty sure that he replicate it - well at least he figured he could if he had a money card or something similar to paw.LP no worries LP, I am slow myself - apologies for taking so long

He nodded, "Yes two sets of paws are better than one." The cat frowned and looked around for anything that might could pick a lock. Jumping down while still talking, "Niflhel's a Knight, Polaris is a Princess. So Polaris is my Senshi, Niflhel's just her boyfriend. However, I've been trying to track down Polaris knights since she's not been around too much and help them."
He looked at Liryn, "Fascinating! Perhaps this is something to keep in mind for the library. Just in case we need it, hopefully we won't!"

"Oh" Liryn said as Snowball talked about the difference between Niflhel and Polaris. "I don't really know anything about Knights." Most his interactions had been with senshi - in fact pretty much all his interactions had been with senshi. Although there had been that one Knight - the one with the really, really strong and warm aura... "I've sort of met a super strong one once though but the situation wasn't really one for talking."
He watched as Snowball jumped down from the dumpster "Looking out for the others is good. My senshi do that too - although they focus on looking for and trying to help those that are new mostly." He nodded at Snowball's mention that the money card trick might be useful, the movement a quick up and down of his head. "It might. I will see if I can find a money card just in case" perhaps Athene or Ida would lend him theirs...
His thoughts trailed off, musings put aside to ponder another time as he followed after Snowball "What are you looking for? Perhaps it will go faster if I check the other side to see if I can find something."

Snowball smiled and gave a small nod when Liryn said he didn't know much about knights, "Well you can meet mine one day I'm sure he won't mind."
"It is!" He agreed, looking out for others was important. "Okay, that'd work! Surely they wouldn't mind if we were trying to do something that could further our research." He smiled, use it for educational value then do whatever reading they want, "At least then maybe they wouldn't care as much."
He paused as he started walk around, "Oh! I'm looking for anything purple to take home to my collection. It would've been nice had the dumpster been unlocked but alas it happens. I just like collecting things and was hoping one of them would be a nice welcome home gift whenever Polaris did come back from Alaska."
His tail flickered as he sat down thinking.

"I'd love to meet your Knight" Liryn said cheerfully, after all in order to find out about knights he needed to actually meet and talk to them notwithstanding the fact that meeting new people was pretty fun.
The idea of being able to look around the library and check out all the books without having to wait for either Athene or Ida to get them for him was super tempting and Liryn made a mental note to ask the two eternal senshi about the possibility of him borrowing one of their money cards.
"Well I can look over there" Liryn offered as he looked over to where some of the other dumpsters that they had passed were, "See if I can uncover anything" for a start perhaps one of the others would be unlocked and he could have a good search around. "And wow Alaska's super far! Has your senshi been away there long?"
He knew that he'd missed his own team super a lot is any of them were as super far away as that.

"I'm sure he'd love to meet you, even if he might not show it." Snowball chuckled, "He tries to appear super tough but it's all an act."
The cat nodded as he trotted to another dumpster, "Careful some of them have food, and that's not quite what we're looking for. I'm sure some of it is still eatable but there could also be some gross food in 'em."
"Yeah it is, she's been gone a little while taking care of her father. I don't know how long she'll be gone." He admitted with a sigh, he missed her he did but he was sure she'd come back as soon as she could.
"I know she'd love to meet you too if she was here." Snowball gave a serious nod. "Soo, do you collect anything?"

Liryn nodded at Snowball's words and avoiding a dumpster that whilst open smelt super pongy, whilst a second that seemed like a better candidate was too high up and was lacking the convenient boxes that the locked one had had and which served as a nice route-upper.
He paused to look back at Snowball at the other's question about collecting stuff "I do" he said cheerfully. "I collect cogs, bits of clocks and anything that looks interesting and may come in useful for things" after all one never knew when they'd need a set of clock hands.
He settled on a third dumpster "This one may be good candidate" there was what looked like the remains of a table dumped by it, which whilst it would take a bit of balancing and timing for leaping looked like it might just be possible as an aid to help get them upwards... And it didn't have the pongy smell - he had sniffed the air carefully more than once but the only smell seemed to be coming from the dumpster that he had discarded as a candidate.

Snowball's tail twitched as he moved over towards where Liryn was, "That's a fabric shop, there should be some neat stuff in that!"
He jumped up, almost swiftly for his size and balanced on the edge of where the forks for the trash truck picked up the dumpster shoving the door open on the side of the trash bin. "That should give easier access!" He said after a loud scrape and squeaking noise.
His tail swished pleased with himself as he poked his head inside. To make sure it was safe from icky food. "Yup, looks like they don't use this one for their food trash, that's good."
He paused, "We might can find stuff for you to tinker with in here too! They usually have lots of buttons and things!" He was now standing on the edging before walking into the dumpster, "We've got plenty to choose from too." His voice echoed a little as he walked in.
