There was probably something terribly wrong about trying the multitask in the way Zia was.
She had become suddenly aware of how neglectful she had been on the hunt for new Negas and knights to add to her index but at the same time she was also pitifully making an attempt to ride high on finishing her degree last year by attempting to continue the illusion of normalcy with grad school. And she was falling behind and neglecting that too.
It was the conundrum that led to the lilac haired girl in cat-girl form sitting on the table surface, making faces at her notes from class. It was her nightly practice to 'fish' with her large, unique aura and hope someone interesting appeared to chit chat with her. And usually waiting was boring, so why not try to work on her paper for a bit and multitask?
Except for the part where she looked ridiculous leaning on a stack of text books while she tried to remember exactly what they had been going over in her operations management class with a variety of exaggerated expressions.

Snowball's ears twitched. He'd been searching the area for Polaris Knights or well something purple. During which time the ragamuffin decided to give up on the search after a few hours of fruitless searching and the occasional dodging of Youma.
His tail flickered as he continued into the park where he knew Niflhel occasionally liked to travel. Pausing when he felt an odd, and rather large aura. The cat's brows quirked, wasn't that usually reserved for a forth-stage something or other? Though it wasn't a normal aura he felt, there was no Negaverse, Order or Dark Mirror to the signature. The white feline decided to creep closer as he felt the energy rising the closer he got to the picnic area.
"Now what would be the cause of this?" He mused stopping when he saw a puff of lalic. Whatever it was, was purple!!!! The cat continued to creep closer for fear that whom ever this was may not be a friendly. Though the closer he crept the more he saw ears, and a tail . . . "What are you?" He asked suddenly surprising his self. Realizing that, might not have been a wise move; or at the very least a really rude move.

"A cat, dummy, same as you," The cat girl with the crescent moon on her head answered, not looking up from the paper she was furrowing her brows at.
She sat up and looked at the rag doll before she pulled herself out of her awkward leaning lay on the table to sit up and let her bare feet hang over the edge, lilac tail swishing back and forth.
"Haven't figured out how to unlock your full Mauvian form?" She asked with an assumptive grin forming. "I'm Zee, who are you?"

Snowball blinked as she answered, calling him a dummy. Well that could've gone worse right? He watched as she sat up and looked at him. "Well . . . No not really." He answered looking a little sheepish before moving to jump up beside her.
Looking at the books she had been leaning on. "Snowball." He answered tilting his head while looking at the books. "Nice to meet you."
When he was done with inspecting the books he started inspecting her outfit out of curiosity. "By the way I only meant, what are you because you're power feels different than any I've felt so far. You don't seem to be Chaos or Order. . . It's a little puzzling." He admitted tilting his head, "But you seem to have an Eye symbol?"

"Nice to meet you too," She practically sang and let her dangling feet kick a little.
"Oh, um," She pointed to the dark purple crescent moon on her forehead, where normal cats would have a star. "I'm a moon queen's cat, but not from this universe. Nehelenia, Queen of the Black Moon from beyond the mirror."
His mention of the eye symbol made her brow knit in confusion. "What are you talking about?"
She looked down and with a quick 'oh!' unhooked the winged gem from her collar. "Yes, well... it's just an accessory," She said with a wistful sigh, running her fingers over the glossy surface of the gem face.

Snowball looked at her as she spoke. His head tilted a little, "Oooo, A kitty for a moon queen from another universe with an upside down crescent marking? That sounds interesting, maybe even a little like fun. What is Queen Nehelenia over?"
He was curious and also wondered though, if she was from another universe could she get back there? After all why would a Royal's cat stay so far away. . . That would be a neat concept thought traveling through universes. . . "I'm a Princess' Cat." He said with a nod matter of factly. Not that it made much difference but they had a thing in common right? Being a Royals cat?
His tail flickered as she asked him what he was talking about and before he could use his paw to point towards the winged gem thing, she figured it out. "Oh? Well it's a very interesting accessory. Neater than my little crystals." He said swishing his tail a little.
He blinked at the wistful sigh, "Did it use to do something?" He was curious.

"The mooooooooon~" She sang out as a reminder and then laughed. "Although in addition to being the Moon Queen she was also Sailor Selene, the senshi of mirrors. She's... She um. It's been four years since she died."
She went back to fiddling with her Zircon gem, the teasing sing song demeanor significantly dampened. "Which princess? I only know Iris and Polaris." And Iris already had ********* think your little crystals are just fine," She said with a weak attempt at positivity and reached out to lightly touch one. "And I think so. I don't really remember... It's hazy."

Snowball blinked as she answered giving a small chuckle, "Ohh, well then. She was very important, though his smile soon turned to a frown as he looked at her, "Four years?"
Snowball's tail twitched as he paused, "Polaris." He answered and ruffled his fur a little to puff out when she said she thought his crystals were fine. "Thank you. I like to think they make me look pretty - at least I feel pretty most of the time. Until I need a bath."
He paused when she said said she thought so but it was Hazy, "Why is it Hazy" Snowball was missing the new order aura near by as he was more concerned with why Zia was having issues.

Zia just drew her legs up to her chest and hugged them, powering down to civilian form which sent the gem away to subspace. She only shrugged at the repetition of the amount of time it had been.
"Yeah well..." She reached over and stroked his puffed up fur with a smile. "You do look pretty. How is Polaris doing? Still living with Niflhel?"
She brushed past the question of why it was hazy with another shrug. The answers were complicated and her brain had shut down to an inconvenient state of lethargy.

Snowball's ears twitched and he purred when she started rubbing him. "Why thank you." He paused as she powered down to civilian, which caused his eyes to Widen when he realized what happened. "Y-your not a cat-cat?"
Snowball was efficiently mind blown. Of course he caught the question of how Polaris was doing and he answered through his baffled thought. "She's fine, though she had to go back home to Alaska her father's been sick for quite a while. She's yet to manage to be able to come back home. I'm afraid if anything happens, Niflhel may go up there too for a little while. But yes, when she's here, she's living with him."
Snowball paused, "Which I still think is a little silly they're not even engaged and she's staying with him." The white cat tutted.Niflhel was walking into sight though he couldn't see snowball. "Zia! I could feel you for what felt like at least a mile." The knight looked concerned now that the girl had powered down. "Everything okay?" He completely missed the fluffy white cat on the other side of the girl.

"...Kind of? I'm..." Zia pursed her lips and looked upwards with a slight shrug. "I'm half cat?"
Soul transference seemed way to complicated to dig into in casual conversation. She forced a weak laugh and ran her hand over his head again.
She nodded a little at his explanation of where his princess was, scrunching her mouth closed and glancing in another direction when he shared his opinions on their living situation and withholding a laugh.
She was in mid-suppression effort when Niflhel made his presence known and she jumped to attention. "Hey... Yeah." She relaxed and leaned back on her hands on the table, managing up a full grin that had no trace of the earlier sadness. "I was just fishing for index updates, but I ended up catching your cat instead."

Snowball's tail flickered as he looked at Zia trying to figure out 'half cat'. How did that even work . . . and soon he found his mind going somewhere he didn't like to distract himself he started grooming. "Sounds kind of awkward at times."
He paused when he heard Niflhel in mid groom before peeking his heard around Zia when she said she'd caught his cat. "I'm not his cat. I'm Polaris' he just gets the luxury of being around me because of her." Snowball nodded firmly.
He paused and looked at Niflhel, "How come you never told me you knew a half cat?"Niflhel looked maybe a little relieved that she knew she was fishing, and as he nodded the knight ventured closer to Zia pausing when she said she'd caught his cat and snowball appeared to correct her. "UH. . . Right Snowball, whatever lets you sleep at night."
He sat down on the picnic table bench looking at her. "Index updates huh? For knights?" He was curious if that's what she meant or if she was up to something else, "Haven't seen you in a while. Well since you moved out. Doing well?" He was looking at the book titles on the table as he asked.

"You have no idea," Zia burst out with a laugh and reached over to scratch Snowball behind his ears. "That is the way all cat ownership works, honey."
She tried not to let her smile sour to a grimace at Niflhel's question as she glanced to him. "...Fine," She murmured. She had moved out to move in to her boyfriend's apartment, and when their two year relationship ended on volatile and frightening terms. She was living in her mother's penthouse with her favorite Negaverser turned knight now days.
"Living downtown these days. Sleep deprived and anxious. What have you been up to?"

Snowball purred as he was being scratched behind the ears. Tail swishing happily as she talked.Niflhel sat a chin on his hand as he listened. Brow's lofting a little bit. "Oh?" Though he didn't press any further for now on the fine she murmured instead focusing more on the where she was living part.
"Oh downtown? Aren't there some swanky apartments that way? I know Polaris use to live somewhere down in that area I think." He was trying to figure about where Zia might be able to stay. "Eh same ol' same ol' looking out for Polaris knights, trying to keep tabs on when new ones pop up. She's not here so someone's gotta make sure they're at least decently taken care of. She'd probably scold me if she found out that I've probably not been doing that good of a job at it."
He sighed softly his eyes wandering over towards the north star. "Kind of hard to focus some days. . . ."
He paused and eventually brought himself back to the reality of the then and now. "Sooo how many knights have you collected for that database? Anything useful?"

"You haven't? What'd you do?" Zia responded to his self depreciation with a little bit of a side eye. Knights were easy to take care of, in her biased experience.
She just nodded a little bit about 'swanky apartments'. Carolyn's building was dripping in excess lux and while Zia enjoyed indulging in the blatant materialism and also tarnishing it with her roommate, but the fact she was mooching off of her ex-model mother was not something she was especially eager to discuss and so the entire situation was downplayed with a little, "Eh, yeeeah, it's pretty nice."
She pondered and shrugged again. "Roughly forty something? However I have expanded out to your uh... corrupted brethren," She teased. "Discovering anything new about knights? Not really. The hollow shell of Dark Mirror souls? Then a little something."
