xxxxKalendol is about five foot eight inches in height; and her figure marks her as rather lithe and curvaceous. This seventeen turn old's skin is lightly tanned, along her whole body, even where the sun doesn't shine. She has several burn scars from her craft, as well as other foolish things that children do. Kalendol's typical outfit consists of a very skin tight white cotton shirt with long sleeves that come down passed her wrists and do not quite cover her midriff, a pair of loose fitting pants that slightly hang off her waist, with a set of ankle high leather boots she herself created at a young age. She typically sports a black cap that rests slack on top of her head. During traveling, riding, or colder times she wears a travel worn dark gray colored cloak that she wraps around her body when she is self-conscious.

xxxxNow to her more distinguishing features. Kalendol's face is rounded, somewhat heart shaped and her hair tapers down into a widow's peak down her forehead. Her hair falls down to her waist in a coppery brunette waterfall that contains springy curls. She more often than not wears her hair up and tucked beneath her cap, so it does not get in the way of her work. A pair of full bubble gum colored lips smile from inside of her rounded face, making her appear highly feminine. However, her hazel green eyes watch every movement from every person, not caring whether they enjoy her eyes upon them or not. Her face is speckled by freckles which seem to exist only over her nose but no where else on her body.

xxxxKalendol has a very intriguing personality behind her voluptuous appearance. She is more than willing to help those within the holds and weyrs who are in trouble; however, she is one of the people who want to figure out ways to stop the trouble all together. Although she is incredibly soft spoken, she has vibrant opinions and will fight tirelessly until her opinions are known and accepted. She is decisive and strong willed, although she will rarely use this for her own personal gain, seeking comfort in knowing what she does helps others who are more in need than herself. She will utilize her creativity, imagination, conviction, and sensitivity in order to create balance, not to create an advantage. Kalendol finds it easy to connect with people, whether her sensitive nature will allow it or not. She has a good leadership quality flowering within her, and her confidence in herself to make the changes necessary make her an attractive person to multiple types. She can be considered a silent extrovert type, though one must remember that there are times when she needs to be alone to recharge her nerves.

xxxxKalendol tends to push herself to her limits, and if she's enthralled in a job she can forget to take care of her body properly. She is determined to meet the needs of those she meets, and this can cause her to overlook her own needs without remorse. She has the ability to meet any task she takes on, though, if she forgets about herself and loses herself to the task she can be sorely in trouble when it comes to the scheme of things. Although, she will never admit to it, Kalendol is quite the stubborn little bull.

xxxxWhen confronted by another person with the same convictions and personality as she herself has, she tends to welcome them openly. If a person has a stronger leadership capacity, she can do one of two things; either she butts heads with this person and challenges everything that they say, or she befriends them for the greater good of her desires. She'll confess to them her goals in an attempt to get them to go with them as well. However, Kalendol hates to be brushed off, and does not take kindly to others doing so towards her. She can become rather off-put and lose some of her focus. Not to say she'd outwardly strike at any of her peers, or superiors, she'd just be a bit mopey for a while. If she feels she can better something, Kalendol is not afraid to break rules in order to get her points across. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. She understands that every action has a consequence, and that is something she does not fear in the least. If she can better those around her, she will take the chance. She is quite Egalitarian, wanting equality amongst all. If she feels that her consequence was befitting the "crime" or "rule break" she will put off a cool calm and state her case in the best manner she possibly can.

xxxxKalendol is brutally opinionated. Her opinions on the gold and bronze over throwing is that it was absolutely necessary. If she'd been among the revolution, she'd been in favor of the equality between all dragons and in extent riders. However, she can see both sides of this notion, and in that case is where she keeps her mouth shut; neither accepting or rejecting the idea. She thinks that everyone's equality is a good thing.

xxxxKalendol is a person who loves beauty, where ever it can be found; often seeing it in things others do not find as beautiful. This teenager would rather spend her free time among the beautiful colors of dragons, whers, or even flits, than doing something others perceive as fun. She is similar to a tomboy in that she's more than willing to go tunnelsnake hunting and flit egg finding than staying inside doing drawings or singing. She's wild and fun when she gets out of her "beauty is everything" idea.

xxxxxxxxxxx• Sensitive. When someone challenges or criticizes Kalendol's values, they are likely to receive an alarmingly strong response. Kalendol is highly vulnerable to criticism and conflict, and questioning her motives is the quickest way to her bad side.

This is partly because she believe in this idea, but also because she is extremely private when it comes to her personal life, using this image to keep herself from having to truly open up, even to close friends. Trusting a new friend can be even more challenging for her.
xxxxxxxxxxx• Perfectionism. Kalendol is all but defined by her pursuit of ideals. While this is a wonderful quality in many ways, an ideal situation is not always possible – in politics, in business, in romance – and Kalendol too often drops or ignores healthy and productive situations and relationships, always believing there might be a better option down the road.

Her passion, poor patience for routine maintenance, tendency to present herself as an ideal, and extreme privacy tend to leave Kalendol with few options for letting off steam. xxxxA long time ago, her father and mother met in a hold near Benden where her father was training to become a tanner. Her mother, a weyr brat from Malvren had come to Benden to experience a clutching; but she upon meeting Kalendol's father, she quit being a candidate and decided to pursue him instead. It took about two years before they'd decided to become mates and move to a small hold near Malvren. This hold contained no whers and no dragons. Flits were rare as well, and the pair decided to start their family. In the course of her mother's life, she produced her husband five sons. It caused the woman a large problem, she began to have lower health than she'd once had. And yet, she was determined to give her mate a daughter. And thus, she died giving birth to Kalendol.

xxxxAlthough Kalendol's mother had passed away giving her life, Kalendol felt a very strong connection with her mother growing up. Her father, a master tanner, constantly reminded Kalendol of her strong resemblance to the woman whom she'd never met. As Kalendol grew up, she began to grow closer to her father. Her brothers, who had no intention to go into tanning, left their hold to seek the thought of dragon riding, but they all returned empty handed. Kalendol sought to learn her father's craft, and she was a true prodigy in her chosen profession. Kalendol, being much younger than her brothers, did not connect with them in the way she connected with her father. When she was seven turns old, her dad took her under his wing, teaching her the skills he knew.

xxxxKalendol didn't interact much with the other children in the hold, thinking her work was more important. When she did have free time, she often sought out dark places with beauty to hide. Even going as far to spending the night scouting a flit's nest because she thought the flit's eggs were beautiful. Her brothers often teased her, being the only girl in their bunch, but she held no real energy towards them. When her fifth brother proved to luck out of standing, she began to wonder what it felt like to fly. She was only twelve turns old at this time.

xxxxWhen Kalendol turned sixteen, she began to prove overly capable during her father's lessons, with the capacity to recite them back to him. Her father, decided to send her to an acquaintance tanner of his who lived in Benden, to further her training and learn new concepts that her father could not teach her. And so, when Kalendol turned seventeen, he sent her to Benden Weyr to learn from his acquaintance. However, upon arriving in Benden, she learned of a clutch being hatched on the hot sands. Intrigue filled her, and Kalendol sent a message to her instructor of her wish to stand. She has yet to tell her father, knowing if she failed he'd be extremely disappointed. But, the young girl felt like she had to stand. At least once.

xxxx• Dreams. Kalendol's dreams are filled with equality for all, and the wind blowing into her face. She wants to prove to herself and her family that she can indeed do everything she puts her mind to. She wants to feel the bond of knowing someone will always be with you, no matter what daunts them.
xxxx• Fears. Kalendol fears little, but the things that do scare her are insubstantially driven. Like most humans, she is afraid of her own mortality, the idea that she could die, feel pain, the like. Though, this does not hamper her wilder tendencies. She is also afraid of heights, making her desire to fly even more prominent. Through doing so, she believes she will get over this reservation. More importantly, Kalendol is terrified of being a failure to her family.
xxxxxxShe faces her fears head on, every time. She doesn't cower away from them, always trying to better herself utilizing them. She knows that this can be somewhat irrational, but she feels little choice in the matter.

Father • Vorcane, mated to his "wife" Freyna when he was twenty-three turns old. Fathered Kinder, Drayner, Zechiriah, Cane, Jeen, and Kalendol. Lost his mate when he was forty-five turns old. Solely cared for Kalendol. Living. Sixty-two turns of age.
Brothers • Kinder, Drayner, Zechiriah, Cane, Jeen. All are older than her, she often describes them as dimglows, rather dim witted to the extreme. Although competent enough to stand. They're more power houses, preferring to utilize their "power" rather than their heads. She was never very close with them. Kinder is thirty-eight turns. Drayner is thirty-seven turns. Zechiriah is thirty-five turns. Cane is thirty turns. Jeen is the youngest boy at twenty-six turns of age. Kalendol often thinks her brothers believe she was the reason for their mother's death.
