Adrienne lay sprawled in the grass by one of the Pantheon's lakes, wolfy toes in the water. She was covered in dirt and out of breath, having just flopped down after running all the way back to the grounds from her grove. She'd spent the morning tending the ever-growing number of flowers and other plants that thrived there, then 'raced' her flooxes back here. Races with the little critters were always terribly one-sided, however, so she'd beaten them to the lake by quite a distance.
Rhodos was the first to catch up, fluttering out of the trees to circle her a few times before abruptly dropping out of the air onto her stomach, exhaling a great, exhausted breath - phew! Adi 'oof'ed and ruffled his fur. "Where'd you leave everybody else, huh?"
The winged floox responded with a tired chirp.

Kisten having some what exhausted the market place of places to explore, certainly he had found all the places within his budget, had decided to seek out nature. Mushrooms, berries, edible flowers, tublers, things he wish he knew about... and it just made him miss Kam.
Kisten sighed, dragging his hair from his eyes and paused. Sandy? No. As he got closer it was clear that one the person that attracted his attention was not his foster father of sorts. The white hair was familiar but the animal base was more canine, not feline.
"Afternoon!" He called out.

Person! At the sound of a voice, Adi sat right up, spilling poor Rhodos to the ground, where he proceeded to grumble indignantly at her, but she hardly even noticed. She was far too busy smiling brightly at the new person. New to her, anyway. New, and also very blue. How cool was that?
"Hi!" The werewolf hopped to her feet and extended a dirty hand in greeting. "I'm Adi!"

"Kisten." He reached down and took her hand, not minding the dirt. "It is a pleasure to me you Adi." He paused, looking her over. "I'm trying to find a polite way to ask what you are," he mused. "Since I meant a Goddess and one of her children who was covered in feathers."
"But, are you a goddess sounds a bit like I'm hitting on you."

"Oh, you can just ask! I don't mind." Adi giggled, her fluffy, beribboned tail wagging behind her. She was forever explaining what she was, and it had never bothered her. Neither did being flirted with. "One of my parents is Love, the other's an aoide who's also a werewolf! Which makes me an ageless immortal, but I'm going to be aoide someday...soon, I hope."

Kisten tipped his head, blinking slightly at the explanation. "I get that Love is likely another god or goddess, but what an aoide?" He knew what a werewolf was, and he could easily guess what an ageless immortal was. Aoide was new... and why would she want to be one?

"Yeah, he's a god, Rio," she confirmed. "There's a goddess, too, Khiviance. I haven't seen her in ages, though."
"I guess you're new, huh? It's sorta complicated, but aoidei are special servants gods have, basically. I serve Glyph, the God of Forests, but I'm not an aoide yet. I won't be 'til he thinks I'm ready, then we'll go see Harmodius. Soon, I hope. I think I'm ready!"

"Rather new." Kisten flushed, idly scratching the hair at the base of his neck. "I came in a snow storm, and landed in front of Cosine." Who was pretty and a bit intimidating. Rio and Khiviance... he would have to remember those names.
"What has to happen to be made into an aoide? Is it a blessing?" He asked, and decided that if they were converse, maybe they should be sitting. "Do you want to find a place to sit and talk?"
And wait, was that something with wings? "If your pets don't mind the extra walk," he added and shifted to get a better look.

"Really? People get here weird ways. Two fell right out of the sky into the lake! She turned out to be a host. Are you a host?"
"It's kind of complicated, I think, and a little dangerous. A god has to give you some of their mana, is the simplest explanation. I'm not sure exactly what'll happen, I asked Harmodius a long time ago and he said to come to him with my god when I was ready. Nobody really remembered how to do it then, but I hear somebody's figured it out since." She wws a bit jealous, if she was perfectly honest, that others had been made into aoidei but she hadn't yet. She understood, sort of, but patince had never been her strong suit.
"Yeah, sure!" she agreed. "We can go to one of the tea houses."
"Oh, this is Rho!" The floox peeped up at Kisten, then huffed at Adi and hung his head, prompting her to pick him up. "Fine. Lazy. Phlox and Dittany'll catch up eventually, or they'll just go home."

"I thought I was going home, and ended up swept right into a hallway. In my work gear." Which did not cover much, and he still had it, squirreled away somewhere safe. "Fell right into the lake? Were they okay?" That seemed rather dangerous. It made him glad he ended up sliding into a wall, instead of falling into a lake.
"Mana?" He questioned, and nodded. "Tea house sounds good." He liked tea... and coffee, and if they served little cakes so much the better.
He looked at the bedraggled little thing of fluff and feathers. "Hello, Rho." Kisten wiggled his fingers at the tired little thing. "He's rather cute."

"Work gear?" Adi tilted her head, curious. "Yeah, she was okay. Sarka fished her out."
"Mana's...hmm. It's a god's...essence, sort of? One of them would be better at explaining it than me." The werewolf started in the direction of the nearest tea room, in no great hurry as she talked.
"He's a floox." Rhodos fluffed his wings and waggled his tail at the blue person, chrring. "There's lots of them around here, all different sorts. He's the only one I've ever seen with wings, though."

"I'm a dancer," Kisten added, slowly reaching out to stroke over the rather rotund ball of fluff. "He looks to be all fur. Hello, there. Are you all fluff?"
"God's essence..." Yeah, now he wasn't sure he really wanted to know what the essence of a god translated into. "That sounds sort of gross."

"Are you? Rio's friend Leo's a dancer, and Nashwa too, but I'm not any good at it." This was supplied cheerfully, without disappointment. She could do a lot of things, so lack of dancing (and singing) ability really didn't bother her.
Rhodos accepted the attention with a happy sound, which lowered when the question was asked. "That's no. But he is mostly fluff."
Adi giggled. "It's not like that! It's more of an energy thing."

"You just haven't found your groove." Kisten swung his hips in an large circle. "Though I'm a firm believer that everyone can dance." He hadn't found a person he couldn't teach a simple waltz to.
He smiled at the floox and tickled under the little things chin for a moment. "Still, you are a darling little thing. I never seen anything quite like you."
"Sort of like the separation of soul and spirit thing? My younger sib tried to teach me that once." Kisten winced slightly, he missed Kam...he even missed Bel. "I rather miss him."

"You haven't seen me yet," Adi said with a giggle. "Some of it's because my legs are different, I think. I can outrun just about anybody, though!"
Rhodos tilted his head, closing his eyes and laying his ears back. Ahh, that was nice. "You should have seen it when Harmodius brought the sky back! There were bunches of them around. A lot of them attached themselves to people, the rest sort of wandered off I guess. I see one every now and then, don't know if they belong to anyone or not."
"Sort of, I think. Miss him? Where is he?"
