He really had to get back onto his feet, and that was part of why he ended up heading towards the sparring range. Possibly the other part was that he had to prove to himself that he wasn’t…awful. He hoped to prove that at any rate. At this point he could blame the fact that the shadowy ghost had tried to open his stomach and had, in fact cracked open his sternum. The scar was ‘magnificent’. But he had to get out of his room; he had to ‘get back on the bicycle’ as it were. He hoped to find someone already there, otherwise he’d have to see who he could maybe text to see who might be available.

There was someone there. Someone familiar to the Sun trainee, though it might take him a minute to recognize the tall Mist with all his clothes on. Zeke had been facing off against a training dummy, the ground around his feet littered with wooden wedges hacked from from a now mangled body.
On a pause he heard someone approaching, and he turned, curious.
Then he grinned, a half lazy, amused twist of lips, as he recognized the shorter man as the one he'd seen in the hall outside Ever's room. "Hey." They hadn't been introduced at the time, but Ever had seemed sort of distracted before Pushing Zeke back into his room.
"How was New York?" He new what Ever had wanted to pick up there, did Zac?

He realized that his mouth was open a moment after he realized who he was looking at. ‘Ah…um, great.” He said and cleared his throat. “Great.” He repeated, the heat rising in his face and he hoped it wasn’t –too- obvious. “Ah, yeah, New York was great, better luck than I thought I’d have.” He flashed a sheepish grin. “New, tattoo gun, ‘talked’ someone into making it runic, pick it up later today.” He added, the extra chattiness was maybe tied to the heat in his cheeks, like somehow he owed more of an explanation than he really did.

He really did enjoy watching people's reactions to various prompts. Zac's cheeks darkened, and Zeke's smirk grew more pronounced as watched him, expression just a touch predatory. Not aggressive, but but unyielding; shameless. "Good, glad you had a good time." Utterly neutral. If it bothered him that Ever had left the island with the other man it didn't show.
"Are you looking for a spar?" Seemed the logical reason for the smaller man's presence
His head tilted, grip adjusting on Lagertha's handles. "I don't think we are ever properly introduced," he chuckled. "I'm Ezekiel, Mist trainee."

“Zachary,” He said offering a hand back trying not to look too flustered or interested in the nature of that predatory edge to the grin. He let his gaze shift towards the rest of the training field as though that would somehow make him look more casual. “Yeah…. yeah actually I’m, yeah I’m sort of…. I’m looking for a spar yeah.” He rubbed at the back of his neck idly. “I’m a little out of sorts I should warn, got myself creamed by some ‘Ghoul’ in the haunted house. Figured I should get back on the horse eh?”

Oh this was going to be fun. Zac couldn't even look at, and communication wasn't much better for him. Zeke fought the laughter that threatened to bubble out, barely, before bobbing his head in a nod.
"Well alright then, Zac."
The taller man took a few steps back, axes up and ready. If Zac wanted a fight, he'd oblige.

Zac took a breath and nodded, so, yes, a fight it was, and by god he could do this, he just had to believe he could face down anything. “Mist, jack of all trades right? Master of none?” He tugged at the ‘mask’ on his uniform, he should really get used to it after all, even if it did interrupt certain gestures he might otherwise have made. Remiel felt good when she appeared in his hand, even if she was opting to tease him almost without mercy. {I thought we both agreed he was a hottie?} //Maybe, didn’t really mind either of them, dosen’t mean I’m going to DO anything about that now does it?// {Chicken} She countered but he could hear the grin as much as he could feel it. He swung, aiming towards Zeke’s right shoulder, the odds of him being right hand dominant were pretty good so it was the safest bet to try and make sure he wouldn’t have a repeat of the Haunted House. HP: 40 DMG: 9 CH: 1/3

Well, Zeke agreed with half that assessment. One shoulder rose, half a shrug, as he nodded. He'd have liked to have argued the second bit, but seeing as he'd only been there for a little over a week, the Mist didn't have a leg to stand on. So he didn't say anything, instead summoning Lagertha to his hands as Zac's weapon appeared in his own. The shorter man had him on range. Despite a reflexive jerk, Zac got a good slash in at his shoulder, one that pulled a wince. He worked with it, letting that jerky motion flow into forward momentum. An ax came down at an angle, aiming for Zac's arm. Laggy tittered, delighted, as blade met shield and she drank in the fear. HP: 31 DMG: 3 CHG: 1/3

Air hissed out between his teeth, he spun Remiel to try and block the strike but he didn’t manage a terribly good angle, deflecting only some of the damage and earing a jarring strike for his failure. “Nice mate!” He said approvingly. He shoved back with Remiel, trying to twist and shove his own blade around to tap at Zeke’s shoulder, it was at best a –tap- but it was still a strike if you came down to it. “Rather unlike that one…” he scolded himself. HP: 37 DMG: 1 CH: 2/3

He hissed through his teeth at the swing from Zeke, the impact was a damned nice show.
"Batter up!" He said, adjusting his grip and swinging, his blade quite literally screamed through the air.
