Okay, so I know that I am a little early (try a little over a month), but I'm really excited. I am going to be doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November, and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm going to blog about being a NaNo Rebel (someone who isn't writing a fiction novel), because I feel like that will help get the creative juices flowing. I am going to be doing a bunch of short stories and poems. I have a few thoughts in my head that I'd like to write down... but since it's going to be a collection of short stories, etc., I hope that you guys will find my stories interesting (I will be asking for feedback from you, of course). As of now, just I'm piecing together some ideas to write down once November swings around.

tl;dr
I'm excited about NaNoWriMo.

I'm excited too! I've tried it the past two years, but sadly I've always gotten sidetracked with school. Whoever runs things decided it was cool to put all of the midterms ever in November. It was awful.

But now I'm graduated and don't have to worry about pesky tests taking me away from more important things. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with a good story idea to carry me through. Your idea of a collection of short stories is actually really clever. It's still very creative while preventing burnout from writing the same thing the whole month.

Good Luck!

Small edit: I noticed in your sig that you are genderfluid. May I ask what pronouns you use?

This is going to sound weird, but it depends on the day. I generally change my siggy based on how I feel. When I feel masculine, it's Ivan and masculine pronouns. When I feel feminine, it's Morgan and feminine pronouns. When I'm feeling gender neutral, bi-gender, etc., it's either name with gender neutral pronouns. I was born with female parts, but I don't always feel that way. Thank you so much for asking. smile

Also, thanks for the good luck on NaNoWriMo. Are you gonna do it, too?

That doesn't sound weird at all! In fact, it makes a lot of sense. I have a few irl friends who are that way and many who just stick to the gender neutral pronouns always. I personally use she/her/hers. I like to ask so I don't end up assuming and causing someone unintentional dysphoria.

I'm going to try to work it in this year. I have a part time job with lots of down time, so I should have the opportunity. I have no idea what I'll be writing about though. Need to start thinking about that.

I'm thinking about using a perpetual they, but I'm not sure. I like feeling definite, if that makes sense. If I feel male, I want to be referred to as such. The neutral days are for when I'm in between or something. razz

Also, if you can, that's awesome! We can support each other!

Support is the best. Things always go easier when someone is doing it with you. smile

Chromo,

Good luck with your NaNoWriMo entry. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I have never heard of NaNoWriMo. Can you tell me more about it. I don't have the time to try it myself but I'm curious about it.
