Personality: Jaime takes everything a little too seriously; he takes himself
especially seriously. He does not have much in the way of a sense of humour and tends to misunderstand and take offence to friendly jibes. Unfortunately, he has a very short-fuse and frequently flies off the handle at the slightest provocation, whether intentional or not. He is known to pick fights with strangers just for looking at him the wrong way. It's not unusual to see him carrying a few bruises. Despite his seemingly violent nature, Jaime does not particularly enjoy altercations. However he has a lot of pent-up frustration that he does not know how to express outside of physical aggression.
Jaime is quick to jump to conclusions and equally quick to take action, for better or for worse. He is exceptionally focussed and is motivated by a sense of righteousness. He is not afraid to tackle danger if he can help someone in need or better mankind. While an admirable trait by itself, Jaime tends to only see one side of things. The world is distinctly divided into good and evil. Of course, Jaime
knows that it isn't really, but when it comes to making split-second decisions it might as well be. And once Jaime has made up his mind about how something is, it is difficult for him to absorb a new perspective. He can be pretty easy to manipulate in this regard, as he rarely considers alternatives.
Jaime doesn't really do tact. He expresses his opinions without shame, no matter how harmful they might be. That does not mean though that he goes out of his way to be rude. For the most part he is self-assured in his beliefs and moral integrity. However, especially of late, he has had troubling thoughts regarding the Wallist's teachings. While he will gladly break the nose of anyone who argues otherwise, he secretly harbours some doubt as to the divinity of the walls. He has so many questions that the priests cannot answer and they only feed into his frustration. As a result, Jaime has taken on a rebellious attitude. A part of him still believes that the walls are of holy creation, but another part of him simultaneously rejects the notion. He is teetering between two very different walks of life and he is unsure which to choose. More than that though, he is unsure what to make of himself.
Jaime has a particular fondness for dark chocolate. He also enjoys thunderstorms. Perhaps he feels that he shares their violent nature... or he just appreciates the weather's theatrics. He does not care much for puzzles; though he may have the mental agility for them, he does not possess the patience. He would much rather have a fast, easy answer. He strongly dislikes bees and other stinging insects for obvious reasons. In his spare time he enjoys reading, non-fiction especially, and carving, both wood and wax. On warm days, he likes to nap out under the sun.
