Losing the Camp was a harsh blow. For many, the Camp was their home. It was their safety zone. It held their loved ones, free of Negaverse control and brainwashing.

And now, it was burning.

And no one could put it out.

There were those who, in desperation, had tried. But it was a wasted effort. The location was compromised. Supplies were lost. Lives were lost. Defeat hung in the air.

Death hung in the air.

So those who had survived, had moved.

It was late in the evening, and the location had been shared with everyone who still stood against the Negaverse. Knights, Senshi, Cats, Dark Mirror Senshi—even some Negaverse Agents. They were motley crew, but they would stand together.

Because if they didn't? They had already lost.

Many were bandaged, injured still but too wired from the attack earlier that evening to rest. Many were clinging to life in nearby tents. Many were mourning the loss of everything—everyone—they held dear.

But they were there, together. For a while, there were no words. The soft sound of muffled sobs or groans of pain. But then, amidst the group of survivors, was a voice. It was small and weak, but filled with a strength all of them possessed.

"We have to make this right. We can't let this happen again. We have to stop them."

Hugbell stood there watching as everyone seemed exhausted, on the verge of giving up. She'd been one of the very few who didn't offer her power, when she had nothing to give.

However the princess stood there and looked around, the sadness in the camp overwhelming and even stifling to the princess of comfort who'd waited as long as she could and no longer she sighed and took in a breath. Pulling forth a small crystal she looked at it before looking around again and calling forth a magical attack. Watching as stuffed animals began to spring up around them, and offer their comfort and healing to those left.

When she was finished, surely having startled some if not most. The Princess looked around for the voice that spoke. Nodding agreement, "We need to stop fighting amongst ourselves and devise a plan - a solid plan. Can we do that?" She looked around, for anyone. "If we keep running and fighting against each other. . . We won't win. I've seen it surely you have too."

Though as she spoke she smiled, "I believe in us. I offer my comfort, my hope. Please, let us figure this out together." She was looking for Ida, Charliko, the other princesses and royal knights that were their allies.

Hugbell Princess Healing Magic! - There is now a field of stuffed animals there offering healing and comfort to those left. Anyone is free to pick up the plush toys and interact with them as they wish.

Niflhel was holding Snowball in his arms, the cat was sound asleep. Though the knight hadn't seen Hver yet and was worried, had he lost her too? Who else was gone that he knew, cared about? He dared not to look around the field. Though a stuffed animal suddenly appeared at his feet and startled him. Dragging him back to hear the words being spoken by others. One he wasn't sure where, the other seemed to be from the princess who'd offered the stuffed animals.

He gave a small shiver, it was hard to tell if it was from feeling cold and numb or what but the Knight couldn't keep his eyes upon the crowd he was more worried about the cat in his arms. Though he slowly reached over to pick up the stuffed animal that appeared before him. A small polar bear, which seemed, almost to warm him a little as he held it in his hand, finally pulling it into his lap with the cat who nuzzled into the toy purring softly.

Seireitei had arrived with Fai but left her friend to check on others. After that traumatizing event, she felt that it was better for Fai to be with the ones she loved now that it was safe for her. So instead she headed towards the injured to try and be of some help. Mostly, she just gave them a bit of hope, a friendly smile, and a shot of optimism. After all, people in the midst of woe did not need more grim faces. A smile is contagious and so is laughter, something she felt they probably didn't get enough of.

It was quite a sight that she came in time to see a Princess use a power that summoned stuffed animals. She had to admit, they were cute and probably way better at comforting people than she was.

"That is quite a power you have princess." Seireitei gave a little bow in respect. "I think we are united in our cause. Just that some people contribute to it differently than others. That's what we should do, find a purpose for everyone that will help towards our overall goal."

She turned at the sound of someone's stomach grumbling. No one probably thought to feed these people. What with all the commotion and injuries and pain, it wasn't surprising that many forgot to take care of their most basic needs. "Is there a kitchen around here I can use and food to cook? We can't fight or think or even recuperate on empty stomachs." That and it would give her something useful to do. She was actually pretty useless as Seireitei as she had no magic and there were no enemies around. So she powered down back to Sabina.

They lost the ******** camp and in the hubbub and chaos Emily didn't see where her father went, but she didn't know if her sibling or cousins or Uncle Tom escaped the chaos either.

She'd done what her father said to do if a raid happened. She ran. All she had was her trusty companion, her uncle's wooden spoon from baking before it happened, and aside wiping it off she was in a particularly sour mood, watching others mill about. Find safety, get there, and stay alive. That was it and she'd done that. Planned to as well. Still, she was particularly cross and leaned on a tree as others went by, tapping her hand with the wooden spoon as she watched. Everyone lost plenty, but she wasn't happy.

The powered forces were doing a spectacular job of ******** up their damned jobs and Emily was less than pleased with many, if not all of them, and her blue eyes flashed with fury as she kept her mouth shut, watching.

All Erin learned was that the camp was taken and Erin was out her apartment as quickly as possible with a backpack and a harnessed bun in arms as she went to locate the survivors. Although Erin didn't know what to expect, she knew to be soft and kind, and there may be children - thus the bunny in her arms to soothe the youngest and anyone who may feel some comfort from a loving, soft animal. She brought blankets in her bag - and one or two bags of trail mix and a gallon of water. Although she didn't know if Delilah was there or alright, Erin had no trepidations approaching the harried survivors and withdrawing her first blanket to offer around, coupled with ffering children to pet the nice bunny.

It didn't matter who they were. They were refugees. And they needed help.

For once in his life, Tantalus had actually listened to Damocles and stayed away from the attack on the camp. He wanted to be there, to help ferry - but without his eyes it was hard, and he realized that he was as likely to get in the way as to actually make the evacuation go quicker.

He still hated himself for not being there.

But when he got word of a safehouse, a place where they were regrouping - well. That he went to. Damocles would be there, he hoped, and the others who had participated in the evacuation.

At least, those who had made it out.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mimisbrunnr made it to the safehouse, and once she did, the Transcended Knight let go of her powered form and sort of...collapsed against the back wall. She was tired, and irrationally felt guilty for having made it out when so many others had not. Yes, she got to keep fighting - but it still felt hollow.

She didn't want to keep fighting. Not after what she had seen at the camp.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Asmodeus had not been at the camp. In fact, Asmodeus only rarely even so much as showed her face - she suspected that not a lot of members of Order were aware that she was the Negaverse's least favorite arsonist. She operated quietly, alone, because rarely was it a good idea to haul someone else along on a mission to set something on fire.

Also, she didn't want to drag anyone else down with her.

But, well, sometimes a girl had to quit operating in the shadows and take a stand. So she came to this gathering, and she took a spot near the back wall, and she waited.

Hugbell smiled at Seireitei as she nodded moving closer to the woman. "Yes we are all united in our cause, we always have been. But sadly our disagreeing over how to do things has caused a problem." She looked around, "Thus we need to set aside our differences and come to a common ground with a plan. I know this is easier said than done. I've seen everyone since I was a child, and when it was really important we all did band together, we all stopped trying to come up with the best plan and agreed. Now is another one of those times."

She made sure to try and speak where everyone could hear her. Though she paused when Seir asked about a kitchen and lowered her voice back to normal. "Ida would likely know. I'm not sure we have any supplies or anything for food though. We may have to try and send out a small hunting party." The teenager looked a little worried as she glanced around the camp.

Cruithne had powered down the moment that she'd crossed over from her last ferry. The heat of the fires she'd set had left her covered in soot and smudge, but that was unimportant right now. What mattered was finding out who was left. And maybe finding someplace to curl up and sleep for a week. Sleep would be good, though it would have to wait.

Dropping off her feline passenger, she stumbled through the milling people, smiling gently at some, giving a sad little shake of her head to others. She needed to find the rest of her Court. And well, she needed to know whether or not they'd be allowed to stay. Someone had told the Negaverse where to find the camp and she had no doubts that there would be people here who would blame the Court.

Just as well that I blew up the mirrors, she thought wearily. Who knows if those creeps had a captive Dark Mirror that they could have tried to send through. No chance of that now.

As she glanced around, she caught sight of a familiar and much loved face and hurried over to Tantalus.

"It's me, Uncle Ali," she said in a gentle, sad voice. "We need to talk and then you need to go hug your babies."

Setting a hand on his arm, she gave a soft tug. She didn't think he'd want to hear the news while standing in the middle of a crowd. Some things needed privacy.

---------------------------

For most in the camp, she was unrecognizable. Powered down and so obviously distraught, Arilee was not in any way the image of a serene Princess of the Dark Mirror. In spite of her impressive height, she seemed shrunken, frail. Her sunset colored eyes were dull and she hadn't yet made any move to wipe away the smudge of mud across her cheek. For a moment, the voice telling them all that they needed to fight back made her angry.

They'd all already lost so much. Why couldn't they have time to grieve and take stock and well, heal up? But the longer she sat and stewed and thought, the more she realized that she wanted revenge. She wanted to make the people who'd stolen so much from her hurt.

Moving through the crowd, she listened and tried to gauge how much they had left and what they'd be willing to give. Listened as Hugbell spoke and smiled. Clever little Princess, she thought approvingly.

"I hate to be the one to bring this up," she raised her gravelly voice to be heard. "But those ******** bastards knew where we were. I think we should try to figure out how and avoid a repeat performance of what we all just ran from."

Oh, to be sure, she wanted to come up with a plan as badly as any of them. But they had to figure out how the information had leaked out too. With a sigh, she powered up, allowed people to see who she was, hoping that this act of trust on her part would somehow help.

"Maybe instead of trying to all agree on one plan, let's try a couple of different things and just make sure that we don't trip over each others feet. And this time, maybe we can get our non-combatants out somewhere safe before we go to fight. Before rumors become fact."

It was harsh, likely cruel, but true. If she was going to fight for these people, spill her blood for them, she wanted the ones who couldn't fight or defend themselves squirreled away somewhere safe. She didn't want any more innocents dead if she could help it.

Jada was shaking from the effort she was exerting to stay within the protection of Scylla. She should have powered down and gone home, but she was covered in ash and soot, and blood- most of it her own. She had no safe way in and out that would protect her from questions. Keeping her civilian identity safe was going to be a lot harder this time around.

She shuddered, shaking her head silently. She had henshined up again, and she regretted the choice already. The attack- the fighting. Jada had decided she would fight, and her words had been so pretty... And now it was time to stick to them. Fighting wasn't all about the violence. It was about the healing, and the aftermath, and the mourning. Then getting back up to stand your ground again.

As she thought about the number of innocents who had been... No. She wouldn't. She would look forward. Scylla sighed, sinking down into a safe place on the ground, joining the others gathering around. Stuffed animals seemed to be joining them as well, and she eyed it dubiously. Still, a little stuffed squidtopus was just what she needed, maybe.

Couldn't hurt.

She held her tongue, and listened to what everyone was going to say. She was tired, and her voice was going to be small to the majority of survivors.

Right now, she missed the Blood Moon more than she ever had. The comfort of a family, and one strong leader. And more than ever she regretted not stepping in to help bring them together. Still, that was almost a decade past, and now was more than a court. It wasn't a handful in trouble.

did Daniel make it out? Wafflefries would love to see him.

The attack was sudden. Everything happened so fast and before he even realized it Wafflefries was now shoved into a new camp. Hell if he knew where he was!

The actual reality of the situation didn't sink in. People were dead around him. Bodies were charred, burning, people were dying and hurting. But Waffle didn't seem to register that. He was filled with excitement! Beyond thrilled with the battle that had taken place! For the first time he fought someone, watched them twitch and squirm under the sting of his beam. Of course it only stunned them so he had to run up and actually do physical damage himself.

Human bones crunched so differently than bread between his fingers. And the view of watching someones life escape from their eyes. Wow.

But of course as soon as he found that fascination he had been craving so long he was pulled out and shoved into some new camp where everyone was breaking down. Wafflefries was so ready to go on and fight more! He wanted to go back there to find that one Lieutenant that escaped him. Now he paced the camp now on the edge just waiting for his next fight!

Overall, Megrez felt hollow.

She had accomplished her objective. She had put an end to corrupt Penthesilea (though Thraen had done the most decisive work), the last of her turned friends that she knew the fate of and could do anything about, and had given her a proper sendoff. What else could she do now? The camp was lost, supplies were lost, lives were lost. To say that the blow to Order had been devastating was an understatement. Though there had been survivors and they had been able to gather again, was there even anything left to pick up? Could blood be pulled from Order's apparent gravestone?

The emptiness pervading her heart smothered everything else. She was without any further plans or ideas. There was a deep void inside her that would most likely never be filled again. She did have one remaining purpose that prevented her from going back to the burning camp and offering herself to whatever force would take her: she was still alive, and she could fight, and she would do so. However, when her end came, she would not resist it. She was done and finished, wracked by a black grief that clung to her like... tar. "I will do whatever I'm needed to do," she said flatly. I will become a tool. Point me, and I will shoot.

A glance towards the ground revealed something fluffy in her peripheral vision. Closer inspection revealed a round, bird-like stuffed animal about a foot away from her. It resembled one of the Squishables she loved to collect back when she had a collection of stuffed animals, and the sight brought the tiniest of wan smiles to her face. She picked it up, held it close, nestled one hand in its soft fluff. Her vision blurred with hot tears, and she began to sing, softly and in a vacillating tone. Singing to herself had been a coping mechanism that she had carried with her since she could remember; not even the tragic years had crushed her love of song out of her. The concerts she had put on for the camp were a testament to that.

"For though the storms are over and past,
Though the thunder's rage is quieted at last
Well this nightmare's laid me down in the rags here to mourn,
Here to mourn.
The night has left us crippled with grief
As we strive to keep alive our belief,
But a loss so great, it clouds all our hopes for the dawn."

It was an odd choice, singing the bridge of the song instead of the more recognizable choruses, but it was the first part of the song that had come to mind. If she was not interrupted and did not find anything worthwhile to say, she would probably run through several loops of the song before tiring out.

Fai felt sick, so the moment she was released from Seireitei's care, with assurance she was just going to sit, she was on her way to Arilee with open arms. She didn't even care if the woman was speaking, the way she came up and squeezed her was just enough to convey to Arilee how she felt.

"My refugee is further away." She announced, "But it has food and supplies and is under the protection of various powered, If anyone wants to retreat there, My doors are open." She breathed out, "I can take injured there too..."

Her arms let go of Arilee, her gaze searching the crowd.

Upon feeling a touch on her arm, Chariklo glanced down and smiled when she saw who it was. It appeared that not all of her friends had been stolen from her.

Wrapping her arm around Failyn's shoulders, she gave the young woman an affectionate squeeze.

"Fai, they knew where to find us. I'm not willing to take that chance with Safe House. Don't ask me to sacrifice you too."

That last was said in an undertone meant only for Fai's own ears. Then, in a carrying voice, she addressed those assembled and hoped for the best.

"Some of us still are able to wander the city as civilians. We know the Negaverse delights in broadcasting their percieved victories across the city. We can send a small group to gather information and report back. From there we can try to strike back. And I promise you all, I'm happy to to some striking back."

Hugbell smiled towards the Dark Mirror Princess as she spoke. Nodding softly, as she listened. They did need to figure out who was the rat though the teenager had an idea and she tried to hide a mischievous grin. "I think, we should call a meeting of the royals." She said directly to Charliko.

She also thought about this, "We still, however, need to agree on all the plans. No matter if it's just one or more. Because if we don't agree with any of it nothing is going to work. And yes I agree we do need the non-combatants out asap. However, we do need to rest some before we move again."

Hugbell watched as others picked up the stuffed animals that had scattered throughout the area. It seemed she could help some at least and even though it was only a small gesture, some healing and comfort it was better than naught.

Hugbell was hoping if the princesses and other royals could all meet they'd agree to send out a wild goose chase. See what happens, it would be a lot of work but if you had the people you trusted closest to you only know the truth. . . then it untangled the wicked web and lead it to strands that would be easier to follow.

"I'm compromised in the city, I fear a general king will be looking for me should I return."

The escape had been accomplished, but not without a great price.

So many... so many left behind.

Sitting with her back to a tree, facing away from the gathering, Ida listened as the others spoke of what to do now and found it hard to rouse herself to join in. Dark lashes lay against her cheeks and she flinched when Chariklo spoke, her head dropping to hang between her shoulders. It was her fault the hospital hadn't been evacuated... it had been her choice not to give the rumors enough credence to move the hospital as the other princess had urged her to do. The young woman hugged her knees closer to her chest as she rested her forehead on them, her chest tight with pain but her eyes dry as bone.

So many had died that did not need to. I could have saved them, if I'd been stronger, wiser. It's my fault they had to sacrifice themselves for us.

God, she was so tired... dirty, ragged and exhausted from fight and flight and a desperate use of her princess power to get the wounded on their feet, heart-sick for the lost and so very, very alone...

I don't think I can do this... I'm sorry, Hver. I know you're depending on me, but I'm not strong enough. I can't do this alone...

She had never been good alone and she had the scars to prove it.

Bohlinia couldn't handle what was happening. Not only had the camp been ambushed but she hadn't even been there to help. She had been miles away helping out on one of the many scouting parties collecting essential goods - bandages, food, fresh water, everything a surviving group needed to succeed in this world. But in the end it hadn't even mattered.

She had missed the attack, missed the massacre and so many had died. So many she could have helped and hadn't because she had been out collecting god dam bandages. She couldn't control the sobs that escaped as she heard name after name being reported as dead or MIA. It had taken all her strength not to go running into the camp shouting Ida's name, not when so many had been lost. She couldn't choose to be selfish right now, just because she loved Ida didnt mean she had the privilege of rejoicing in view of everyone at her survival, she couldn't rub it in everyone's faces. All she could do was duck behind a tree and collapse to her knees as she spotted Ida sitting across the makeshift camp, tears running down her dirty cheeks in wave after wave. The pain in her chest at seeing her friend alive exploded and the gasping cry's happened fast and furious, her hand trying to cup her mouth to stop the noise.

She was alive, she was alive, she was alive.

Running both palms across her face she wiped away both tears and dirt before breathing deeply, the shudders still racking her body as she tried to compose herself. There was no time to loose it, not now, not when she had let so many people down. She didn't get the honor of crying over this, she didnt deserve it. Coughing to clear her throat Bohlinia swept out from under the tree line and headed towards Ida, her first thought to make sure her Princess was ok and to maybe even start to apologise for why she wasnt there. Not that it mattered, it had happened and it was done. She would have to live with that burden for the rest of her life.

Standing before her Bohlinia pushed out a shaking hand before dropping into a crouch, her palm grazing over Ida's shoulder as if she was too scared to touch her.

"Ida...your alive...am - am so sorry for not being there, I came back as fast as I could but...the fire, you could see it for miles. I had no idea if anyone had survived and...and...am so sorry..." She bent her head down so the Orchid senshi couldnt see her tears. She didnt want to loose it like this in front of her, she needed to be strong, she needed to prove that she could help.

"I will never leave your side again..."
