Personality: Slow and wise, Arbutus has several lifetimes worth of knowledge, on top of the mass of memories that come from the souls that make him up, which he complete memory of. Slow to anger or provocation, he will calculate and analyze the situation before stepping in, if he decides to at all. Values his plants above others, the exception being Salte Pichi, his adopted granddaughter and fraccion.
History: Arbutus began life as a gardener in the time before the global flood. One of the few that was not truly evil at the time of judgement (he was vicious in protecting his garden) he was drowned with the rest of humanity. Wandering the seas yearning for his garden chained him to the earth, evolving into a hollow and preying on all souls that ventured too close to his garden. Once the flood waters receded and life resumed Arbutus could not find his garden amidst the mud. Leaving earth for Heuco Mundo, which was quite a shock for him, the old hollow was constantly attacked by the primal hollows of the desert. Defeating them, he discovered he liked the taste of hollow over souls.Thus began the reign of the Old Man. When Arbutus had grown strong enough his intelligence returned to him. He was able to remember everything, even the menories of those he had devoured.
His vast knowledge has made him a valuable asset to many powerful beings, seeking to use his knowledge to obtain higher power. A master of the earth element, he can control plant life at will, creating plants from seeds his body produces, he can grow plants for a variety of purposes, from poisons to remedies, violent plants to humble beauties. Many organic machines created by Arbutus have analyzed the mysteries of Hueco Mundo, Giving the Ancient Hollow the knowledge to survive almost anything the wilds throw his way.
Arbutus is one of the rare hollows to be able to successfully become an arrancar on his own, instucting his adopted granddaughter Salte to be able to do the same. He was a l9ong time companion to Marta Nicole and her twins Ayden and Zyne. The four of them survived in teh forest of stones for a centruy before being seperated during a battle with a fierce hollow of fire.
Arbutus has a secret side. Before his move to tear his mask and become an arrancar, long before he met the Ternary. He had been a Arcana Reibesta. Reibesta were hollows that evolved into an animal like state rather than evolve into humanoids. Tough as ironwood and able to blast dazzeling and destructive energy, Arbutus almost became the strongest cero emmitter in Hueco Mundo. But on the eve of his ascention into Verdadero Reibesta, the lord of beasts, he tore his mask in a final attempt to control his beastial self. This locked him into an arrancar form, and sealed the beast, but it waited for the right moment to return.

While similar in function to a Cero, a Bala is not nearly as powerful, but, thanks to its composition, its speed is 20 times faster, allowing it to be fired in quick succession. In addition, it possesses more concussive force than a typical Cero does. The overall speed and power of a Bala varies depending on the Arrancar using it.

By mixing their own blood with a Cero, an Espada can fire a Cero with much greater attack power and speed, in addition to having a change of color unique to them. It is many times more powerful than a normal Cero, disturbing the fabric of space as it travels. Upon release, it spins like a razor as it compresses and decompresses due to the sheer speed and raw power. Using a Gran Rey Cero is one of few things forbidden while inside Las Noches, for it is so overwhelming it could destroy the fortress.
Cero Metralleta (Sub-Machine Gun Zero)
Holding out a finger, the practitioner charges multiple Cero before firing a barrage of them at their opponent. The Cero continue to fire from these points repeatedly. While firing, one can adjust their aim to redirect the attack. This Cero's charging time is 3 times that of a normal Cero, but one may continue to fire them for a whole of 2 posts.
Hierro
Grima (Aversion)
By imbuing the user's skin with Reiatsu in an irregular pattern, an Arrancar's Hierro may bristle up, forming a rough surface with small ridges that may be used to scrape an opponent or inch long spikes that could be used as weapon. The latter is only possible, however, should one have excess skin or have suffered a wound in the proximity of the spike to allow displacement of such a large patch of skin.

Should a detached limb not be completely destroyed, will it to shoot out ligaments and tendrils of hardened flesh to connect the back to the user's body. These tendrils are sharp and are just as strong as any Hierro'ed body, meaning that they may pierce anything in between them and the user's body.

Grandpa is really old, but with that comes a vast array of knowledge. Arbutus is wise in and out of combat, keeping a cool collected head. He has lots of arcane knowledge of ages past, but not so much on current times.

*Singularity Bloom
Arbutus summons an enormous flower above the targets. The flower then sucks everything into the hole in the middle of it. When destroyed, by an attacker or arbutus himself, the flower creates a huge explosion twice as powerful as a cero.
*Root-Runner Fist
By plunging his arms into the ground, the branches sprout out of the ground and bound in arcs toward their target. Branches can only travel so far before having to plant themselves in the ground. Roots can turn in the air but can turn faster after planting.The ends of the roots can skewer the target if they strike or curl at the last moment to deal bludgeoning damage.
*Roar of the Forest King
Arbutus belts out a massive primal roar that echoes for miles and causes shocking fear in others. On top of the mental effects of such a cry, the extreme frequencies generated in his release form cause the area Arbutus roared toward explode with tremendous force. Explosions originate from non-organic matter, likely to cause the ground or the opponents gear to explode than the target itself.
* Yggdrasil Cannon
By sprouting a unique plant on his arm, Arbutus can transform them into powerful, organic artillery. The tree like weapon creates a massive blast easily more powerful than a Gran Ray Cero. The beam is focused into a massive sphere of energy before it fires in a straight line, but the impact causes a massive explosion, leaving a glass crater of fused sand when fired in Hueco Mundo. Using this weapon drains Arbutus greatly.
Also, This is an ability that few know about. Arbutus is strongly against its use due to its immense destructive capability and will only release information on this skill to the Cero Espada. He is one who relishes creation over destruction, hence his low status, often turning his foes into plants for his garden. Can only be used once in a battle and takes a post to charge.

Segunda Etapa Appearance:
Upon release, Arbutus' body collapses in on itself, condensing back into a humanoid sized body. He ruturns to his normal stature from before his Resureccion, but is now clad in ivory armor. The head piece is still ridgid, but acts like a cowl. The now super dense organic armor is segmented and can shift slightly to cover more surface. His facial features and beard are made of the same material as the suit.
Segunda Etapa Power-Ups By accelerating time around himself in a tight field, Arbutus gains speed and reaction time. While faster than before, Arbutus is by no means the fastest, an opponent with sufficient speed can easily keep up.
Segunda Etapa Abilities

The white bone armor leeches away life from anything that strikes it or is struck by it. An organic object would age rapidly in the effected area, while in organic items would deteriorates as if left to the elements. Repeated hits accelerates the process. Arbutus does not gain the years stolen by the armor, but a small bit of the damage received/dealt can repair the armor slightly.
- revertir cero (Reverse Zero)
the user charges a cero but instead of releasing it, fires it in a condensed orb form twice as fast as a bala. Releasing the cero's charge the blast flies in reverse to the casters emission point, effectively firing the cero back to its caster like a yoyo on a string. The bolt is not reabsorbed but condenses back into its charging state. This is accomplished by reversing the time flow on the blast itself. The blast can be fired once more this time at three times the power,but cannot be reabsorbed.

Arbutus can manipulate his or another's cells when exerting his full power. In this regard, the subjects body returns to the point when they were the strongest, at their prime state of power. The targets supernatural powers and physical condition are drastically increased as well as the elimination of their powers recoiling effected by age. After use, the target will age at an accelerated rate until they are the age were they started. A person effected by Prime Form stays in top condition longer the farther they are from their peak, but the power will bleed off at the same rate reverting them back to normal in 5 posts for a weak subject, and 3 for a strong subject.
To preform this ability, Arbutus channels a vast portion of his strength into the targets time flow.Placing a hand on the targets head He calls out a chant: "I turn the hands of time to the golden age. Formulario de Primer! " An hourglass form appears on the back of the hand on the subject which glows as the the power is funneled through the symbol.
