Kunle was out and searching with the rest of the pack. Leaving his pregnant mate back in the den. She was due any day now and Kunle was confident that she was expecting a rather large litter, this may be the last time he could go out like this and really help the pack for a little while.

Hoping that his bright red pelt would stick out in the mountain scenery he began his hunt.

"Hello, I'm here to help find you.... come out." his tactics may not be graceful but he was trying.

As Lead Hunter for the pack Sangria took it as a personal insult to her pride that part of the herd would go missing during harvest. How could they have just gone missing?! Huffing she rolled her eyes, barked orders, and spread out herself to solve the matter instead of relying on the simpletons below her.

If you want a job done right, you better damn well do it yourself!

At this rate they would lose valuable resources, and Sangria couldn't abide by that. The determined dog stuck her nose to the ground, sniffing to try to pick up a trail and coax one of the little hooved bafoons out of hiding.

Kunle was peaking in bushes looking for where a Klippspringer might hide. It was getting cold out and he was sure they would be happy to be found. "Hello anyone there" he said as he poked his nose into the bushes.

He sighed, he couldn't imagine being lost and cold and lonely. Kunle liked very much being a member of a pack. He liked to have a home and plenty of others around him. He began to move with extra vigor. He was hoping he would be the first to find a Klippspringer, it would give him something to brag to Bik about when he came back to the den.

Sangria had noticed a brighter male, Kunle, was it?, taking a softer approach. Was he...was he actually talking to them? She knew it was a common practice to keep klipspringers on as familiars, but Sangria snorted at the idea. The dark female shook her head of the act, and went about her search.

She followed a trail that had started off with potential that ended on a cold note. When she rose Sangria found herself burrowed in a bush, aggravated, but analytically aware.

Wherever the little ones were they couldn't be that far off.

As Kunle pulled his nose out of the bush he was surprised by a brown nose that followed his out. Clearly he could have sniffed to see if someone was in there better because he hadn't smelled her at all.

"Why hello there" he said kindly using a hushed tone in his voice, "Are you lost its okay I have found you." he told her very sweetly already his fatherly side was coming out he was going to make a great father.

Lera blinked a few times as she made her way out of the bush and into the day light. "I was lost" she admitted timidly. "But now you are here" she offered with a smile. She was glad the bright red dog had found her. "Can you take me home?" she asked him with a soft voice.

"I sure can" he told the brown klipspringer. He had never had a companion in a Klipspringer before but he thought that perhaps saving this brown one would be the best way to start a great friendship.

He turned and ushered her back towards the pack lands. Seeing a dark colored wild dog ahead with unusual makings he called out to her. "Hi there, I just found one in these bushes, the rest are probably in this area too." he told her with a quick nod, before moving back towards the pack.

Turning her head to watch the interaction all Sangria could do was gape. His technique actually worked? Granted they weren't really "hunting" so much as trying to coax what was already here to come back, but still...

She scrunched up her nose in a distasteful frown towards Kunle and his "friend". It was chaffing her horribly that this male had been able to succeed where she hadn't. There was never something that Sangria hated more than being 'showed up', even if she really wasn't.

"Thanks," she murmured, turning back towards the bush that he had come from. With a dejected walk she made her way over to poke around for herself.

Chupa had also decided to join in the hunt, and was doing so with great enthusiasm. She had hoped to have grown out of her clumsiness in her late adolescence but she found that it was slow in doing so. She still felt as if her limbs were just a little bit too big for her. It didn't help that she was moving so fast and so energetically everywhere either!

Where others walked she bounded, and if truth be told she could probably do a better job of keeping her eyes focused on what she was looking for. Chupa grinned at the others as she hopped to and fro.

"Hello!"

She attempted to hold down her initial disgust upon seeing another annoyingly chipper dog show up. Sangria forced a nauseatingly fake smile on her face, and said hello to the younger female before going back to her work. If these things responded better to sweet words than threats then she had a long way to go.

Pushing herself onto her stomach, Sangria nosed around the familiar trails that the other wild dog had showed her. Where are you? She sniffed, and finally said in an all too sweet voice, "Come out, come out, wherever you are~"

She noticed Sangria's greeting and gave the female a significantly more genuine smile, though Chupa was oblivious to the other wild dogs real feelings. She knew that she was often described as cheerful by others, but this wasn't always the case. Chupa was just particularly active, and ended up running and jumping even when she was in a bad mood. It seemed to ease her frustration.

Following suit, she lowered her body and began to move quickly across the grass, trying to breathe in any different scent she could. Her eyes darted across her vision as she looked for any clue she could. Chupa wasn't particularly great at finding things that had been lost, although she hadn't had much experience.

Slinking around on her dark paws the Lead Hunter started to coo for creature she could care less about. It seemed to show since her words were sickeningly false, and too sweet to actually catch any prey.

"Come here, little...dears." It burned her to say it, and her ears tilted back on her head. Sangria wasn't an inherently angry dog, just blunt and tactless. This hunt was beginning to become a frustrating waste of her time. Maybe I should give up?

No! She had to persevere.

Chupa had never really conversed with the Lead Hunter to tell the truth. Her interesting appearance and her matter of fact tone made Chupa's short fur stand on end, and she guessed she wasn't the chirpiest of dogs. The polar opposite to her, then. The red female changed direction, not to particularly avoid Sangria, but she also thought it would be more effective than them both concentrating on the same place.

Bouncing up and down she jogged the length of her trail slowly. No sign of anything yet.

Kunle returned after bringing the klipspringer into the pack safely. He sat at the edge of the lands now watching the other dogs search. He wanted to let the other dogs get a chance at glory but he also felt bad not doing anything active. Just because he had rescued one klippy didn't mean he couldn't help the others.

For the time being he decided to just sit back. If someone wanted his help they could ask him for it and he would be happy to give it. From where he was sitting he could see at least a couple of dogs were still in the search, He was sure they would manage just fine without him but just in case he was here.

Ooh, Kunle had found one, Chupa noticed. She smiled at him as he brought the little klipspringer back to safety. Relief washed over her. At least they knew now that at least one of them hadn't been made someone's lunch... But where were the others? The female trotted over to the Kunle quickly. "Where was she?" She asked sweetly. Chupa was a little less chatty and a little more tactful than she was when she was younger, thankfully. If Kunle could describe where this one had gone, maybe they could find the others?

Kunle noticed the female heading his way. Excited that he was going to be able to help someone he rose to his feat. Kunle was still young at heart and easily excitable. "I can show you" he said brightly.

He lead the way over to the bushes that the brown Klipspringer had been in. "I found the little brown one in here. She didn't answer me when I called out instead I had to stick my nose into the bushes."

"Give it a try around here, I'd imagine they would have all stuck together." he said a grin on his face. He loved being helpful. In his old home he was raised to be a leader here he was happy to be a family man.
