Personality: Will is a pretty straightforward kind of guy when it comes to personality. He's not afraid to tell you what's what and from the city he came from, for good reason. He's passionate about the magical arts, especially Magical Martial Arts and Chi, but is willing to learn anything about magic and help foster that potential whether it would be helping someone else or pushing them by becoming their rival. Will's also rather intense and loud at certain times, showing off his arrogance and thoughtlessness... but that is only a facade. Loud and obnoxious gets attention and when Will wants to be heard, he does what he needs to get it.
Biography: William Carter came from a poor town out in the boonies who tended to veterans of the last magical war. With being an orphan and in a run down town out in the sticks, Will found himself getting into fights and running errands for sketchy men for money.. Yeah, living in the orphanage wasn't always free when the food was crummy and the clothes were itchy and used. He was a punk without a role model who just strummed across life with whatever paltry coin he could muster... until he met him, Shingen 'Yun' Kiryu, practitioner of the Magical martial arts and Will's influential teacher and mentor.
Around the age of twelve, Will was deep in the courier trade and was carrying 'secret parcels' across the town which had been secretly covered up as 'local city disputes' when it was actually veteran and amateur mages vying for power within the city. Carrying a parcel for the leader of the 'Eternal Flame', Will was ensnared in a trap by the 'Glorious Gold' as he was found to be carrying an 'Ether Booster', a powerful mana crystal that mages could consume to gain incredible magical abilities for twenty four hours, but would cost them.. and he had been carrying the single most important part to setting the town off like a firecracker to burn in a slow death. Of course, Will resisted their demands and tried to run with their goods, but failed to escape as he was pushed to the ground and given the beating of a lifetime as foot, fist and magical shot pounded his form.... until a man approached the alleyway.
He was an older gentleman with a rather long black beard and broad muscles who seemed rather intoxicated at the time as he drunkenly stumbled into the alleyway towards them... However, when one of the men made contact with him, it was clear as day that this old man was anything but drunk. Almost in a flash, a strike to the neck put the first Gold member on the ground as he twitched. Then the others followed suit, shooting magic at the man as he deflected shot after shot with a wave of his hand, circular like a clock... Every shot was deflected so easily as he closed the distance. With almost blinding speed, the man knocked them clean out as he smirked and picked me up. "Hey boy, you shouldn't be playing with something like this... This can hurt people, you know?" The man hummed to himself as he squeezed the booster in his hand, turning it to dust as he turned and starting walking out the alley as if nothing happened... I was astonished, afraid and nervous. My breath froze in my throat and became a lump as I swallowed hard and shouted. "Please! Teach me how to be strong like you!" I shouted, my body losing it's strength as I started to tear up... It was a certain sense of sadness and the impact of how useless I was as a person and as a human being that rattled me. I was helping to do something bad... and I knew it. I didn't feign ignorance... I ignored it on purpose because the money was good. In my state, I think anyone would have done the same thing. Then I felt myself being picked up as he looked at me, lazily looking me over for a moment before a smirk came to his face. "Sure... I can teach you. However, It won't be cheap." And for the most part... I didn't even think of what that would entail when he first told me that. I just knew that if I had the strength to fight, I could have whatever I wanted. No question, no argument.
"Well, how do I begin? I guess we'll go off that this, even though it looks like strength fighting, it's actually magical combat." The man spoke as he took me out to a small forest area where there was a small clearing. Then in a sudden jolt of motion, he span in a circle as a strong current whizzed over my head and dropped an apple... right on top of my head. "Argh! s**t!" I cursed as he came over and chopped me in the middle of my head as he gave me a decisive glare. "Oh, another form of your payment will be that you'll straighten out. You won't do anymore shady courier jobs, you'll stop acting like a punk and you'll fly right. That' s the contract." I rolled my eyes and let out a sigh as he mentioned those things.. What was I going to do with no money AND having to pay for his services. "Fine... I promise." And with a nod, we started on the hardest training of anything I've had to undertake.
Not only did I not have a mastery of simple mana absorption, but I had to physically train my body and mind for the art to even take shape... Of course, nothing was so easy as to have it done in a day, but man.... This was hell on earth. Jumping with stones tied to your feet, running from end to end of the city to make a 'delivery' when it was some food or wine and then the actual mana training. That was an ordeal itself. See, the brain usually opens up to mana from a young age, but they can also close and made it harder to absorb mana when not in use, so it made my head ache. Slowly, but surely, I started to achieve results by this training. Not only that, but I personally began to change and so did my values about life. Less became about the money and making it big, but more about enjoying what you had and what you could bring to others. I spent two years on and off with my sensei, training hard with him and working hard on my own when he hard to go off and do his own business. He was the father I never had and the role model I always wanted... I was content with things as they were.
"So... what do you like, Will? I know you're into money and food, but what else?" The old man asked and I sighed as I placed my hands on my stomach with a smirk. "Stars...I like stars." I looked up to the sky, smiling a bit as I looked into the brightly illuminated sky. "They're always so bright against the darkness. They stand out and for a poor kid like me, they were calming and beautiful." The old man chuckled as he nodded his head. "Yes, that's a good way to look at it. Nice one, StarChild." The old man laughed, putting a hand over his mouth as he snickered and I, of course, tried to chase him down, but to no avail. Damn that old man.....
My style had come leagues ahead of what I had previously, learning how to control mana and 'Chi', a refined mana inside the body that needed mana to release it's power. I could strike with power, I could defend myself and of course.... I could be proud of who I was. "Looks like you've learned everything you can from me, Will. It's been fun..." The old man spoke curtely as he started to walk away, I wanted to turn and engage him, but he raised his finger in response to my motion... he knew the reaction wasn't going to boring or accepting of that simple walk off. "But you haven't perfected a quarter of what you've learned from me yet. So, I've sent you off to a place where I think you can refine your skills and make some friends in the process. Iron Fist Academy. Go there and achieve what you were meant to do... Go and be successful and pave the way for those who wish to use magic." He spoke as he started to walk away from him, the wind carrying his now silver beard in the breeze as he spoke. "You're carrying a serious tradition on your shoulders now, Will. Martial Magic is a unique style that not many can do effectively. It's special and your own... I just taught you the basics. Now you can decide where your life goes with it. I taught you right. You'll be fine." And then... he was gone, just like that.
Taking his advice, I headed to Iron Fist academy as I made a splash with the Martial Magic style. I was accepted and just like that, I was living a new life. Yeah, you just watch old man. I'll turn the world on it's head because you gave me the chance to do it... Watch me, I'll make you proud.

• Stance: Meteor- A hand to hand stance that focuses more on Offensive strength and speed than anything else. Lowers Physical Defense, but buffs speed and strength in exchange by administering chi to those muscles for striking and movement.
• [Offensive/Defensive] Shooting Star (Meteor Locked)- Focusing his brilliantly colored Ki into his muscles, Will is allowed a swift burst of motion in any direction aerial wise and back and forth while on the ground. This is used offensive to add compact damage onto a moving strike or to escape an enemy's blow before it causes damage. [Energy Cost: 25 Per]

• Stance: Constellation- This form has no physical buffs, but allows Will to manifest his chi into the form of a weapon with some form of adaptability and durability. Of course, they will never match a weapon of physical caliber, but do still admit physical damage and can be adjusted to shape his needs.
• [Multi] Star Form (Constellation Locked)- This is the ability that allows Will to use his chi to form weaponry and shields to his needs. As stated before, the durability is less than a true physical weapon but can be adapted on the fly for several contingencies. When broken or shattered, Will cannot summon another weapon for a period of time and cannot shift out of stance for a short duration. [Energy Cost: Small-10, Medium-15, Large-20 Per Weapon. •[Offensive/Trap] Gravitational Pull (Constellation locked)- Creating Chi lines from his hand, Will can change the consistency of the wires from thin trap wires to thick wires strong enough to propel him forth or use as weapons on their own. [Energy Cost; 20]

• Stance: Hailey's Comet- This stance allows Will to compete with long range opponent's by firing shot of Ki from his fist. The have a fast fire rate and homing, but they do only moderate damage and Will must 'reload' after firing about six consecutive Ki blast. [Energy Cost: 5 Per Shot]
• [Offensive] Sun Surge (HC locked)- Trading off for three shots of the basic attack, Will can fire a non-homing blast that replicates into a human sized fist. This has more damage than the original and has a faster form of flight, making for a good driving blow if the opponent has nowhere to go or is suspended in mid-air with no way to dodge. [Energy Cost: 15]
• [Offensive] SuperNova: Firing all six shots, a low speed homing projectile is fired and on contact, can cause serious damage to the opponent with a slight chance to paralyze/numb the enemies body. [Energy Cost=75]

• Stance: Spacial Refinement- Mustering his astral energy into his lungs and heart, Will overall resistance to physical damage and de-buffing attributes is increased and while he will lose a degree of speed due to this form, this form is Will's most durable state. Will's mass is also increased, making him harder to send airborne or be pushed back with energy/elemental attacks. [Energy Cost: 30]
• [Defensive] Astral Armor- Limiting his mobility to all but walking, Will's body is encased in a solid form of Chi armor which allows him to power through most forms of attacks without sustained fire or reduced effect on his body. This ability is good for taking a large strike with no way to escape or acting as a decoy for another member of the party to strike. When broken or shattered, Will cannot summon another piece of armor for a period of time and cannot shift out of stance for a short duration. • [Defensive] Reflection- Hardening the Chi on his arms, Will can reflect one attack from the enemy with his arm before the shield is dispelled. Of course, large area attacks may still hit and explosive energy will still cause damage, but is helpful on blocking a one on one strike. stunning those who hit the shield for a short duration.
