The couple of days that followed Nellie's very first mission had passed by in a blur for the Mist trainee with nightmares of various types of sickness and disease making her sleep deprived and slightly on edge as a result. She didn't let all that prevent her from going about what she felt she had to do however. Harlow, the other Mist trainee whom she had teamed up with during the recent mission, was still in the Infirmary and she figured that she ought to check in on her since that was what friends were supposed to do.
Making use of the day off that she was given for the mission, she headed to the same town that she had been to prior during the Guardians of the Galaxy movie outing she participated in the month before, picking up a bouquet of flowers, some apples and a novel before making the return trip to Deus. She wasn't really sure if Harlow was the type who liked flowers or read books as a hobby, but she figured that there was no harm getting her those nonetheless since it was the thought that counts at the end of the day.
Thanking the Life tech who had pointed out to her where Harlow was at in the Infirmary, she paused for a moment just as she was about to reach the door, making sure that she had a big smile on her face before she gave a light rap to the door to announce her presence before she stepped into the room.
"H-Hello Harlow..."

Harlow had honestly been detesting being in the infirmary any longer. She had been asking over and over again when she could get out. There was a lot of 'does this mean I can leave' coming out of her mouth as officials came and went into her room. She didn't like being stuck in this clean place. People came and went when she was trying to sleep, which is all that she wanted to do. Her memory was still a little foggy though, honestly, she remembered parts here and there of what happened but there was a huge chunk missing, including who hit her. She wasn't exactly mad at them, but it would be nice to at least know who knocked her on her a** so she could give them a high five because from what she understood they hit hard.
She was closing her eyes for a moment, people had been in and out extra today and there wasn't much of anything else for her to do but attempt to sleep when no one was in there. And that's when there was a knock on the door. She was about to snark about 'oh again really' but at last it was a small voice, one that definitely wasn't what she was expecting. She opened her eyes and looked up. "Oh hello." She put on her happy face for a moment. She hadn't had many visitors, and honestly she had asked to refuse most of them because she didn't want anyone to see her looking like this, but there wasn't much she could do now. She looked at the flowers in the girls hand. "Those are beautiful Nellie!" she grinned at the other girl, she sure hoped that she got the correct name.

The Life tech whom Nellie approached must have either cleanly forgotten Harlow's refusal to admit any visitors or decided that it would be to her benefit to have some contact with other Hunters apart from those in the Infirmary. Whichever the case it might have been, what's done was already done and Harlow now had a visitor in the other Mist trainee who started apologising profusely the moment she realised that she must have awoken the other from her slumber.
"S-Sorry. Did Nellie disturb Harlow's sleep? Nellie will be really quick about this. Just wanted to drop these off and make sure that Harlow's okie." Stepping into the room proper, Nellie nudged the door shut behind her, glancing around to see if she could locate a receptacle to put the bouquet into as she set the paper bag that contained the remainder of what she had gotten for the other Mist huntress on a side table. "Nellie's glad that Harlow thinks so too. So um... how is Harlow feeling? Did the techs say when Harlow can leave?"

Harlow began to adjust herself so that she was sitting up better in the bed. She was getting frustrated with being in here sure but there was a part of other that was a little happy that she had the visitor. Beside she didn't want to be mean to some one she had just met, especially when she had just been complaining about not having enough friends. "No worries, I have nothing better to do than sleep so I can attempt to later on." She offered the girl a smile and then gestured to the chair in the room,.
The other mist's questions caused her to shrug. "Not to horrible, I'm itching to get out of here though." she commented looking toward the window for a moment then back at the girl once again. "I wish they would tell me when I can leave." She said making a small face. "It's like they know I want to leave so they won't give me an answer." She laughed again. "I guess I'll just have to wait and see, How have you been feeling?" she asked looking over at her, she wasn't sure if the girl had been hurt, she honestly did not remember at all.

"If Harlow isn't too tired..." Deciding that the bouquet could probably wait for a bit, Nellie set it down on the side table beside the paper bag she had brought with her following which she reached into the bag to retrieve the romance novel she had gotten from the bookstore. Most, if not all, females around her age would dig this. That was what the store keeper had told her when approached for a recommendation as to what she could consider. "Nellie got Harlow a book to help pass the time." Nellie handed over said object with a smile, hopeful that the other Mist would find the gift to her liking.
Taking a seat on the chair that Harlow had waved her towards, she looked the other huntress over, innately glad that she seemed mostly back to how she was back when she had approached her to see if she was agreeable to teaming up for the mission. "They must have their reasons for keeping Harlow here all this while. Harlow did take quite a hit to her head after all so it's better to be safe than sorry." She tried to explain. "Nellie's okie. Been having some difficulty sleeping but hopefully that's just a passing phase." She gave a small shrug, trying to pass it off as nothing more than a temporary annoyance. The last thing she wanted was for Harlow or anyone to notice and start worrying over her.

"No, no! Don't worry!" Harlow insisted, she didn't want her to feel like she was intruding. She was starting to wish that she had honestly invited more people to come say hello to her and to talk to her. She was stubborn though and always did what she made up in her mind. She glanced at the book while Nellie placed it down and she smiled. "I love reading, thank you so much." And luckily she read anything and everything that was put in front of her. But she also had a soft spot for romance books that she really wouldn't tell anyone.
She shrugged herself, she knew that Nellie was right and she knew that the doctors were right and she knew that it was extremely important to get ready to rest and also to listen to what they say. Or in some points to not rest on her case because of how hard she hit her head. "Well it sounds like I'm not the only one who is having a hard time at least." If only she was to know about the dreams that she would be having soon. She hadn't had the chance to start to have the nightmares that were to come.

Nellie twiddled her fingers, a look of pure delight crossing her face when Harlow admitted to reading being one of her hobbies before that eventually faded to one that was a mix between contemplation and tentativeness. "Really? Harlow's absolutely welcome. If... Harlow likes this book, Nellie can make another trip to the same bookstore to get more so that Harlow won't be lonely or bored here."
She offered, quickly glancing down at her watch to check on the time. If Harlow was agreeable with what she proposed, she could go now and return with those books yet have plenty of time to spare to keep the other Mist company so long as Harlow wasn't worn out and her presence was still desired. Seeing the smile on Harlow's face and knowing that it was because of her or something she did made Nellie happy. It was probably presumptuous of her to assume that the both of them were now friends after that mission, but things like that could always come later when all of them had recovered proper.
"Yeah. That mission was a total mess." She gave a frown at the still fresh memory then sighed. "Nellie's just glad that both Harlow and Zascha made it out okie." She hadn't been able to check on Zascha so she thought that she might as well ask about him since both Harlow and Zascha seemed to be rather close. "Does Harlow know how Zascha is doing so far?"

Harlow shook her head, "no, no. Take a seat." She gestured toward the chair by the side of her bed. She was hoping that the other girl would get comfortable and join her side to talk. She could use some conversation that was more than just asking people when she was going to get out of 'this damn place'. She was ready to go, she just wanted to leave. "I'm hoping by the time I'm done with it I should be getting out of here shortly afterward." That was the goal, she had something to keep her busy now but she still wanted to get out of here as soon as possible. If she settled on another book that meant that she was expecting to be here longer than she wanted to.
She sighed and her eyes wandered to the ceiling. She listened to the girl talk and then she let out a small sigh. "It feels like it was pretty intense." She wish she could confirm if it was or not. But she did know that what they were doing before she forgot everything seemed to be pretty much busy work. She felt confident then, but whatever happened after must have been a lot worse. Well she did remember the lights going out. she could only put together certain pieces of what happened, but she hoped all together that it wasn't that bad.
"Zascha?" A small smile grew on her lips. "I haven't seen him yet, but I also haven't let anyone into my room, I really don't want him to see me a mess like this." she was bruised and it looked like she had ten pound bags underneath her eyes, the purple-red color too. And she wasn't even going to begin talking about her hair. "I'm pretty sure he's doing good though." She could have been being hopeful, being as she hadn't really hear anything yet. But he did try to come visit her which was making her feel pretty good.

"That or the techs may even let Harlow out of here as early as tomorrow." Nellie quipped cheerfully, hoping that some of her optimism might rub off on Harlow and lift the other Mist's spirits some. Leaning back a little on the chair, she went over the events of the recent mission in her mind then started to recount them for the other trainee's benefit. "Mm. Nellie didn't know what happened to Harlow back there. Just that Zascha was infected and kept coming after Nellie and Nellie had to knock Zascha out so that the techs could give the vaccine."
She didn't like one bit at all how all that had turned out. The helplessness she felt. Not knowing what she ought to do in that kind of situation. Having to turn on one of her team mates just because he was infected and she wasn't left with any other options. Snapping out of her own reverie, she took in the smile that had blossomed on Harlow's face at the mention of Zascha and returned it with one of her own when she confirmed somewhat that he was fine. "Oh. That's good to hear then. Nellie was a little afraid that Zascha might have a fractured jaw with how hard Nellie hit Zascha back then."
She might actually have been actively trying to avoid running into the Moon trainee ever since that mission even though Zascha had already reassured her back then that she wasn't in any way wrong for doing what she did. Knowing that he was alright from Harlow's earlier words made her feel better certainly but it was likely going to be a while before she would even dare to look Zascha in the eye after what she did to him. "So...Nellie was wondering if Harlow and Zascha are a pair..?" She asked awkwardly in a muted tone next, a soft pink dusting her cheeks as well as the tips of her ears as she momentarily held her breath and waited for Harlow's reply.

Harlow started to shuffle up on the bed that she was on so that she was sitting up straighter. She listened to what the other hunter had to say and then took a deep breath in. She knew that Nellie could be right, she was still grumpy about it. Nellie's attitude was contagious a small grew on her lips, she crossed her arms in front of her and then let out a small sigh. [color-lightseagreen]"Well, I hope you're right." She chuckled quietly adjusting herself so that she was as comfortable as she could be. "Hmm." She hummed in response to her talking about what she remembered. Maybe Harlow needed to be knocked out as well. that would make sense on why her head hurt so badly. Either way she was in pain.
A small smile grew on her lips, a laugh following shortly afterward. "He's a big strong man. I'm sure he could handle it." She couldn't help but to laugh once again. She thought that he could anyway. He looked like some one who could take a hit and she was pretty sure of that. She was thinking a little more her lips still twisted into a smile. She paused and then the question that the girl asked next caught her attention, and honestly made her blush as well. "Well." She started, a goofy, grin still on her face. She couldn't help it, talking about hi made her smiley and happy, she really did like her. "He is my boyfriend." She nodded and then looked up at Nellie. "It's comforting having him around."

"So long as Harlow's feeling alright, Nellie's pretty sure that it's just a matter of time." They were lucky. Harlow, Zascha, Nellie and any trainee who were there during that mission and made it back to Deus alive without any permanent injury. After all it was no secret that there were some who were dead and others still missing after that particular operation. Nellie was simply thankful that nothing untoward had happened to anyone she knew in person. So far that is.
"Oh..." The flush on the dark-haired Mist's face deepened first at Harlow's remark that Zascha was a big strong man and then at her forthcoming admittance that she and the Moon hunter were indeed romantically involved. There was an awkward silence that lasted for the whole of three seconds and then a smile blossomed on Nellie's face, the Mist huntress genuinely happy at the knowledge of the relationship that both her newfound friends shared.
"Nellie knew it. Nellie has always had the suspicion that both Harlow and Zascha are together so it's really nice to know that Nellie was right." She explained, hopeful that the other Mist wouldn't find her reaction odd. "So um... if Harlow doesn't mind talking about it, how long has Harlow been together with Zascha now and how did it all start?"

Harlow sighed for a moment and then rested her head against the back of the bed she was in. Her headaches were still there and they were a little annoying but she knew that they were going to get better. She wasn't sure what she wanted more, to not be in pain or to stop laying in this bead all of the time. She just wanted o go back to her normal room and her normal bed and get back to sparing once again. This laying around was driving her crazy but she was getting over it. "I'm trying to get out of here as soon as possible." She laughed, she knew that it was important heal up but at the same time she wasn't sure how much longer she could be here.
But for now the company was nice, she had been wanting some company for a while now, she looked over at Nellie and took a moment to think, when did they get together? She honestly had a difficult time keeping track of time while she was here at the Deus. "I don't know off the top of my head, I do know that it started not long after we both ended up here." she shrugged. "It's been great though, things get so busy around here some times, stressful even. I'm glad that I have him, it's a well welcome distraction." she smiled slightly thinking about it to herself.

"Only when it is truly alright for Harlow to leave and be put back on active duty though. No sooner." Nellie chastised lightly, getting up from the chair to lean over and tug some pillows over to help Harlow get more comfortable. If the techs decided that keeping the huntress under observation in the infirmary was in her best interest, she wasn't going to quibble with them on that as much as Harlow wanted out as soon as possible.
Sitting herself back down, she smiled when the other huntress spoke of her relationship with Zascha in response to her questioning. "That's nice. Has Zascha spent time off the island with Harlow on off days? Does Harlow think that Zascha is the one whom Harlow will be marrying some day?" She might be getting way ahead of herself but it wasn't intentional or meant to be a tease really. She really didn't know anything about romantic relationships other than them being a mean to an end in the form of marriage and children though the latter was beyond any of them given what they had given up to become part of Deus.
