Zascha hadn't spent much time in his dorm the days after the incident at the asylum. He was in the infirmary getting patched up. The wound to his side that Nellie gave him wasn't substantial to cause any real harm but he'd have a little scar to remind him. His jaw was still pretty black and blue from where she had socked him. The nerve damage in his arm that he had acquired from previous Deus events though had spread up his arm to about mid forearm. Whatever had bitten him had gotten him really good.

But he didn't let it bother him.

He was growing weary of hanging around being poked and prodded at, so he finally decided to head back to his dorm. His arm was wrapped in a clean linen bandage from finger tip up to his shoulder, his bite hadn't completely healed. The med people told him it might take a little longer with how much fleshed had been ripped from him. They were amazed he hadn't bled out.

As he came down the hallway he stopped, watching a familiar figure try to finagle her way into her room. It was for certain that he would run into her sooner or later. They lived only a few dorms down from each other. "Hey lovely lady need some help?"

Blinking a few times Zascha watched her for a few seconds. She looked like a wreck and that was just not the Harlow he knew. It seemed like the whole situation in the asylum had taken a serious toll on her. He didn't remember her being like this after the Sahara mission so he hoped it was just a fluke.

But he'd keep an eye on her anyways from now on.

Rubbing at the back of his neck with his bandaged hand as she dropped the bottles, he tried to force the worried look off his face to smile. "Ah nothing really. I was tired of being cooped up in the infirmary and they finally let me leave." He had been climbing up the walls honestly. Bending down, he gathered a few bottles. "And I figured I'd come see what you have been up to. Since you know, that's what boyfriends do and all. At least I think that's how it goes, I'm not sure. Just playing it by ear I guess."

His smile grew wider as she kissed his cheek.

As she moved through the door so did he, shutting it behind him with his foot. Zascha moved to place the bottles he had picked up with the rest on her desk. Glancing around, he shook his head, making a tsking noise. "We're going to have to work on your house cleaning skills for sure."

Making his way over to her bed, he flopped down on the edge before falling onto his back across it. Closing his eyes for a moment, he absentmindedly ran his fingers against his bandaged fingers. It felt weird. "Its ok. That last mission was hard and you just needed some you time."

Zascha wrapped his arm around her, letting his hand rest on her hip. Leaning his head down he kissed the top of her head. "It's probably better that way." He said quietly, rubbing his hand up and down her side in a comforting manner. Zascha didn't want to say much more about it. In the back of his mind he knew what had happened, what he could remember happening, was probably only the beginning.

Because that's just how it was in Deus. One thing led to another thing which usually lead to them all nearly dying. If Deus had an HR department they'd probably have a million reports to sort through.

The nightmares though. He always had nightmares after missions. Especially the larger ones. Only a few days though, they always end the same way for some reason. "Are you having nightmares?" His eyes lidded as he continued to stare at the ceiling. "I have, but only for a few days. The last night of them always ends the same though. Its strange and puzzling I can't quite figure it out. It happened after the Sahara mission too. And the Horsemen."

His body tensed slightly at her snap. Lips drew tight into a straight line as he fought back a frown. Zascha didn't really know what to tell her that would be a satisfactory answer to be honest.

But he managed a laugh. "You're not the only one." Holding up his bandaged hand he clenched a fist then relaxed it. "I was lucky my arm didn't fall off."

Zascha cupped her cheek in his hand, turning her head up slightly so he could look at her face. "They will stop over time. Just be the strong girl I know you are and don't let it bring you down too much or I'm going to have to kick your a**. Though kicking such a fine a** will pain me for sure. I would rather caress." Lifting both hands he made a squeezing gesture with both, a smirk spreading across his lips.

"Yea me too. I am quite fond of this arm. Its my squeezing arm." Again he made the squeezing gesture this time with only his bandaged hand.

He rolled over, leaning himself over top of her with a hand on both sides of her body. "Of course. I think of food, how good it tastes, what kind of food I want at the time, where can I get such food, when I can get it. You know all the essentials thoughts related to food."

Leaning down, he kissed her cheek. Lingering for a moment before pulling back. "I think you look beautiful. But if you're not feeling well I can go."

He crossed his eyes as she poked his nose. Wrinkling it a bit before rubbing it. "Hey now muscles don't be poking too hard you might break my nose. Bad enough Nellie tried to break my jaw." It was still kind of tender where she had clocked him. And only a lingering trace of a bruise was there, but it still bothered him time to time. But that too would fade with time.

"Just telling it like it is. You could be covered head to toe in blood and guts and I'd still call you beautiful. Perhaps in a morbid sense but you get the drift." Zascha lay his head down on her chest, looking up at her with a smile. "Nah, I really don't have anything planned for today. Besides its a lot more comfortable here."
