"The Ace of Keys"

Avast ye Mateys, Make way for 14Mushrooms, a storm be a brewin'

Time spent a week on Gaia: At least three hours a day, more on weekends.
Three of your Strengths: Improvisation when needed, ability to stick to the plan, patience, and being able to make a grown man cry rofl
be honest, three of your weaknesses: Gets irritated easily, which carries onto my writing. times I can be available, which is slightly limited during the weekdays, which I can always be found here 6-9 pm CST, and I tend to forget small details that are not pulled to my attention often.
Why do you want to be a co-host for the Pirates! room: Pirates are free. Pirates can travel, not stick to rules, and do whatever they please most of the time. I want to play that, even if it is just for a few days.
Three ideas you have for the room and explain: I think there should be some crossovers with the mermaids, because there are a lot of lore about the pirates and mermaids interacting in real life. It would be a change, with two rooms interacting so closely, but if one room fails to move with their plot, this rooms will not be able to as well, which is not so good.
A translation game! A statement written in pirate lingo will be posted, and guests must guess what the statement would be saying in modern time. Plus, guests should refrain from using any search sits, and guess their best shot. biggrin
What if we have more than one pirate crew? Then, the crews could have constant conflicts, and battles to keep the plot entertaining as we go along.
A character idea of yours that you want to be: A pirate who looks adorable, but has a ootty mouth. This pirate would occasionally be insulting pirates and guests due to habit, even though she/he promised to refrain from such bad language during the ball.
Why should we choose you to be a co-host: I work well with others most of the time. I am literate at the best of times, and semi literate at the worst of times.
I can also assist with art, if needed.
If you have any issue with another co-host, how would you respond: I'd do my best to refrain from causing any events that would make me become hostile to said co-host, and be polite.
If you feel you need to pull out as co-host would you let Pinkie and myself know?: Do you have to ask? Yes.
What does your pirate say: C'm over here and help moving this rope ya flee-ridden landlubber! rofl

Avast ye Mateys, Make way for Ciaos, a storm be a brewin'

Time spent a week on Gaia: around 3-4 hours on weekdays and more on weekends.
Three of your Strengths: Creative! Good at making things up on the spot! Always has Enthusiasm!!
be honest, three of your weaknesses: May forget ideas, kind of slow, writing may or may not be sufficient.
Why do you want to be a co-host for the Pirates! room: Pirates are super awesome. Also, I find it really cool that we get to use a pirates theme! Aye!
Three ideas you have for the room and explain:
-If we're intertwining the supernatural theme and pirates theme together, maybe we should add some (non cliche) ghosts!
- We can do some research and see what kind of supernatural lore is associated with pirates! Aye, lad, it'll serve well as the more spooky stuff added, the bettterrrr. (ghost noises)
- Events can be associated with buried treasure!! Or treasure in the sea. .etc!

A character idea of yours that you want to be: Hm. .
Well, there's this.
A deck cadet is an officer under training in much the same way as in a military context. Deck cadets train in the fields of navigation, ship handling and cargo handling as well as maritime law. A cadet reports to the chief officer. His or her role as a trainee is to observe and learn, while helping out where possible, mostly the chief officer. As they do not have Certificate of Competency, cadets cannot hold a watch, but will likely assist one of the qualified officers, often with the chief officer, with their watch.
Why should we choose you to be a co-host: I'd love to add or go on with the progressing plot. I'm diligent and I'll do my best to go along with the timeline/ story of the ball. ( or as they say, ARK, badum tsss... get it. the pirate ark of the ball- Okay, okay i'm done.)
If you have any issue with another co-host, how would you respond: I'd speak it through, and be calm. I'd also work out the problem and reach on an agreement, or if we still have a disagreement, work around it instead. If it doesn't end well, then I would inform the room host etc, and find out a possible solution.
If you feel you need to pull out as co-host would you let Pinkie and myself know?: Yes, of course! If not, please do not hesitate to contact me.
What does your pirate say: Ye be scrubbin' the poop deck if ye don't get back t' work, chandler! Er. .that's w-what the cap'n says.

Avast ye Mateys, Make way for Sari1995, a storm be a brewin'

Time spent a week on Gaia: Usually 3 hours a day (but I’m pretty much constantly on Skype)
Three of your Strengths: Patience, Productivity (especially in meetings), and Determination.
Be honest, three of your weaknesses: I am very forgetful (I usually need to be reminded all the time), a slow writer, tend to get caught up on the details (perfectionist, need closure for everything)
Why do you want to be a co-host for the Pirates! room: I have a really good character idea and would like to help develop an amazing plot for the room that keeps trying to be a main theme, but falls short every time.
Three ideas you have for the room and explain:
1. Depending on the number of people in the room, I think that having multiple groups like 2 separate pirate groups would be fun. (Or perhaps even guards and pirates, but we’d have to be careful with this)
2. Events/Contests: A talk like a pirate competition, pirate tale writing, flag designing (& meaning)
3. Adding in supernatural: pirates find treasure, get possessed by ghost pirates through treasure, (have to destroy it to be free --> eliminates “antagonist”)
4. (sorry, influx of ideas) In order to make it more interactive, I think it would be cool to have an RNG that lasts the whole weekend and contributes to the story. Like generate a number with every post and if you roll a 13, something happens. I know this would be hard to keep track of, but like a plot twist or the person who rolled it gets possessed by a ghost pirate or something
A character idea of yours that you want to be: A young guardsman undercover as a pirate, a bit awkward to pirate ways, speech, etc; he eventually decides between becoming a pirate or going back to the guard
Why should we choose you to be a co-host: I am a hard working and dedicated individual (I spent my whole weekend in a McDonalds for the last ball cause my internet went out). I am a good mediator for any conflicts that might arise and can work well with a variety of people. Plus, I work well in meetings, helping to keep people focused on the task at hand.
If you have any issue with another co-host, how would you respond: First off, I would remember to always be polite and respectful of other people’s opinions. Second, I would make sure that the other co-host knows how I feel about the issue and would learn how they feel about it. With our mutual knowledge, we should find a way to come to an agreement. If not, I would take it to the hosts.
If you feel you need to pull out as co-host would you let Pinkie and myself know?: Yes, I would.
What does your pirate say: Uh, ahoy matey! Timber me shivers? Wait, no … I think that is ... I mean ... Arrrggg?

Avast ye Mateys, Make way for iTripDinosaurs, a storm be a brewin'

Time spent a week on Gaia: I try to get online for about an hour daily.
Three of your Strengths: Creativity, Kindness, Character/Roleplaying
be honest, three of your weaknesses: Laziness, Indifference, Cupcakes
Why do you want to be a co-host for the Pirates! room: After my hiatus from both Gaia and the Annual Ball, I wanted to find a way to get back into the swing of things. I realized I was in a toss-up between a few of the available rooms. A decent pirate theme is something I haven't come across in a while, and I feel as though we can make it work.
Three ideas you have for the room and explain: Spin-offs on actual/historical pirates, treasure hunt, perhaps two conflicting bands of pirates (i.e. both in search of a treasure)
A character idea of yours that you want to be: A scholar that was kidnapped by the pirates. Instead of facing death, she offers to act as both a navigator and historian. She is the brain of the ship.
Why should we choose you to be a co-host: I've been with the Annual Ball since the 8th year (excluding the 12th). Not only does this provide experience, but I am also an avid roleplayer. I enjoy writing and formulating plots in my head. I believe I can bring a lot of creativity and fun into the room.
If you have any issue with another co-host, how would you respond: I would attempt to talk it out in a civilized fashion. If the problem continues to persist, I will contact either Epcot or Pinkie.
If you feel you need to pull out as co-host would you let Pinkie and myself know?: Of course! I would not want to hinder the growth of the room. I would find attempts to make it up if I had to miss a meeting or an important discussion, and if things get too hectic then I will resign from the room. However, I will make sure my resignation comes at an appropriate time and in a civilized manner.
What does your pirate say: Why is the rum always gone? Knowledge is the sea of wisdom, Cap'n!
