 Samhain was feeling a lot better after traveling with Ket, and convincing the spotted wolf to heal him. His lungs weren't on fire anymore, and he could breathe quite well again. The big male was even feeling so good as to be able to run with reckless abandon and no consequence. That made him happy. Made him feel as though he had what it took once again to rally his band of followers and keep them safe. But first he needed to find them a home.
That would be why he and Draka were out walking alone, today. He had sent most of his group out in different directions to scout for land, get to know the locals, and find out what was up in this new land of Tolas. He hadn't been happy to leave Telk, but he couldn't really remember a time in his life when he was happy over having been forced away from something that had been such an integral part of his life.
At least everyone made it here safely. Well... almost everyone. Samhain sighed audibly at the memory of his beta and friend Freed. The huge red and black male hadn't made it, and it had hit Samhain harder than he realized it would have. Freed had been his right hand man since the incident with Varok, Draka's brother. He had been there when Sam didn't think he could go on after Draka had disappeared, and he had been there to help welcome Draka back. Freed had been like a brother to Sam, and some nights he just couldn't believe his brother was dead.
Shaking the bad memories from his head, he tried to focus on the task at hand, however. "What would you think about reforming Hollow Earth, my love?" he canted his head slightly, to look at his mate sideways as they walked. The sun was just setting and the coolness of night was falling around them. The sound of night insects singing their songs mingled peacefully with the sound of leaves rattling in the sporadic gentle breezes that passed by, ruffling their fur as they walked along together.

 Draka was more then happy that her love was well again, but that didn’t wash away the dread she had felt when she had been stricken with worry for him. The endlass cycle of whether he’ll live through such a horrid event had plagued Draka’s mind the decision to follow him no matter what running through her mind leaving no room for healthy thoughts. She could only imagine what life would be like without Sam, her young were gone, her pack was gone, and Sam would be gone? Would it be that easy to run again, because that’s what death felt like now? Running instead of facing the reality of her situation.
But he was okay, Sam would be there for her if she needed him, she knew that and it was selfish to think otherwise. Sam needed her more then anything after what happen, his family was gone just as hers was. But the thing is Draka could barely remember anything beyond Sam and their pack; could they start again so easily?
Looking over at Sam Draka could feel his joy from being healed pour off him; he was the center point of her life now.
They could do anything together, even get past their loss and start again.
“Tolas won’t know what hit them, love."

Samhain laughed, lightly. "As well they shouldn't!" he spoke in jest, of course. He meant for this pack to be a place of reunion at first, making sure that everyone knew they could come home, that there was a place to come home to. After that, he wanted to open the pack to new wolves - Telk refugees and Tolas natives alike. As long as they could follow his laws and rulings, and could be trusted, they could stay.
He said as much to his mate, wanting her to be apprised of the situation rolling around in his head. "At first Hollow Earth would be... a place to come home to. I want to gather everyone who wants to come back. It shouldn't be that hard, most of us fled here together, after all." It was true. Though most of the pack was currently scattered, it was by his command. He had asked everyone of able body to go out and scout, to see where established packs were, and to figure the lay of the land. They all knew where to return to upon gathering their information, and they all had orders to be friendly to anyone they came across, and avoid conflict at all costs.
"After that, well... the moon's the limit!" he smiled one of his charming smiles - like the one that had won her heart many moons ago. "I want a big boisterous pack, with as many trusted members as we can support on the land we choose." he confided in her. They would never feel alone or lost again, he thought. It would be glorious, and the best part of all... Draka would be right by his side the whole way.

Draka laughed at the thought, of course Sam would want the biggest pack he could handle. Leaning forward to nuzzle her mate Draka lapped at the male, she knew eveyrthing would be fine Sam could handle anything. Unless he got sick again…
Pushing the dreadful thought away Draka foced a smile, “We’ll have to get in contact with everyone.” As the thought filled Draka’s mind the female couldn’t help but realize the terrors they were leaving behind. Lilith would have returned by now, along with everyone else.
“We should locate the Beta’s first, I’m sure they’ll have tabs on everyone.”

"Very true." he answered. Lilith was good for that, and he had left her in charge to rally everyone back to a central point in so much time. "She's got orders to gather everyone back up for us. They're all out scouting for us now, but they think it's just for a safe place to stay for a while. Only you know that we're looking for a permanent home." he admitted, with a wink. "We'll let them all know what's going on, as soon as Lilith finds us with the rest of them. It shouldn't be too long... I only let them roam for a moon cycle."
It was Summer now, and for how it felt, the last few days of the season were upon them. Fall was slowly but surely settling in and Sam couldn't wait to find out what this new season would bring. At present, the pair were walking through a thick forest, guided here by the mountain side, which seemed to be impassable. He wondered if they might find a system of caves within this area that they could move into. It had been raining the past few days, enough so that the groundcover under the trees was still moist. It was humid where the pair was walking, and there was a thin veil of mist surrounding them. "This is nice." he commented, off handedly. He was still thinking about finding a home and getting everyone back together, but couldn't help but notice the interesting way the mist swirled around the trees.
Sam breathed easy as they walked, thankful to be uninhibited by the awful sickness that kept him from breathing before. Ket had done a good job of keeping him alive, and healing him once they had found a safe place to stop. It had taken him a few days after that, but he had recovered back to where he had been before... when everything had been perfect. "Mountains here.. nice thick forest." he mused, looking around as they walked. They had come upon a series of streams and pools, suddenly. "Oooohh. Care for a swim?" he grinned. He wondered where the water was coming from, as he didn't see any streams or falls from the mountain side. Could it be coming from under the ground itself?
