Introduction

The Rules

The Rules
  1. You may only post for ONE character per post.
  2. NO DELETING POSTS - You will receive an automatic greylisting for deleting posts. There is plenty of room for danger AND safety in this system, abuse will not be tolerated.
  3. Burn Posts are the action posts where one determines how much thread is burned and chance of being scored.
  4. Damage Posts are posts made separately from the Burn Posts, should a dragon suffer Threadscore. These must be separate from Burn Posts.
  5. Both Burn Posts and Damage Posts count towards the waiting period when a dragon's HP drops to 0.
  6. If you are withdrawing your character, please note this in bold in your post at the top.
  7. Please keep a tally of your EXP somewhere, be it a journal or otherwise. A separate thread for buying stats will be available.
  8. How to build your dragon's stats is described below, along with how to roll for damage and thread burning. Please note Silvers have a slightly different method.
  9. Time Riders ONLY: If a dragon participated in (aka posted during the Time Riders Event in Arc 1) the Time Riders' activities, their experience with Threadfall gives them a stat bonus of +5 to HP and +2 to Agility when initially calculating stats.

Golds and breeding crimsons
The above system deals with dragons in the main combat wings. If you play a gold dragon, or a breeding crimson, things are a bit different! As these dragons fly down at the bottom of a fall they are at low risk of injury but also don't burn as much thread because there is less left. Instead of 2d10 or 2d12 these dragons roll 2d4. The first dice represents the amount of Thread they burned. The second dice is your damage dice, you only take damage if you roll a 1. If you roll a 1 you then roll another 1d4 to determine how much damage you take. Agility is taken into account as normal.

An Explanation
Threadfall will be a dice-based mini game periodically run by the staff. Some falls will be small, some large, and sometimes it will come in waves - these will be reflected by staff posts labelled Incoming Thread! that players will need to respond to.

The danger of Threadfall is very real and there exists a chance for a character to die in-game. However, in order to keep this decision with the players, there is a 'life' system associated with the games - exceed your allotted lives and your character perishes due to fatal injury from Thread. The rules are described above and it is important to note that a character can withdraw at any time.

For an example Threadfall please see here.
