The Fire Field: A series of thick rock pillars, all different sizes of height, reach towards the stadium ceiling from a pool of hot lava. While there is a fire-proof net far below to catch any pokemon that falls off the platforms, the rock pillars themselves are hot to the touch. They can cause burns if your pokemon stand still for a set period of time. The air around the field is very heavy from the extreme heat. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to FIRE type attacks. This field reduces ICE and WATER type attacks by 25 HP.

Alexa walked into the stadium and looked around. She took a deep breath and headed for her trainer box. She released her pokemon, Pyrrhus, and looked at him for a moment. "Okay Pyrrhus. This time we're going to be fighting a..." She trailed off as the little guy was clinging to her leg and clearly did not want to battle. She knelt down and hugged him. "It's okay Pyrrhus. Win or lose you'll do great! And look we're on your home field: the fire field.... oh don't give me that. If you don't battle you won't get stronger and you won't evolve one day." She said to him. She gave him a final hug and lightly pushed him out of the trainer box.

Lyle trotted out into the field, and instantly began sweating. He would have pulled his hat off to fan himself with the brim, but Spinel was sitting on it, as usual. It might be uncomfortable in here, but at least the fire field would be easy enough for Hematite to navigate, considering she floated and wouldn't have to worry about standing on the hot stone pillars.
He turned to the Haunter floating beside him and said, "Go on out, Hematite." She nodded and floated into the field, looking across for her opponent.

Alexa waved to Lyle and then focused on the pokemon. She saw the ghost pokemon and began to think of how to fight it. For now she would stick to Pyrrhus' strengths. "Alright Pyrrhus. Start off with Incinerate!" She called out. Pyrrhus had waddled into the field and slowly climbed up onto the smallest of the pillars. He saw the ghost and nearly wailed from fright. He didn't like scary things like ghosts!
Hearing his trainer call out a command he looked at her pleadingly. He caught the stern look and sighed/cried. He turned back to his opponent. He took in a deep breath and then released a huge fireball.[ Move Used in This Post: Incinerate] [ Moves Used Thus Far: Incinerate] [ HP: 900/900]

Lyle sweated even more as the little Darumaka released a huge burst of flame. Hematite of course could not sweat, but was made even more uncomfortable than her trainer when she was engulfed in the flame. As the attack dissipated, Lyle called, "Try Hypnosis." Hematite floated closer to Pyrrhus, grinned widely and started waving her hands about in a manner intended to be hypnotic. Pyrrhus' feet were starting to get hot so he quickly jumped to a nearby pillar that was near the same height as the one he was on. He turned and suddenly there was the Haunter. He shrieked and curled up into a ball. Thus he missed the Hypnosis attack.Alexa sighed and cupped her hands around her mouth. "If she scares you that much then blast her away with another attack!" She yelled. Pyrrhus slowly uncurled as he heard his trainer yell to him. He glanced at her for a moment and then faced Hematite. mewrose So sorry about the delay. Kinda forgot about this. sweatdrop Alexa watched where her pokemon was going while fanning herself. It was so hot compared to what her home was like. It was far cooler up in the north. "Alright use another attack!" Turning towards the ghost finally, Pyrrhus looked at his opponent. He then took in a deep breath, his body bending backwards almost. mewrose Okay next time I just don't need to debate for like a month on what to do when hit with hypnosis. Alexa groaned as her pokemon succumbed to the hypnosis. She could only hope that he would wake up quickly and not take too much damage. Or suffer another sleep inducing attack. Hematite grinned when Pyrrhus finally closed his eyes. Lyle almost whooped in excitement, but decided the extra noise would not be wise around a sleeping opponent. "Great, now Dream Eater," he instructed." Hematite drifted closer and sucked the other pokemon's dreams towards her, feasting on their energy. Alexa watched as the Haunter moved closer to her pokemon. She wanted to yell at her to keep away but there was no point in that. She watched Pyrrhus closely and noticed him twitching. "Come on.. come on.... PYRRHUS WAKE UP!" She yelled. Pyrrhus tossed in his sleep feeling an odd sensation. He was about to just roll over and sleep on. However he heard his trainer call out to him and woke up. He sat up and saw the ghost super close to him. His eyes grew wide and he drew in a breath. It turned out getting closer to Pyrrhus has not been wise. The smaller pokemon woke up more quickly then Hematite had expected, and sent out a huge burst of flame, right in her face. Lyle cringed when he saw his pokemon enveloped in flames, but when they passed she was still up. "Try Hypnosis again," he called. "Good job!" Alexa called out when she saw Pyrrhus attack so quickly, "Get away quickly!" That was one thing she was trying to teach him: attack and flee. It wasn't working so well but it seemed he was finally getting it. Pyrrhus missed the Hypnosis as he curled up into a ball and rolled off the pillar. He landed on one below it and stopped himself from rolling off. He rubbed his little bum as it nearly got burned from laying on the pillar when he was asleep.
Turning around he saw that he had the low ground; a disadvantage normally. He figured if he made his incinerate attack really big that he could envelope the entire pillar and hopefully get Hematite. He sucked in a really big breath and then released it making the pillar explode in flames.[ Move Used in This Post: Incinerate] [ Moves Used Thus Far: Incinerate] [ HP: 800/900]
