 Tenzin
It was a golden afternoon in the Western Forest, what with the sun seeping through the foliage and creating pretty dapples on the floor. Tenzin was partial to this time of day for this exact reason. The branches above his head swayed in a soft breeze; the leaves brushed against each other, their rustling sounding like rain.
The draft stallion was taking a stroll through the forest, thinking about how pleasant it had been to grow up in the forest. The setting was one of the better parts of his childhood, as he had many adventures here. His parents... They were not as grand.
His mother had always had a case of wanderlust, so she left almost immediately after he fell from his basket. She would've taken him with her, if he could've followed fast enough, but he was a wobbly-legged foal, it had been impossible.. His father was the one that ended up taking care of him for a time. As it was from his father that he inherited his physical strengths from, it was his father who taught him how to utilize such strength.
It wasn't long into his life before his father left too, having determined that Tenzin was as fit as a foal could be. With a farewell, Tenzin's father left, and he'd never seen either of his parents since.
Despite growing up majorly in solitude, Tenzin grew to be a noble-hearted, strong-willed stallion. He even came across a few Soquili, though with one look at his giant physique they turned tail and fled. Henceforth, his social skills have always been rather... lacking.
Such thoughts were bringing his happy mood down, so he shook his head, hoping to shake the thoughts away too. He stopped after a moment, and tilted his head back, gazing up at the rays of light between the trees.
A rustling in the bushes pulled his attention away from the sky, however, and he turned to face the bushes, where he'd heard movement. Ears pricked, he wondered if it was another Soquili. He fidgeted slightly, unsure what to say or do for a moment, before deciding that it was best to alert them that he was friendly. Maybe this one, if it was another Soquili, would not flee at the sight of him.
"Hello, hello?" Tenzin asked the bushes, "You needn't be afraid, I promise. I'm friendly, and I certainly don't bite."

Threnah had been wandering in the forest not really paying mind to anything but the sounds of birds singing and the sun shining prettily through the leaves had her attention and she had suddenly realized she was now lost. With her ears perked forward she was listening to see if she could find another Soquili that might live in the area that would know how to get back home. She seemed to be in luck. Hearing a stallion call out to her she stepped out of the bushes that she had been behind and she looked surprised at just how big the male was. "Oh hello there. Im not afraid, you seem like a nice fellow." She said a hint of a smile on her face. If she was nice to this male perhaps he would be kind in turn and tell her just where she was. "Um... Do you live here? I didn't pay attention to where I was going and I ended up becoming lost. Its just the forest is so pretty!"

 Tenzin
Tenzin was still surprised when a Soquili stepped out of the bushes and approached him. The rustling could've been the wind, or a stray rabbit, but he'd actually been right! What was even more surprising was that the Soquili mare walked right up to him, and didn't make a move as though she was going to flee!
He smiled at her compliment, recovering from a surprised silence, bowing his head slightly so that he was on her eye level. It was rather timely that he did so, as shortly after, she explained that she was lost.
"Yes, I live here." He informed her, stepping back a bit, so she could see further into the forest. The way he had came was through a path that lead further into the forest, "I spend much of my time in these forests, though I consider all of the Western Region to be my homelands, not just these woods." He explained to the mare.
Facing her again, he glanced her over. He didn't mean to stare, but her appearance, what with a heart on her rear and vibrant pink hair. She was a pretty thing, however, and her presence gave him a sort of comfort. Additionally, she was being pleasant with him, and not running away. The least he could do to return this politeness would be to escort her to the border, or to wherever she needed to go in order to, well, not be lost.
"So, Miss..." It occurred to him that he didn't know her name, and that he hadn't introduced himself, oh dear. "Wait-I'm sorry. My name is Tenzin." He said, taking a step back so that he could bow properly, and not bump heads with her. Straightening, he continued his thought, "Where is it that you call home?"

The mare took a small step back to get a better view of the stallion as he was rather large and she felt very small compared to him. She felt small next to normal stallions so it was natural that with his size she would feel that way. Threnah looked relieved when he spoke stating he lived in the forest. That meant he could show her how to return home. Of course she didn't want to return yet she would like to explore the forest a bit more. "You are very lucky to live in such a place as this." "Oh, right, Im Threnah. It is a pleasure to meet you Tenzin." She said tilting her head slightly in a bit of a horse smile. "I live near the river. Though I must say Im not really ready to go home yet. Unless you wish for me to leave. I don't mean to impose on your territory."

 Tenzin
When the mare took a step back, Tenzin wondered if she was preparing to run away. What he had done to spook her, he didn't know, but he was quite sorry for it. However, shortly after this thought, he realized that she wasn't running away, but that she was instead doing it to take in a better view of himself. He was certainly taller than the mare below him, so it was reasonable that she did so.
As the mare remarked that he was very lucky to live in the forest, his eyes brightened. Such a lovely conversation this was turning out to be, and such a nice mare that he was able to talk to. She certainly seemed like a sweet thing.
She introduced herself to be called Threnah, and she even claimed that it was a pleasure to meet him. What a fancy way of greeting a Soquili! He would have to remember that in the future, if he ever got the chance to encounter another who didn't flee at the sight of his size.
"Don't go!" He exclaimed when she mentioned that she would leave if he desired her to. He shook his head, clearing the panic of being alone again and made a soft noise of embarrassment.
"I'm sorry, it's just been a while since I've had someone to talk to. You can stay here as long as you wish to." He said, his tone warm. His ears perked at a sudden idea and he turned his head away from the mare and towards the direction of the small mountain range that had a path not far from that area. A few days' journey, likely two or three, but at the end of the path were the Natural Hot Springs of the Western Region. If the mare was interested in such a location, he wouldn't mind escorting her there, and then back to her home again.
"Threnah, how long are you planning on staying? I aks because I know of a hot springs a few days' journey from the forest. If you were curious, I would be happy to escort you there, and then back to your home." He paused, wondering if it was too ridiculous of a proposal. After all, they had only just introduced themselves. Upon this thought, he added, "Or, if you'd rather keep to the forests, I can show you around here."

Threnah realized that the stallion before her was rather lonely in the way his expression changed as she stepped back. He though she was about to run and she felt bad for the male. It wasn't his fault that he was rather intimidating due to his size. After all, could one help being born such a way? Threnah could tell that the more they talked the happier he was getting. The stallion must live a rather lonely life in the forest and she wanted to protect him. Little as she was, it wasn't his fault, and he seemed kind enough that no one should run from him. She gave a soft chuckle at his outburst and shook her head. "I wont go, don't worry Tenzin. After all, even the biggest stallions need friends don't they? I will stay as long as is allowed. I would like to see more of the forest." Her eyes brightened as he spoke of hotsprings. If she wasn't a fully grown she might have pranced about in excitement. "Hot springs? I have never been to any before. Are they as wonderful as everyone says?" Now it was her turn to blush in embarrassment as she turned her head away from him until she felt her cheeks cool. "I apologize for my excitement. I am used to the cold waters of the river. I have heard that hot springs have healing properties but are also good for relaxing in. I would like to see them, but I don't want to make you travel out of your way."

 Tenzin
Tenzin was relieved to find that Threnah wasn't bothered by his outburst, nor was she bothered by his sudden offer to take her to the hot springs. In fact, she seemed to be the opposite of bothered, and acted rather excitedly instead.
Seeing her so excited made him smile too, and he waited until she'd settled before he spoke. "I've always found them to be rather magical. The waters are quite soothing, and make an enjoyable end to a long journey." He explained, when she'd asked if they were truly as wonderful as rumors told. When she went on to saying how she was sorry for her excitement he shook his head, "Please, there's no need for that. I enjoy being able to make others happy, and if going to the hot springs suits your fancy, it would hardly be out of my way." He assured her.
He wasn't sure how much energy she had within herself however, and a day's rest was always best before a journey, so he suggested, "As opposed to starting off today, however, why don't I take you back to my home. We can rest up until morning, and then set out. Does that sound like an appealing plan?" He asked her.

"Then I look forward to going to them with you Tenzin." She said rather happily. "May I ask, why do you live in these woods alone? A kind stallion like yourself should be with others." She said sweetly wishing to have a conversation as they walked. "We can leave whenever you think the best timing would be. Since it is already rather late in the day, starting early tomorrow would mean we will travel during the day. That is the safest time to travel isn't it?" She asked after a moment before she moved to stand beside him. She wasn't sure why, but the stallion intrigued her and she wouldn't mind learning more about him.

 Tenzin
Tenzin was happy for the company, but the question she'd asked about his living arrangements had bothered him. He tried not to let it show on his face, but the stallion had always been an open book. He never had to hide his feelings when he lived in solitude, so suddenly doing it around others was almost impossible. Still, he chose to answer her other questions instead.
"Yes, the safest time to travel is in the daylight hours." He confirmed before going on. "In which case, if you're not opposed to it, I'll take you to my home." He wondered if she would think it to be a 'home' sort of place. It wasn't a Native's creation, nor was it his own. It was simply a convenient place to rest and it wasn't far from the clearing where his father had raised him. Still... He was worried that when Threnah came across it, she may be a bit underwhelmed at the sight of his home.
To keep his worries away, he answered her earlier question, though he didn't go into very much detail. If anything, he could be considered blunt in his reply, "My father raised me in this forest. I would never leave it without good cause." He paused, not wanting to seem unfriendly, and added, "It has been a constant presence in my life. While other Soquili come and go, I take peace with the steady life of the forest." He said to her as they walked.

"Im not opposed to such an idea, after all I do trust you Tenzin. You are a bit large, but your gentle, a gentle giant." She said laughing as she spoke. She started to follow Tenzin towards his home and looked interested as they came closer. She didn't expect anything fancy, so seeing a simple place made her smile. It suited him and his nature. When she heard why he lived there and not with others she sort of felt bad that she had brought it up. "Oh, I apologize, I didn't think there was such a good reason for you to want to remain here." She wanted to be a friend for this lonely stallion, and she had to think that her maternal instincts kicked in.
