Personality: Being the daughter of the current Death Scythe and his former Meister, Maka has high expectations of herself. The blonde teenager also happens to be bright, cheerful, direct and confident, smart and hard working in stark contrast to her partner Soul. She can also be very thoughtful, kind and compassionate, particularly towards Crona since she empathizes with Crona's loneliness. Maka is very enthusiastic, but not as much as Black Star, but that enthusiasm takes her too far and she can be sometimes bossy at times. However, over time, she can admit to her mistakes and is not too proud to apologize. Maka is a very kind and caring person towards her friends, and willing to help them, even if they don't happen to be a friend of hers. She will not hesitate to do anything for her friends but she will also not hesitate to put them in line if the doing something inappropriate. The blonde has shown to value her friends' safety, often putting their safety in front of her own. The teenager is also unwilling to use Soul as a shield to protect herself. Although Maka is always kind hearted, mature and level headed, in the begin you could always see her having temper problems. She shows quick irritation at others when they do something wrong or do something to annoy her, usually punishing them with her famous "Maka Chop" technique.
History: In the very beginning Maka was born to a Meister as well as Spirit, who happened to be a Death Scythe. As the blonde grew she was beginning to have dreams to become a Meister, like her mother. And in order to become a Meister she needed to have a partner, or a weapon to be exact. One day she met Soul, who was playing the piano. The Deamon Weapon played a creepy and dark song on the instrument for her, stating that the song was what he was. Maka, however, liked his song and felt that he was an interesting person to get to know and was also the first boy she could trust, since her father, Spirit, betrayed her. The two of them agreed to become partners and have been a talented Weapon and Meister team since then. Though their friendship is strained at times due to their different personalities, Maka has overall grown to trust and respect men more through her friendship with Soul.

Witch Hunter: Witch Hunter is a traditional Soul Resonance attack used by scythe Meister. The move turns the head of the scythe into a crescent moon shape. Normally the Witch Hunter is used to send a singles wave attack along the ground towards the enemy but there are other variations of the move. The Witch Hunter has a purifying effect to it, this aspect of the attack makes it an effective move to use even against immortal opponents.
Majin Hunter: Magin Hunter is a special Soul Resonance attack which Maka's mother Kami was renowned for and later which Maka inherited from her. The Majin Hunter is an improvement on the Witch Hunter scythe attack. In place of the Witch Hunters purifying effect the Majin Hunter carries an "Demon-Repelling Wavelength" that erases evil. As the Witch Hunter is capable of harming an immortal, it is implied that the Majin Hunter is strong enough to kill one.
Kishin Hunter: Is a Soul Resonance technique in the Witch Hunter series of scythe resonance attacks. It is possibly the most powerful form a scythe-weapon can assume. This technique has been used by both Death paired with Death Scythe and Maka paired with Soul. It is unknown what the attacks capabilities are but it can be assumed it is effective in killing immortals like Kishin Asura.
