Perhaps that interview earlier tonight had jostled Megrez's senses somehow, but she was off her game (not that her "game" was consistent at this point). There had been at least one Chaos aura somewhere in the distance, but they were positioned in a way that made them sort of blur together, which made pinpointing their location that much more difficult. She had issued a demand that the sources step out and face her, and when they did, it was from above. Two female lieutenants jumped down from the rooftops, nearly flattening the senshi; they had missed her by mere inches. One wielded a hair dryer, and the other one had a butterfly net. Long story short, Megrez was in an awkward situation; swiping at one lieutenant would make the other one swing at her, and it was about to turn into a ridiculous tennis match unless she came up with something to turn the tables quickly. She thought she felt someone else approach, but she was too occupied to concentrate any further and identify anything about a possible aura. If she could get these two girls in reach and bonk their heads together, maybe that would help...

The easiest way to distract an enemy he'd found, was to pose something in a way that was not usual and yet utterly normal. In the case of two lieutenants going after another senshi, he chose the route of whistling 'amazing grace'. An out of place action and song, yet a human action to whistle like it was simply a stroll he was taking. One of them looked up while the other hesitated. It was all the opening needed for him to jump down, kicking on the hairdryer's shoulder, a sickening pop signaling that he'd done something. As she howled in pain, Pollux smiled. "Megrez if I recall? Did you want some help?" He didn't stop to look at the women, rather, he focused on her.

That whistling was definitely a confusing cue. Who would be walking by the scene, just whistling like nothing was even happening? Furthermore, why was the whistling coming from above? When Megrez saw the senshi make his debut by jumping right on top of one of the lieutenants, it made a bit more sense to her... and then, when she remembered who the senshi was, it made even more sense. And Castor had chided her for singing to draw things out of the shadows. "Pollux?" she said, then added a simple "Yes!" in response to his question. Getting right back into the action, she blocked a swing from the butterfly net girl with her arm and aimed a low kick towards the hairdryer girl to try and knock her of her feet. Her aim was true, but not quite true enough; she had unsteadied hairdryer girl, but not quite knocked her down. Nonetheless, she was definitely reeling from Pollux's kick to her shoulder. Megrez's kick might have been a little overkill at this point.

"You!" The one with the net pointed at Pollux, who seemed unimpressed. "You'll pay for that!" She charged at him while her ally was prone. To him, it was cute their poor attempts to now defend themselves. "Aim for vitals or points of weakness." He met the woman head on. One hand grabbing her wrist with the net, the other grabbing her face, using the momentum of her charge against her, slamming the woman against the wall. "Freezing Storm." His words were nothing grand called out- yet quickly a sheet of ice covered the woman's face and she screamed as he pulled his hand away, thumb and palm covered in frozen blood. THe woman fell down, clutching her face. "In this case, I focus on freezing her eyes- the water in them turns to shards, tearing up her vision and blinding her." The woman remained screaming as blood ran down her face. "I saw you had fire in you- so why not finish the other? Before she gets away of course." It was true, the hair dryer girl was getting up, granted, shaken, but looking ready to run. "I'd like to see if my brother's hopes for you were not misplaced."

Megrez's eyes went wide. He just froze her eyes. Froze her eyes. That's downright brutal. She didn't have time to fully mull over the ramifications of Pollux's act, for he issued a challenge to her: 'I'd like to see if my brother's hopes for you were not misplaced.' It struck the right chord with Megrez. She did not want to disappoint. She had vowed to take action from now on, to waste no further opportunities, to "get started" as she had told Castor in that text. Cupping her hands, she conjured one of her Super-level ostrich eggs and slowly walked towards the hairdryer girl. Near paralyzed with fear, she girl backed up, but she did not expect Megrez to charge towards her with a war cry. She tackled the lieutenant to the ground and brought the heavy egg down on her head with as much force as she could muster. When some of the egg goop ran off, the lieutenant was completely unresponsive, vacant eyes wide open. Whether she was unconscious or truly dead, Megrez couldn't tell at this point. She cast a glance towards Pollux, then towards the blinded lieutenant, now shrieking in mind-annihilating terror and agony. Would he handle her, or would he make her take care of that one, too?

Brutal was hardly the beginnings of what Pollux was. As he watched Megrez, he had been hoping for a bit more blood. He knew it was 'eggs' but still, a bit more oomph wouldn't have hurt. Yet she'd taken his challenge and delivered. It was good enough. Could be better but good enough. "The battle isn't over until you know they are dead." His words were spoken to open air, though his gaze had shifted to the screaming woman. She'd get attention if he let her go on like this. "You need to silence them, and make sure they're dead. That can mean watching their bodies return to human, or-" The blind woman seemed to know he was coming, because she'd begun to scramble to get away from him. Her blind fumbling crawl to escape was painfully pathetic to him. Like a fish gasping for air in a fisherman's net. She was going to die. "-Take a more direct confirmation." His hand was quick, grabbing the officer's uniform to pull her back, shoving into a wall once more, though this time with his hands around her neck. "They pass out first. So you keep holding, or you crush their windpipe. You use all the force you can. Or you prolong it if you like, breaking other parts of them- Personally I find it a waste of time. Not to mention messy." Yet his hands were dark red, the woman's eyes still raw gaping wounds. "Crush the other one's skull Megrez. Crush it, or risk her surviving and returning a youma." The woman in his grip had stopped screaming, and all she could still do was weakly trash against him and his grip on her throat.

Pollux seemed to have a curious detachment in the way he described finishing off opponents. It sounded almost like he was reciting a tutorial or teaching a class. Megrez would be a good student. The fate of these women had been sealed from the moment they had the misfortune to encounter two of Order's most devout senshi. (Devout? Dogmatic? It was a fine line.) She had received instructions to crush this lieutenant's skull. That might not be entirely possible; though her super-level eggs were big and heavy enough to knock a person out (as one had just done), they probably couldn't crack a skull. Nonetheless, Megrez could carry out a different instruction from Pollux. Just as she had done to the captain earlier, just as she had seen Penthesilea do so long ago, she brought her heel down on the lieutenant's neck at full force, leaning with all her weight. Sure enough, she heard a distinct snap-crunch of something breaking. That had to be it. That had to be the coup de grace. Another potential threat had been eliminated, saving lives. Silently, she looked to Pollux yet again for confirmation of some sort. A shudder ran through her, completely involuntary. She hoped that Pollux hadn't seen that.

Less mess, directly applying a death blow with minimal effort. She was getting it. "Pass." The woman in his grip had stopped thrashing, and slowly, he could feel her pulse weaken. "Strangulation takes time, and unfortunately, often you won't have this luxury. Its long, and somewhat cruel, as they might survive... damaged." He let the woman fall into a crumpled heap, something remorseful filling his gaze before he grabbed her neck and a snap echoed into the air. "Incapacitate. Kill. We might be killers, we might be soldiers, but we should do no more harm than needed ultimately. Her eyes will be what hinders, choking be what stops, snapping her neck what kills. Be aware, no matter how you kill, you will be called a monster, a murderer. You will carry that stain." He looked at her. "I told you to stain your hands, yet ultimately, the choice was your own." He stared and motioned to the woman she'd killed. "Can you accept that? You can still walk away. I am the known killer, it wouldn't be hard to paint me the one who slew them both this night, doing what you did not desire." He wanted a final confirmation. "Can you stain your hands with the blood that will be spilled?"

Megrez listened and nodded gravely. "I already carry that stain," she said flatly, the words nearly catching in her throat. "I've already killed two. This is my third. Maybe circumstances could have explained the first, but the second was completely my choice, as was this one." Then she shook her head. "It's too late for me to walk away. I'm not going to make anything up or pin things on you that didn't happen. We've done what we've done." It never even occurred to Megrez to tell others that Pollux had killed both of them. She had definitely killed one; why would she lie about that? It had happened, and she was going to tell it like it was, except to those who shouldn't be hearing about it at all or had nothing but rebukes in store.

He smiled. It was hollow, distant, the worn gaze of someone who's resigned themselves to what surrounded them. For Pollux, that would be death. "You're a good person Megrez. Perhaps a murderer, but if things had been different, you'd be free of this fate." He sighed, looking down at the bodies. "I'll dispose of them well enough. Go home. Recover. Always take time to recover after you kill. No matter what they call us, we are soldiers in a war. That makes us no more a monster than the shadows at night." He motioned her to move. "Go- they'll show soon to take the bodies if they can. The less evidence we leave behind the better. That includes energy scents."

Some part of Megrez felt tickled by being called a good person, but the other part felt that she didn't deserve it. "Okay," she said softly. "I'm going." She took one last look at Pollux. "Once again, thanks for the help. See you around." With that, she fled the scene, hoping that no one would be able to trace what had happened to her.
