After a bit of an absence, it seemed as if X was back out and about. Where he had disappeared to was a pretty good question, but the male audio didn't seem particularly interested on answering any such inquiries. Whatever the case, he was back to trying to keep himself out of trouble in The City.
Which, to be fair, wasn't too difficult of a task. He helped others where he could, but otherwise kept to himself--quiet, but not exactly brooding.
So almost like Proto, but not, X thought to himself, the corner of his mouth twitching upwards in amusement. Of course, after his previous encounter with his "older brother", the male couldn't say that the other's brooding tendencies were unfounded, but it still brought a hint of a smile to his face.
And now that Proto was on the brain, X couldn't help but wonder how he was doing. Things had been pretty rough, he knew, and while he had heard things--rumours, really--about the other bot, he actually hadn't seen him for a long while now. While it wasn't something he would want to voice aloud, X wasn't afraid to admit to himself that he was a little worried about the other's welfare. After all, he was family...even if the exact title for their relationship (brothers? ...brothers-by-cloning?) was a little ambiguous.Demy-Stardust I AM ASSUMING that he was Proto (at the point where X met him) --> became Blues upon receiving the upgrade? :'DD Or was he always supposed to be Blues and you just did the name swap once he upgraded? If the latter case, just replace all mentions of Proto = Blue. >__>b

By some stroke of luck (or irony?) the brother currently on his mind wasn't that far away. The red bot had escaped the Tower for the day, wandering the streets of the City. He didn't need to disguise himself as often as he did before, so he'd be easily recognizable once X did catch sight of him. You know, even with the blue fur. And the bright fluttering wings... That he seemed to be swatting a paw at as they batted around him. Due to being... preoccupied with his wings, Blues hadn't spotted the other just yet. He kept a steady course, walking down the street opposite to where X now stood. Kaiyumi You're good! He has always been both <3 Light named him Blues, but when he went off to be the General he changed his name to Proto because Blues was supposed to be the Hope of the City and..he sort of hated them :B He still sort of hates them, but he went back to his old name. Answers to both though.

Speak of the devil.
Upon turning and spotting the other bot, X immediately recognized that outfit and the shades that the other Audio was sporting...but everything else was uh, quite different from the Proto that he had known. It wasn't just the sudden change in fur color that startled him, but rather--
"Are those wings?"
He blurted out the question before he could stop himself, absolutely astonished to find that Proto had somehow obtained wings in his absence...and such delicate looking ones as well. He wasn't sure whether to chuckle or to stare, but in either case, he did find some amusement in the fact that Proto had been in the midst of batting at them when he had spotted him.
Clearing his throat, X folded his arms across his chest. "Looks like I've missed a lot." Demy-Stardust Ahh, gotcha! *u* <33 Thank you!!

Blues could hardly stop the eyeroll, thankfully it was hidden behind his glasses anyway. It looked like for the millionth damn time he was going to have to explain what had happened to him to some curious Citizen. But when he turned to give the quickest explanation he could, it wasn't some random Audio he found. Oh no, he knew this one...and hadn't seen him around in quite some time. "Missed a lot? More like missed everything. What hole did you drag yourself back out of brother?"He had composed himself. ...Mostly. Just one final swat at the wings before he took on his typical indifferent stance. "...For the record, yes they -are- wings."

The corners of his mouth twitched as he struggled not to grin, brows lifting up and disappearing beneath the edge of his helmet as he stared at Blues. "A very deep hole, I suppose. But forget about that--it seems like you've undergone a great deal of...changes, in my absence. Your fur, for one thing." X gestured towards him, though he had to admit that the pale blue wasn't really a bad color for the other bot.
A pity that it wasn't pink, though.
"And yes...the wings. Care to fill me in on what exactly I've missed? ...Or at least, whether you personally chose such dainty wings?"
It was a brother's job to tease his siblings, right? Because that was totally what X was doing right now, and he was honestly enjoying it more than he probably should have been.

We have good old dad to thank for them, as well as the fur color."They was the hint of a sneer on his face, Blues still slightly irritated by the changes brought on unwillingly by his father. He couldn't be -too- mad though...they did save him. But until he figured out how to turn them on and off at will the wings were going to annoy the hell out of him. "As for what you missed, it really wasn't all that -much-. Just an attempt by a terrorist calling himself a hero to take over the City by destroying every Robot Master, with me as the bait. Then the massive fight to come free me. Nothing much there either. It wasn't like too many showed up...just nearly every Master, Rock, some Citizens, Forte though I am unsure of if you've even met him...oh, and dad too. In a giant mech suit even. So really it wasn't too much, don't concern yourself with catching up or anything."
