A single subject notebook, college ruled and lacking any iota of personality save for the brilliant red cover, lay perched in the corner of the library's rooftop with a small security envelope taped to its surface. The only indication toward the original owner of the envelope was the light fleck of tar scraped over its surface and managed as a sealant - spread about by an object sharp and pointed.
The notebook itself looked hardly used with no outward signs of abuse.Quote: These first few pages will make very little sense to you, Kairatos, but read them regardless - for you will familiarize yourself with my thought processes. I am no Da Vinci - these pages know no cipher, no encoding to bar entry to those not deeply known between the two of us. You are welcome, and bidden, to add your own questions along the margins, or utilize a page for yourself in writing out concerns or simple comments. My only restriction is that only you can write among these pages. Take care, Kairatos, and remember to take everything you read with a grain of salt. - Alois Scholz The first page of the notebook know what could only be described as a relentless assault via ball point pen, each letter rendered in a stark strike of lines both bold and unhesitant. Despite the commanding script, all letters sat almost obsessively within the margins, allowing for their traditional gap of space to stand as barrier to thoughts. Only two sets of two words and their respective arrows ever trespassed into margin domain, at the very top of the page - the words "write here" and their subsequent indications.Quote: NegaverseLieutenants amount to nothing more than cannon fodder - useless in mind and body Captains know little more, modeled as a more concerning force Generals stand as ostensible heads to the army yet are gambled as grunts - as pawns. The Negaverse knows only pawns. The youma, pawns. The officers, pawns. The General-Soverigns, pawns. Is Metallia the Queen or the King? If she is murdered, would it Checkmate all of Chaos in the Negaverse's strain? Or would a greater threat rear? Operations and their Known WeaknessesA dependency lingers in the simple task of energy draining and subsequent quotas Seeking and destroying senshi legitimizes them as a Threat (to whom? None of non-Chaos persuasion has ever set foot in the Rift) Pulling the wool over the eyes of the public - tiptoeing around the American military, or manipulating the livestock? Ryuthulhu writing back is not entirely necessary - this set of letters will be populated over time!

Kairatos sprawled out to read in the dim light, the disposable pen he'd nabbed from an cup holder at someone's desk and absently pocketed during the day, bobbing thoughtfully between his lips. He hadn't chewed on it, was just playing with it, though he wouldn't have been able to offer any deep Freudian thoughts on the matter. As far as he knew, he had never smoked, and didn't plan to start. It was just something to do. He could empathize with the fury with which some of the words had been written, remembering digging his own pen once into paper deeply, like he planned for it to be readable by touch instead of sight, but he didn't fully remember why. It was just another vague point of memory, another spark in a blaze of half remembered anger. He paused in the border next to "Negaverse" and added a quick side note. Quote: Talk to Hvergelmer? Had interesting observations. 'Culture of Ignorance'. Control by Controlling information.' Makes things make sense through that light. Bastards. He underlined the last word vigorously, then in a lower margin added. Quote: Showed the cell phone pics to Zirconia. Helpful but she wants more info. Told her what I could. Will get back to you. Hang in there. He shut the notebook, and picked himself up of the chair, balancing the book on the counter as he looped an charm through the spiral binding. It was a hand made cell phone charm, intended to provoke a chuckle in someone who needed a reason to laugh more than anyone else he knew. It was a simple thing, a few black beads, a plate silver feather, and a glass bauble cut in a vaguely diamond shape that glinted dark red in the light before he tucked the notebook back into it's hiding place, safe and dry.

The next page knew handwriting more practiced, less strained with the burdens of pervasive emaciation. At the top of the page was drawn a starseed, and beneath it, an energy orb. Surrounding the orb were several spires of crystal, not unlike those often spied in the Rift. A few dots stemming downward led to the thoughts he penned out for the day.Quote: Kairatos, I will answer your notes previously first. I have talked with Hvergelmir in the past, and heard her theories on Chaos influence and the necessities of knights and senshi for eternal propagation. I have heard her suspicions over the presence of Chaos in the mind and the redirects it executes to prevent proper thought. She seems to think the Negaverse fosters agents through discouraging questions and information gathering, which is true, from what I've encountered of Zinkenite's practices (as you have, as well). They also highly discourage deviation from the main beliefs threaded through the Negaverse, which gave rise to ally revulsion and resentment toward me during my tenure. As for Zirconia, there is nothing more I can offer her. If she asserts the need to examine it in person, then so be it - but she will find no further information than what she can glean through observation. With these said, I do not have good news for you. There exists a particular senshi within the Negaverse's rule that provided a unique and old perspective on the body which we all serve. Metallia is a very ancient power, stemming from the start of the war and likely further back to her knowledge. She shared with me the despicable past between the White Moon and Earth, Knights and Negaverse. I care little if it's truth or not. It did, however, provide the realization that I am loathe to repeat what was done before, in all of its glorious idiocy. The path of purification is lined with hopes, but no truths, Kairatos - as the only truths we've born witness to collectively is the failure by Iris to strip the youma from my body. As promising as it might sound to conduct further study, to arrange further tries to purify in different settings or with different members of your Courts and Knighthood, I am averse to repeating these paths endlessly, as a rabid dog looking for a final meal. Quenton urges further pursuit of these goals, but he knows I get bored quickly. Alkaid is her name - the one who relayed this information to me. Seek her out, if you wish. Perhaps if you can break her into nothingness, then Metallia will have no further agents to whisper pleasantries to my ears. I may be partially monstrous for the rest of my lifetime, Kairatos. I may be damned to this existence permanently. It is a possibility that we must all accept, and furthermore, prepare for. Try not to despair too terribly - For I am certain that I did not break your heart. - Alois Scholz

Quote: The responses in reply are sharp scrawls, the letters brisk pointed blades that carve across the boundries of the page and bite into sections where they were not intended to. [A: Talked with Thraen. Showed him photos. You're still a d**k, but not giving up if you don't. So ******** your bullshit. You know better than to buy that they have any interest in your well being. If you want to be more than a mopey tool in their box, try again. You were the first half youma to try. Of course it didn't go as planned. It's twice the mess any other purification is. We're either blazing new territory or we're not. Test limits or don't, but don't act like (here the script pauses looking for a new blank space to write in.) you're doing something noble by giving up. That's ******** stupid. My heart has nothing to do with it. I'm trying to help you not marry you. Jerk. and apparently in afterthought, perhaps some minutes later as it's slightly less viciously written: "K"
