The senshi gathering had gone as planned, and now it was a matter of waiting. The mass of energy clustered was bound to attract those seeking confrontation, energy. All it was now was a matter of waiting them out.
Both brothers were fine waiting as those who had sensed the clustered got closer, training and practicing for this. The safeguards were in place and they were not being foolish. So they told themselves.
The bodies had already become human, and while they hadn't begun to stink they had lost their 'allure'. The sight of a corpse was only pleasing to know it was your fallen foe for so long. Now they just looked like those killed by some freak accident.
Castor was just wanting to get it over and done with. Pollux was wanting to see if indeed, things would play out as intended. People could be so.. emotional after all. He just had to be careful to not let his gasp of such things slip past his fingers. This is stupid." "This is war."
"You say that again I'm going to ******** wreck the living room." "Can't be worse than how you wreck your liver with that cheap booze." "Blue moon is good stuff you ******** piss water." "Fine, be a ******** haughty a*****e. More beer for me." "You shame our Italian heritage." Castor gave Pollux a confused look. He had no idea his sibling was able to make jokes.
"Fine, if this works I'll drink some shitty wine."

Melanite didn't want to do his duty, but another corrupt senshi was shepherding him about the city tonight, evidently intent on coercing him to drain energy. Yes, but no, it wasn't going to happen. Except something great big and clustered had attracted his companion's attention, and despite his best attempts to distract the boy, nothing had taken. So off they went, passing through more and more decrepit regions of the city, Kerberos's blue hair dragging on the ground like a complete savage. When they finally passed under the last huge arc of machinery, Melanite caught sight of the bodies. He could smell the blood from far off, and feel the warning grate of his ribs as he startled back. "Ah, devoushka," he said, ignoring the senshi--because he'd learned that if you ignored hte senshi, likely they would pass you by as well--as he crossed to one of the fallen figures. He tucked a hand into her hair and lifted her head, studying the entry wounds and frowning when he saw the slow trickle of blood and gray matter. "Mm. No." She'd been dead for a while, and Melanite set her head down carefully. Her cheek was beginning to bruise, and it struck him in the same place as seeing Jana's body had. "Something in the fingers," he said, and then--ignoring his own advice--he looked up to the senshi. "I know this woman. She was a lieutenant assigned to show me my patrol route." Candidly, he continued, "I suppose you killed her."

Kerberos had insisted on investigating. Kerberos had practically hauled Melanite ot go investigate. Kerberos had been so sure they were going to bust up some Order meeting and make up for the disaster that was tonight so far (because good God Melanite was a stubborn a*****e).
As soon as they actually got into the warehouse - actually saw what was there - he immediately regretted every decision he had made, particularly whatever idiotic impulse carried him close enough to step into the pool of blood around the corpses to confirm what was obious - that they were very definitely, very brutally dead.
His feet were bare, and his hair, as a corrupt, was floor-length - he could feel blood between his toes and gathering in the ends of his hair and he wanted, right then, to vomit. Especially knowing that these dead were likely officers.
He felt strangely emboldened to take on the two Senshi in front of him - a Super and an Eternal, probably not much of an issue with his magic.
"What the ******** is wrong with you." He said, instead of throwing a fist or a spell like he wanted to. "******** hell, if I needed any more proof that your side was full of monsters, there it is."

Anger fueled attacks were easy to read. They were predictable. Lashing out in blind action left you exposed, if not in body then in mind. Both brothers couldn't help smile as the first arrived to their little welcome home 'celebration'. "I think he wants to fight us?" Pollux asked, calm despite knowing he was not as strong as he could have been to handle things if they got nasty. "Possible. Most rabid dogs fight anything they see. Rabid dogs at best put down-" Ice blue eyes moved to the agent while Castor kept himself close to the corrupted one. "Tell me officer, could you leash your b***h? We were intending to have a discussion, not some pointless fight over who the real monsters are." Pollux spoke as calmly as he could, though his fists remained closed.

"Discussions could use with a little less name calling and a little more tact." The voice was abrupt, but as the blond dreadhead stepped from the darkness, it should have been no surprise. Most would have known that she was on the way - or felt her, even if they had no idea who she personally might be.
Alkaid pursed her lips as she advanced from the back to stand near her comrades. Her eyes drifted slowly from the brothers, to the bodies they had so proudly accumulated, and the blood they had drenched every inch of the grimy room with. Her heels lacked the usual click, dampened into a sickening, wet grate with every step. When she came to a halt at the corrupt's side, her shimmering cloak rested at her feet, already stained crimson along the edges. One pale, cracked hand settled onto his shoulder and squeezed - it was gentle, but a warning.
Those bright orange eyes were for Castor alone, she knew he was not a man to be toyed with. The power of an eternal was so misleading.
"Is this your declaration, old friend?" She paused then, recalling a battlefield frozen over. "Or were you just recreating a familiar scene?"

Melanite recognized none of the other bodies, just the one. "Are they all lieutenants," he asked, but--things were going on, and he obligingly turned his attention to his patrol partner as he shouted. Was Kerberos blind as well as dumb? Of course the senshi were monsters. They fought with young teenagers, children, while the Negaverse, at least elsewhere, stuck to adults. Melanite pillowed his chin on his bloody hand--he'd doubtless feel sick later, but right now, he felt fine. There was nothing in him, not even a quiver in his stomach, for such scenes. "Kerberos is not my dog," he said. "Rather more, unfortunately, I am his. I do not believe there is any question who the 'real monsters' are, but please. What is the topic at hand?" He knew not to ******** with senshi. He really did. What could he say, he--there was something enormous, anomalous, approaching at the edges of his mind. And then she was before his eyes, a terrible vision of cracked porcelain and empty doll eyes. " Pizdáty," he said. What was she? She was beautiful and horrifying. He wanted to paint her more than he'd wanted to paint anyone in a very long time.

"I'm nobody's b***h," Kerberos snarled, and perhaps that particular insult struck a little closer to home than the Senshi could possibly have known but regardless, he was halfway into motion to attack when a hand rested on his shoulder and he practically automatically stilled, because there was no arguing with the cracked, eerily beautiful woman who had put her hand on his shoulder.
She felt like nothing he had ever sensed before - Senshi and officer, all at once, and yet at the same time neither. He was awed into silence by her very presence, and while he didn't speak Russian, he could agree with the underlying tone he got from Melanite's exclamation.
For the moment, he instead seethed in place, fists curled so tightly that his nails were beginning to draw little red crescents on the inside of his palm.

If they were looking to get someone emotional, and enraged, that would fail here with the ashen blond General. The sound of his footsteps gave and his aura preceded his actual appearance as he rounded the corner. His nose wrinkled as the smell of blood hit his senses. "Well, that explains the scent of death." Came the calmly made statement. Slate hued eyes glanced about at those gathered before finally landing on the bodies before they moved back to the two senshi. "officers - I assume?" He questioned as he came to stand beside what looked like some form of walking broken doll, he had no idea just what she was, but she felt the similar to himself.
He wanted to let his emotions bubble forth and lash out but he knew better. He had done it before, on occasion, but he knew that right now was not the time nor the place. First was to find out what had happened, or better yet why. "Do tell, what happened here." No question, he was stating what he wanted - knowledge. The blue haired corrupted was ignored, for the moment, as he focused his attention between the two white moon senshi and the bodies on the ground. Were they all lieutenants? Had these senshi, of this rank, sunken to taking out the lowest and weakest of their ranks? How...pathetic if that was true. Shifting his weight he tilted his head a bit and finally took the time to look over those on his own side that he was with.
"Let us not act without thought. As much as it would please you all, as it might myself, I'd like to know why they've felt the need to kill a few of ours and remain here for us to find. It's not something most would do so to do it means there is a reason - that they want us here for a purpose. I'd also like to know why these officers were killed." And to claim the bodies if he could. they did deserve to be returned home, somehow, so their families could bury them. Oh how he wished he didn't seek answers so he could just summon his weapon and lash out; but he wanted answers! He needed answers.

Castor was easily distracted when it came or women, but certain women? They got his attention for more than the reason of physical attraction. "Alkaid." His voice was pleasant, his smile that one that promised all the death she could hope for. "My declaration indeed. However if I knew you were coming, I'd have left one aside as a gift to you. Lets not talk of the past sweet stripes, but rather-"
"Let us talk of the future." Pollux finished, eyes flicking towards the nega who'd come with the corrupt. He motioned to the bodies. "A small fraction of retribution, though a little over a thousand years late. We thought it would serve a good way to tell you what we, that is Castor and myself, intend to start."
Castor was fixed on Alkaid, all others forgotten. He wanted to fight her, to test his powers against her own. He wanted to kill her, and free her from the nightmare of a life she was now trapped within. Noticing this, Pollux moved towards his brother, a touch to his spine removing the focus from the former ally.
"Tell us agents of Chaos- what do you know of senshi history?"

Melanite rolled his eyes. Really? This again? "You are ancient guardians of worlds beyond Earth," he recited, rising from his crouch to rest that bloody hand on his hip. If he were worried about the doorman seeing him with blood all over his face and hand, he didn't show it. "A thousand years ago, you and people like you ruled the galaxy from end to end, and it was a time of peace known as the Silver Millennium. Except the Prince of Earth could not keep his d**k under control, and he decided to ******** the Princess of the Moon instead of his betrothed. The betrothed, Queen Beryl, was rightfully enraged, and staged a rebellion, which somehow led to the end of the entire galaxy's civilization, save for Earth." He looked over to Kerberos and the beautiful woman, the rambling General, and then back to Pollux and Castor. "You corrupt young children with stories of fantasy, and then leave them to die with your hell-cats. My sister was one of you and that cat left her to die. I need to know nothing else."

Kerberos jerked his head towards Melanite, and for a moment some of his aggression disappeared to be replaced by sheer surprise. He was pretty sure that was the most the Lieutenant had spoken all night (and, additionally, the juxtaposition of his perception of Melanite as sort of a classy dude and the phrase "could not keep his d**k under control" would ordinarily have had the Corrupt laughing himself breathless, but well, in front of the enemy, standing over murdered bodies, time and place.)
And Melanite mentioned a sister, abandoned and left to die by Order, and the anger came back, and this time, when he dug his nails into his hand, Kerberos actually managed to make himself bleed.
"Do you want to know the sum total of Order's history that I give a single, solitary flying ******** about? The part where in December of last year, you ******** left my sister to die. And whatever happened to her was so ******** horrible, there wasn't even a body to recover. I care that my parents still don't know what happened, and they keep hoping that someday she'll come home - but that can't happen. Because of people like you, who saved their own asses instead of hers!"

A tilt of his head and a twisted sort of slight smile graced the Generals lips. Short, only a few inches over five foot, he looked smaller in his layers of long and heavy fabric and yet he seemed at ease with those around and the words being spoken. He was keeping himself as calm as he could, inside though he wished for little more than to spill the two white moon senshi's blood before making off with the bodies of those fallen, he would find their homes in the records they kept then. But he couldn't attack, not now, as he was sure there was more to this. There had to be. Senshi weren't all stupid, though a good number of them were, not when they came off as confident as they did.
Looking from the Lieutenant to the corrupted senshi he nodded his head a bit. "Order is far from good and pure - despite what they claim. They'll kidnap our own and torture them, kill them, and leave their own behind. It seems members of order lack honor just as much as they claim we do." He stated in a low, soft, voice as he watched the two senshi who had set up this little meeting. "I wonder why you two all but summoned us here. Your auras were just as good as any summons after all." And he didn't trust them one bit.
He would, when this was over, perhaps speak to both corrupted and lieutenant and give his condolences and some other words that would further ensure their loyalty. For now though he would refrain from such.

Rather than feeling sorrow for Kerberos's dead sister, there was a momentary curiosity, and he looked over at the blue-haired senshi with renewed interest in his eyes. Had he known they shared such a formative experience, he might have cared more for Kerberos's attempts to start a conversation on their patrol route. Perhaps. He didn't know. But his attention was directed to the General again, and Melanite didn't even try to cover his sneer. "Who cares what they do to us? And it is rich for us to talk about honor. It was not a senshi who killed my sister. It was one of our own." They had left Jana on the floor of his apartment for a night, until her skin had begun to purple. Then they had taken the body away, likely rolled up in the rug, and, perhaps, thrown her into the river--or into the maw of a waiting youma. "We are not an army, we are a mafiya." Melanite sighed. How did one make it to General rank without the slightest ounce of self-knowledge? "Do you say anything that means anything, or are words meat-sounds without meaning to you? Your points have already been made, and better, by Kerberos and I."

Alkaid's attention was torn away from Castor as the lieutenant expressed himself in a language she was entirely unfamiliar with, but with a tone that she could understand loud and clear. The awe surprised her, as did the corrupt's stunned silence, and she dipped her head in quiet appreciation of their wonder. They were noted, even if she had no idea who they were. She would make sure to rectify that soon. Castor's sweet fixation was not a surprise to her, though. Her hand slipped from Kerberos' shoulder and her attention reverted to the prince-in-disguise, letting the others talk around her as she held his gaze with her own calm smile. She marked the way Pollux guided his brother through his emotions, the lieutenant's knowledge, the corrupt's anger, and the flippant way the other General dismissed what she perceived as a very serious situation. Alkaid did not have to struggle to keep her emotions in check, as there were few that she ever felt, which left her mind free to assess this scene and the actors in this morbid play. "What clever new blood we have," though despite her pride in his knowledge, her voice was not kind now as her eyes shifted to the new lieutenant that had been so awed at her presence, "but you would do well to remember who your superiors are. Hold your tongue before it is cut out for flapping too loosely." Her face settled into a stony composure, all kindness forgotten. The way her eyes watched him, like a hawk sizing up prey, made it clear that she meant to get to know him better by the end of this night. When she looked back at the brothers standing proud before their collection, her face smoothed and her stoniness subsided in favor of her typical mimicry of human pleasantries. She took a slow step forward to put herself a little closer than the corrupt at her side, a subtle way to ensure she could stop him without ordering him to fall back if his emotions overwhelmed him in the end. Her face again bore a small smile, directed at the men that had just slaughtered dozens of fresh soldiers, as if she had not just pulled rank with an outspoken subordinate. "That's the story I know, albeit with a bit more flavor than I am accustomed to. Though he did omit the part where you're all here, again, to claim something that doesn't belong to you. Earth is her domain." Her hands folded behind her, nestled just above the double wings at the small of her back. "Yet I don't think these two senshi are here to talk about honor or loyalty, they aren't even interested in saving earth like most of those blathering fools claim." Her eyes narrowed a little on Pollux, then swung toward his less collected counterpart. She had the advantage to know him and his intentions better than any other chaos agent in this room. She had been waiting for this day ever since her trip to his icy home land. "This is just about war, and revenge, is it not? So please, do tell me what message we are supposed to carry back for you. I don't have patience for riddles these days."

It was a shift in the way Pollux looked at the woman who'd captivated his brother's attention. Castor had a thing against fighting females on e basis until they proved a threat too large to ignore. Yet now the senshi of Frost smiled as Alkaid and his brother remained in their own way, poised to strike. Like two predators waiting for the other to show an opening, yet unwilling to fight if it would prove pointless.
However, his brother was currently fighting back mild laughter. "I told you they'd get it wrong." he said, hand grasping Pollux's shoulder. "Told you they'd mistake us. That's one bottle of the wine in your cellar- Make it that 76 Red." Pollux's eye twitched as he brushed Castor's hand from his person. "You are half right on various fronts. Guardians many senshi were. Rulers, prisoners. Each world had it's own laws and ways of dealing with it's senshi. As earth once did." He gave a pointed look to Castor, prompting the royal to shut his mouth before words spilled out. "Yet it a farce to call the silver Millennium a time of peace. Can you truly think that millions of worlds and cultures would bow before a single monarch?" He let them think for a moment before continuing. "Castor and Pollux were their own empire. Our so called peace with the white moon was nothing more than a trade agreement and an understanding. We did not seek to expand into their allies, and they would not hinder us in our conquests. This meant we had nothing to do with your earth. To be honest-" "It was only Mercury who held our chains so to speak. She was the one who actually bothered to negotiate. Plus she had the most delicious-" "Focus brother." Pollux even snapped his fingers, Castor's glare zooming to his sibling.
"But indeed, Our empire was bound to Mercury alone, and by extension white moon. While earth's prince and the moon's princess were busy being utter selfish idiots my own brother here was busy seeking the hand of a Mercurian Knight. The one you might know as Lina- Linarite." Castor stiffed at that name, visibly not wanting the conversation to focus on him.
"She and he fell in love and wed. Personally I thought she was b***h. Still is. That aside she became my brother's Knight-Consort. Now, at this time your queen was busy killing over being spurned and losing her chance at the throne." He held a hand up. "If you remove the romance aspect, I would hope you are smart enough to realize what Beryl did was nothing more than usurp the throne. Her feelings as an excuse make a poor ruler. If we want to get extremely on point- The prince was well within his rights to dissolve the betrothal at any point. Politics should be treated as politics, and recognized for what they are. From the view of one ruling party to another. Beryl simply used her position to garner support for what she wanted in the first place- Earth's throne. Yet once on that throne she needed to maintain momentum. If the people focused on her, what questions might rise to challenge a new ruler? She had to keep control of what was now her kingdom. And what better way to divert such attention then to attack those who had unknowingly, opened themselves to target?"
"Lina was born on earth. She was Terrian before she was Mercurian. Before she was Castorian. That single tie to her, the tie of her birthplace, was a way in which I could be accused of kidnapping. Coercion. I was the leader of an empire- yet another reason to see me as a threat. So thus- Invade Castor, Kill the senshi who'd stolen and kidnapped an earth woman. Destroy the empire before it destroyed them." Castor's arms were crossed, staring at the agents like they should know.
"When my brother's world was invaded by earth's forces it wasn't alone. Other forces of Chaos came with. Castor is attacked, and Pollux shall respond in kind. Yet how can you kill an enemy who would turn your own forces into mindless puppets? Who would consume their energy. Eventually, we fell. It was not us that made the initial aggression, it was Earth. Pointedly, your queen and Chaos."
"You're smart however to call us of Order and not white moon." Pollux's smile was borderline friendly. "We kidnap, torture, kill- Just as any fighter in a war will do. Both sides could paint the other black as they like, evil as they like. But good and evil are terms used only to justify actions against the enemy. Honor however, is best left to the individual. Yet another point, your forces seem to think that all senshi or knights all allies. That we all must fall into the same category. As a fair warning, treat each enemy as an individual. My brother and I might be ruthless, but even we have lines that we shall not cross. Such as killing those who are not involved in our war." His gaze drifted to the corrupt blue haired senshi.
"For that, you have our sympathies."
Castor had been growing increasingly bored with his brother's talking. "Oh Alkaid, didn't you tell them? They can have earth." He motioned to the others gathered. "I, we, frankly don't give a damn what will happen to this corrupt rock. I want revenge. I want to slaughter your forces as you did mine a thousand years ago."
"Tell them brother. Tell them so I can start it all." Pollux rolled his eyes. "And now you have a history lesson as well as our reason to kill. Your people killed ours- now we will return the favor. Innocents will be spared, yet those who side with you, who aid you? They shall be our enemies. They will be our targets and we will not hesitate to treat them as such."
"The Dioskouri declare war on Earth. Ready yourselves agents of Chaos. We will show you the mercy you showed us a thousand years ago." The duo darted to the bodies, reaching down quickly to grab the corpses as the brothers grabbed each other. "None."
A crack of energy and cold, they had vanished, the bodies of the dead taken with them. At that was left behind was blood and ice.
Blood, and ice, and war.
