I've always loved cosplaying outside of conventions. My friends and I get together to do photoshoots and hang around in cosplay. It's tons of fun!!! We always get annoyed with the amount of trash that's around, though.
This summer my cosplay group (Wil-o'-th'-Wisp Cosplay) started initiating Cosplay Clean Ups, where we meet up at a site and pick up trash in cosplay. It's been great! We get a lot of trash (we're at a rolling 95lbs right now) and our cosplays really bring an awareness to what we're doing and why. We've gotten some good reception to it.
We usually post about it on our DeviantArt page, and we've inspired other cosplay groups in New York and the East Coast to initiate their own Cosplay Clean Ups!
I'm super stoked about it and wanted to share it with the rest of you!!!!
