The world was going to hell.
The Negaverse was more powerful than ever, and had their fingers dipped in more pies than Anella imagined even possible. There probably wasn't a place on Earth that didn't know how bad they'd gotten.
Or how 'good', depending on which side of the fence you were on.
Anella wasn't sure which side of the fence she should be on. Mostly because she just watched. Fighting…
She was a fighter, but how did you fight an army?
Maybe if she'd been more proactive years ago, it would have meant something. But now? She had a life. She had a girlfriend she loved, and people who relied on her. Powering up and running around as some magical girl just wasn't worth the danger.
And even if the Negaverse was bad—even if she knew the energy draining was bad…
Crime had dropped. Jobs were aplenty. People were taken care of. They might have just been energy cattle for the Negaverse, but at least they were taken care of.
…And that was better than dead, at least.
But, today was a nice, sunny, warm day—and even if there were Negas all around, Anella wasn't supposed to be thinking about them. She was supposed to be enjoying lunch—and Good God, it was a beautiful lunch.
She had splurged and had quite the meal, very well aware that her eyes may have been larger than her stomach, but it didn't matter because it all smelled so good. Anella had intended to find a nice spot on a nearby hill and eat, but it was too heavy a bag and she instead planted herself at one of the nearby picnic tables—and spread out.

The world according to everyone was a better place now. Well if you chose to see it that way anyway. Madame despite being on the side of evil finds that life has gotten quite boring... after all orderly chaos is quite silly when you think about it. But even Madame felt like pretending that nothing was wrong with the world they lived in now. So Madame decided to take some time off in the park. It was then she spotted a girl sitting by herself at a picnic table and decided well there was no point in being alone. So she walked over to the other woman's table and decided to start a small chat. "My my that is a lot of food you have there..." Madame chuckled slightly. "I happen to be alone today, so if you don't mind I would love to share the table with you." Kyuseisha no Hikari That is quite alright I've been really busy anyway.

Anella, in that moment, looked both delighted and embarrassed that she had been approached. On one hand, she loved running her mouth. On the other hand, someone had seen her with that ungodly amount of food and now Anella had to figure out if she should make up some hasty lie or shove as much food as she could fit into her mouth at once.
Instead, she laughed--both at herself and the situation. She gestured towards the seat and said, "Please, make yourself at home! I mean, help yourself if you want to! I'll gain, I don't know, like twenty pounds if I try to eat this all myself!"
And she would try.
But, you shouldn't share a meal with a total stranger, so she said quickly, "Oh, I'm Anella! It's nice to meet you! You having a good day?"

Madam gave a cat like grin at the other woman's antics and sat facing her. "Pleased to meet you Anella my name is Madame Mole... But please just call me Madame if you like." She chuckled slightly and kept smiling at Anella. "As for how my day is going... well if you can't complain then I must be having a good one right? Also if you don't mind then I would love to help you eat your food." She reached over and started to eat one of the sandwich sides all delicate and lady-like. “I don’t think someone like you has to worry about gaining weight though. You look like someone who could lose weight pretty easily. I, however, have to be careful of what I eat. My stomach gets pudgy quite easily.”

"Aw," Anella said, but couldn't help but laugh. "My dad says he passed on his metabolism to me, but he made sure I knew to enjoy it able I can. When he hit forty, bam! It's all gone. So," she grinned and took a large bite.
As opposed to Madame's ladylike mannerisms, Anella seemed to be a bit lacking; mouth half full and with the food shoved off to one side, she continued, "I'm going to eat all I can, while I can."
She chewed the rest of her food and flashed a quick grin. "Madame, though, that's a fancy name. Where are you from?"

“Fancy?” Madame was confused for a second and then smirked. “Thank you for the compliment but actually Madame is the stage name I came up with.” After she finished what she first picked up she didn’t reach for anything else. Instead, she decided to start playing with her hair for a few seconds in deep thought before deciding to continue what she was talking about before.
“I don’t go by my original name anymore, as for where I am from… well, I’ve lived here in the city for a while now. When I was younger, though, my parents had one of those jobs where we moved around a lot.” Madame continued to like she was in deep thought as she started to twirl her hair on her finger.
“It’s kinda funny though… I hated all that traveling when I was younger. Now that traveling isn’t quite so easy anymore, I miss it."

Anella blinked and then leaned closer. "Stage name? Oh, I like that, that sounds mysterious! Do you perform? Or, I mean, what do you perform with that stage name? If you get famous, that'd mean you'd get to travel a lot, yeah? I mean," she seemed thoughtful. "Traveling would be a lot easier if the Negaverse wasn't so strict with who they let to where. I'd like to travel but...I'm afraid if I got too far then I wouldn't be able to make it back home, you know? And there are just people here that I would miss too much."
She sighed and leaned back, momentarily too sad to indulge in her meal. She stayed this way only briefly, and then, as if by doing so would dispel her grief, she shoved another bite in her mouth and chewed.

Madam smirked and started playing with the edges of her hair again. “I mostly do plays and musicals.” She puckered her lips in thought for a few seconds. “I bet you’ll be surprised to hear this but… alright, I’ll let you in on a Negaverse secret. Pretty much everyone in the entertainment business is working for the Negaverse knowingly or not. Though, I think this is common knowledge if people put two and two together.”
“Anyway to get the clearance to travel as a celebrity... I believe if I remember correctly only Negaverse endorsed ones are allowed to leave because, usually, they are really high ranking members…” Madam stopped playing with her hair and narrowed her eyes. “These high travel laws are mostly to weed out the senshi… I think it’s stupid though hunting down the even the ones that have chosen to give up fighting… they’ll ruin their public image that way.”
“Honestly, I’ll probably be disposed of myself one of these days… I've just got way to many opinions.”

When the topic turned to the Negaverse, Anella shifted uncomfortably. She wasn't sure if she was talking to a Negaverser or just a well informed performer, but either way she figured she should be careful what she said, regardless. You never knew who you were talking to, after all.
"I guess that's true," she said pensively. "I mean, being with the Negaverse sounds like it's the best way to get around. Do you really thing they would dispose if you, though? I mean, I do not really meddle with the Negaverse. I always get afraid I'll make someone angry. Do you really think they might, ah, dispose of you...for opinions alone?"

"Oh, most definitely." Madam nodded her head in affirmation. "After all... people with opinions are the most dangerous of all." She then closed her eyes and smiled.
"Sorry, it seems I've made everything awkward." She giggled slightly.

Anella blinked and then laughed, perhaps a little too enthusiastically. "No, no," she insisted. "Awkward? Oh, as if. No, I suppose it's true, at least! If you've got a different opinion from the rest of the flock, you are definitely a target. And I would hate to see anyone as charming as you be hurt! You seem so... cool. I mean, I feel like I should be honored to even have the pleasure if eating lunch with you!"
And an entertainer--that was a nice change! "The Negaverse had better not hurt you! I need you to get super famous so I can brag about how I got to have lunch with you!"

Madam made a cat like smirk and reached over the table and started rubbing Anella's face in the palm of her hand. It was like in a grandmother doting on her grandchild. "You are absolutely precious, you know!" She kept smirking as she continued squishing Anella's face.
"I swear, if this was back in my high school days, back in the drama club, I'd stop at nothing till I recruited you!" Take it to Madam to completely change the subject out of nowhere.

Anella blinked and couldn't help but laugh; she didn't entirely know how to react to someone smushing her face, but she did it enough to others that karma seemed to finally be working its way back to her.
"Ah," she said between laughs, "Well that is sweet! Though, I don't think I've got much skill in acting! I tried drama and they kicked me out! Apparently," she said, as though spreading a dirty rumor, "I got 'too into character'."
She shrugged and huffed, as though irritated. "…And then when I wasn't getting into character I was zoning out too much, so. I was a walking accident. But, I suppose it's best I left the stage…I had a bad habit of busting sets up. On accident!" she insisted, and then clarified, "I walked into them. That was, ah, the zoning out part. I broke like six things. Big things. The same thing twice."
She was quiet for a second and then added, "I don't think drama was ever my calling. Demolition, maybe."

Madam brought her arms back to her side and smirked. "Oh trust me. You are probably way more manageable than the prima donnas I have worked with." She brought her pointer finger to her mouth. “And a little secret I’m also very unmanageable when I am the prima donna.”
“Regardless, I’m sure you and I are soul mates or at least kindred spirits… I’m sure in a different world we would be the best of friends… “Madam was then interrupted by a ringing noise that came from her purse. She ignored it for a few seconds before rummaging around in her purse before pulling out her cell phone.
“Well… seems like I’m being summoned.”

Anella blinked, disappointed, but was quick to flash a smile. "Oh, I understand! It's okay! It was lovely to meet you, I've really enjoyed our lunch! Thank you for keeping me company!"
She shoved some food towards the woman. "Please, if you want something to go, take whatever! I'm gonna sit here and pig out for the rest of the day!"
She waved quickly but was sad to see the woman go; she had really enjoyed their chat and was certainly in a better mood than she had been earlier.
