Rock was trying his hardest to stay happy. Fresh out of adolescence and forced almost immediately from his home... his family. Well, the adopted family, not really the blood family. He had forced himself from his blood kin long ago.
He had been palling around with Shiva ever since his visit to the Sacred Oak, trying to hone his skills and learn who he was and what he was capable of. Rock was extremely thankful to Shiva, because she had agreed to stay her traveling for a while to keep company with his pack, to help him on his own journey. Some days it had made him feel selfish, but the only wisps of thought and emotion coming from the spotted female had been positive.
Then everything went wrong... so very wrong. Shiva had known way before he had. It made sense, she had been doing this a lot longer than him, and was more in tune with her abilities. Though he handed it to himself, it hadn't taken him much longer to start seeing the visions... he knew what Shiva knew, now, and what they both knew was that they needed to leave.
Now his pack was scattered - though on purpose. His alphas were scouting, the betas were scouting, and he and Roll were scouting. The rest were scouting for new land to make their home, but leave it to Rock and Roll to get distracted.
They were scouting for a new friend. They had decided it was time for them to start a family, though both knew how puppies worked, and knew that there was no way the two of them could start their own family without help.
Rock suddenly felt a bit better, thinking once again about puppies, and hearing the subtle wisps of happiness on his mate's mind. He suddenly pranced sideways, gently knocking into Roll's shoulder and nipping his ear playfully. It was bittersweet to be back on a beach... so many bad memories, but some very good ones as well.
"We'll figure somethin' out dude... either we'll find a home, or we'll find a lady friend!" he promised his beloved.

Throughout the years Roll had made sure to smile more then he had ever seen either of his parents express, he made it a point to live his life to the fullest. Even as he grew the adventure never stopped, he went from finding his heart to finding a new world. Sure everything went to s**t but you can't dwell on the past as if that'll make it change, Roll preferred to live in the now.
And right now Roll was strolling with his only loved one left in hopes of starting a family. They had talked about expanding themselves through others, and of course at the time Roll was very high and figured it was a metaphor, but was happy nonetheless. With the thought of puppies brought the thought of pure joy to Roll's heart, he was never one to hold back on what he wanted. Eh, that sounds a little harsh.
Letting out a low howl Roll dumped his mate back, lapping at the other's face. Roll was never worried with Rock around, even when the terror came Roll had of course panicked but knew at once that Rock would find him. For a little while Roll had been stranded and it had confirmed in Roll's mind that there was no other place he would rather be then beside Rock.
"Or... we'll live by the seaside with a million puppies! Either way I'm sure we'll end up making a song about it." His words rolled into a tune at the end, his eyes sparkling with an adventurous tint.

Tangled beneath the sand, silver eyes stared up at the partially cloudy sky, as if lost in a daze. Anyone whom might perchance upon her thought her either silly, or dead. Though not common to just lay on backs, Aurora was beside herself, and the sand was wet and cool. The clouds drifted by slowly.
I wonder if I buried myself like this, if anyone would notice me? She thought to herself. A short giggle passed through her teeth, My blue snout would give me away. Aurora wished it was night, though, as often as her thoughts fleeting. For her, though, it was a normal day in Tolas, and it was her favorite beach spot.
The ocean's waves were very soft and cool, as the back of her head soon found out. Aurora got up quickly and shook out her coat, then walked slowly into the salty water. When the water reached her knees, she stopped. Tilting her head, she noticed fish swimming around her.
She sighed softly while briefly wondering what to do in her life, before looking up and being swept up in the shapes of the clouds.

Yipping happily, Rock let himself fall back, and for a moment, reveled in the onslaught of kisses. "A million puppies!?" he exclaimed playfully, and grinned wide as Roll's tone took on a sing songy vibe.
He took a few moments, wanting nothing more than to gaze into his beloved's eyes. Studying the deep purple face, the gorgeous silver eyes. He could lose himself in Roll's soul, pouring from those eyes. "If you want a million puppies, a million puppies you shall have, my heart." he said quietly, with a softer grin this time.
Suddenly he hopped up and shot off, circling once around Roll to make sure he would follow. His howl rang over the empty beach, mingling with the breaking waves. "Oh I feel overjoyed when you listen to my words! I see them sinking in, oh I see them crawling underneath your skin!"
Sand flew up from beneath his paws as he ran, and every so often the fluffy pink and brown male would skim close to the water, wetting his toes and spraying water up around him. The combination of cool water on his paws and the warm sun on his back sent chills down his spine. This was the life.

Roll couldn’t help but wiggle at the excitement his mate was displaying, it was like they were pups again living through the wonders of the unknown ahead of them. Responding in kind to Rock’s affection Roll shivered at the thought of a million puppies, and the way Rock said “million” A whole pack of Rock’s, and a whole league of colors that would knows the joy of their life? Sounds like an adventure Roll couldn’t pass up. His eyes trailed after his mate, before he ran head long after the pink love struck wolf. It was as if the terror wasn’t real, as if their lives hadn’t been torn apart from the ground up. Luckily Roll had never emotionally invested in his family, only Rock. Listening closely to the tune his mate was starting to sing Roll couldn’t help but bring up their old memories of songs through their ages. “Like looking through a fogged mirror…” Roll howled out the end his chest puffing with pride and filling with happiness. “Decisions too, decisions are made and not bought.” His feet carried him through the warm sand after his mate, the cool beach air rushing over his fur and his white teeth shined in the distance.

Was it yearlings, perhaps, that brought Aurora from her gazing, or the fact that the odd pair were making a ruckus? Regardless, her ears went back, unsure of what to do, as she watched the two banter and howl and tear up the beach. Well, it's not like the beach was flat and pristine, anyways. The sands had speckles of dark brown, light brown, and sometimes, when seen in the light correctly, bits of gold.
She shook her head slightly. Now is not the time to get distracted. They aren't stars. The aurora furred wolf watched the two carefully. She was beside herself, and though she was fast, Aurora wasn't that strong. Sh-should I...? Maybe greet them.. Or they decide to say hi? Are they even friendly? The young wolf pawed at the sand in the water. I'm sure they are. No need to get worried. Still, though.. It's two males together, so there must be a pack nearby, right?
Of course, Aurora wasn't always so timid. But with the whispers of quite a few large packs making their homes, who knows what she'll find. Maybe she could spend the rest of her days as a pet for the humans, being taken care of. Or maybe she could do something with her life.

Rock continued to run, switching back once in a while to playfully n** at Roll, singing, the whole time. "Don't you think it's boring how wolves talk... because I'm doing this for the thrill of it!" He just couldn't help it, he had to run and burn off all his energy. He was finally feeling happy for the first time since the visions invaded his mind and tore his world apart.
Suddenly, though, he began to slow a bit. He was listening now, and could hear the thoughts of a different wolf very close to them. Female? Somewhat doubtful... maybe a bit timid? He avoided reaching back out to her with his mind, as last time he had tried that hadn't gone so well. He found it best to wait and gather information before just inputting things into wolves minds.
He waited until Roll caught up to where he had finally halted, and nudged his mate's shoulder. "I love you, boy-o." he spoke aloud, winked, and then spoke more quietly. "There's a little dudette close by." he grinned and looked around as though he were scouting for the first time, having picked up a new scent. "Ahhah, just there!" he nuzzled Roll again before prancing off in the aurora-pelt female's direction as slowly and non-threatening as he could manage, in all his excitement. "Come along, dude, let's meet our new neighbor!"

Laughing Roll followed after his mate, hopelessly and endlessly he would follow no matter what; he had to give it to him, Rock knew where the adventure was at. "Now Rock, my dear, you've gotta remember not everyone speaks our language."
His ears perked at the mention of a new friend, a female friend at that. It would be great to have another wolf around, almost Roll prefers his mate's company over any other wolf he also enjoyed company and adventure at all opportunities. Trotting along the beach Roll slowed behind his mate, one wolf was enough of an introduction.
Eh ******** it, Roll howled low meant as a warm greeting; he wasn't a very patient wolf
"You know my motto, gotta get it done brother."

From her perspective, they didn't seem like they were coming at her hostile, so that was good. She gave a light wag with her tail, and started walking towards them as well. Her ears may have slightly gone forward, but it still made her look a bit timid.
Aurora smiled at the greeting. She also started howling low, before cutting herself off and wrinkling her nose. Her voice was very soft and light, but her howls would forever sound like a pup's. It's probably why the wolf rarely howled. God, I sound like a banshee... The femme thought, Nah, it'll be fine.
After reaching about five feet away, she dipped her head. "Hello..." Aurora's bell like voice drifted softly towards the pair. If the waves had been crashing, and the beach stormy, she'd be hard to hear! The young wolf pawed at the ground softly, looking up at the two before fixating on the sand between her paws. "I-I'm not very good at introductions."

The fluffy pink and brown wolf couldn't help but smile. She thought she sounded bad when she howled, but he would never call that howl a bad sound. It was cute, reminded him of his sister, Toki. "Hey there, dudette!" he spoke boisterously, reflecting his personality in the way that he spoke. He was all wide grins and wagging tail. He had a very brief thought that this would be much easier if he were high, but ever since fleeing Telk, there hadn't been much of a chance to slow down and search for his favorite mushroomy buddies.
"Name's Rock... like.. like a rock!" he snorted, a short laugh at his attempt at being smooth. "And this'ere is my beau, Roll." no attempt at smooth here, just a wink and a nudge to Roll's shoulder. "What's your name? Gorgeous fur by the way!" he exclaimed, as if noticing for the first time that the female was so uniquely colored. He pranced a bit back and forth as he awaited a reply. He still couldn't sit still. The sun, the sand, the breaking waves. He loved it, and this was the first place they had come across to remind him of anything like home. He hoped that Samhain and Draka would find a nice dark cave in the mountains somewhere, however, so they could be secure and comfortable in a new home again.
Rock's nose twitched as he sniffed around, taking in the salty ocean air, getting an idea of this female's scent, and searching for traces of other wolves that might be in the area. She seemed nice enough, but even Rock realized sometimes that you could never be too careful when in an unknown territory. He didn't smell any others, and still wasn't picking up any other thoughts from different wolves, so he figured for now, everything should be fine. Upon figuring that out, he sat in the sand, letting his fluffy pink tail flop lazily back and forth, still wagging and happy.

Roll laughed at Rock before bumping him playfully, his mates word play would always be the death of him he found it so endearing. Roll's body wiggled to the same tune of his mate's, his paws shifting in the sand as his body hummed with excitement for the new friend.
Bowing forward Roll laughed, "Your voice darling, I even your ability to reach the pitch I can't." Roll sang out the last part trotting in place, whenever his mate was happy he couldn't help but play off his energy. His gaze followed Rock over the sand, every now and again flickering back to the beauty before him, she was certainly going to do wonderfully with them.
"It's got to be something beautiful, and colorful, and certainly something that matches your personality... Oh Rock, wouldn't it be great if we could guess her name?" Roll said winking at his mate.

The excitement that was exploding from the two could be used to fuel one hundred puppies. She mused to herself a little, Love to sing and banter, check. Super excited, double check! Their excitement was starting to rub off on her as her tail wagged more.
Roll's comment made her blush slightly, "Oh, well.." Aurora paused. "I've always sounded like a pup." She laughed a little, both out of nervousness and how funny he looked when he trotted then bowed. "Nice to meet you, Rock, and Roll." The young wolf blushed even more. Her fur was beautiful? I don't think I've even got a compliment like this before. I mean, I know I like my fur, but maybe they don't see this kind very often.
She tilted her head, pausing again, before saying, "Okay, let's make is a game~!" Her eyes shifted from Rock, to Roll twice. She got up and spun in a circle slowly once so they could see her whole body, then winked, "My fur looks a lot like an unexplained phenomenon in the sky. It happens only in the north, and only at night! That's your only hint." Aurora stuck out her tongue briefly.

Rock couldn't help but grin as Roll danced beside him, swaying to the same silent tune that he danced to. He laughed as his mate brought up an ability to reach higher pitches. Even his own voice - usually very deep and almost booming with his boisterous nature - had the tendency to revert back to that of a squeaky puppy when he got excited or flustered.
He thoroughly enjoyed that she was making notes of them, and he loved the notes that were being made. Though he was also making notes - namely, that this beautiful female needed more compliments in her life! True compliments, not just silly frivolous words meant to advance a potential lover's chances. No female really had to worry about that from Rock, or Roll for that matter. Even though the pair were set out to find a female willing to lend her body and her emotions to their want to reproduce, neither were really of the mind to lie about such things as beauty and how they felt about a certain wolf, or even lie about themselves for that matter.
As Rock sat, wagging his tail and prancing on his paws, he began wriggling his toes in the sand, down deep until he met the cooler, damp sand that lay below the sun-warmed top sand. Ooooh, another thing he seriously loved, the fact that there was all this warm sand to revel in, but if one got too hot, one only had to scrape down just a little bit to get to the cool dampness that helped so much to cool off on a day like today. "Mmm, yes, it would be wonderful if we could guess her name." he responded, after the female also stated they should make a game of it. "But that's all you, m'dear! You know I'd be cheating if I made a guess, and we can't have that!" he grinned mischievously.

Roll whined just slightly before turning towards his mate and stretching forward with his paws, "Oh but that's the best part sugar!" Laughing Roll couldn't help but smile, they were finally starting to get past the, er well past. Roll would have his Rock and they could finally have the life they'd always dreamed of as pups.
Straightening Roll leaned forward and nuzzled Rock's thick neck, "I keep providing outrageous guesses to an otherwise obvious answer, such as..." Roll trailed off as his gaze went back to Aurora's coat, it was stunning and quite frankly a little blinding.
Yeah Roll was a little jealous, maybe he should try that sun bathing thing he had heard so much about.
"If I were you I'd call myself 'Marble Fusion' mmhmm." Nodding Roll slipped a smirk in Rock's direction, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
