[ This RP is only for the time lost people, healers, wingleaders and gold riders... and anyone else who can sneak in, but anyone who does may be in deep trouble!
It has been a little more than a day since the time lost people appeared over High Reaches and at present they are all being kept in a large ward in the infirmary, and not allowed to leave. Their injuries have been treated but they haven't been officially told what's going to happen to them, or who is in charge of the Weyr, or what the heck is going on. They have been told they are in the 6th Pass but they may or may not believe it. Everyone will find themselves exhausted and achy regardless of whether or not they were injured, an effect of the strain of time travel. All of the dragons are over in the dragon infirmary cavern and likewise they haven't been allowed outside. ]
A day ago life had been....
Well it hadn't been peaceful, life was never peaceful but it had been an average level of busy and fraught. Now however....
Now his infirmary was host to a collection of people who had come out of the past. Five hundred and fifty four turns out of the past.
Bereck shook his head slightly and closed the door behind him as he stepped back into the ward where the inexplicable people were staying. Five hundred- five hundred and fifty- and the things they must know! It was taking all of his willpower not to start firing off questions about their time, and all his credulity to accept that this really was real. To travel between times!
Feeling inexplicably and uncharacteristically nervous, as though he were ten years old again and trying to get up the courage to speak to the Weyrhealer, Bereck cleared his throat. "Ah, food will be along shortly. You should all eat something if you can."

Valdene was out. Out cold. Only vaguely aware that she was lying on something and even then only for brief moments within the constant absence of oblivion. The last thing she remembered was exiting the cold of between and feeling as though she had struck a wall, and seeing the half-familiar bowl of High Reaches weyr far below.
Suuyeth, in the dragon infirmary, was not at 100%, and he would be the first to admit it. He felt like he'd been wrung out and beaten and various other things he did not like.
Still, this was Suuyeth, and he wouldn't be brought low by betweening 550 years into the future or by his rider being laid low.
he said 'out loud', his mental voice – though dulled and tired – still holding some of his usual bright energy, He looked up... and up and up... at one of the dragons at the entrance. They were massive, these dragons. Huge. But Suuyeth had never been intimidated by size – just the opposite. Being the size of a medium-small horse, he was used to lots of things being bigger than him. <'Cause I want to stretch my wings. I mean, I could probably fly around in here...> it was a massive cavern, He looked up at the dragons, eyes whirling,

Berath was used to feeling big and awkward but not this big and awkward; that bronze over there was smaller than she was, she was sure of it! She was trying not to intrude on the group of elegant little dragons; she felt a bit bad for watching them at all in fact but Ber had asked her to keep an eye on them all, some of them had been quite badly hurt and - well - who knew what traveling forward half a millennia could do to the system?
While she was feeling huge and awkward and conspicuous somehow Berath hadn't expected to be addressed, even just by a general broadcast. Now that she had been spoken to however the hulking scarred green felt that it must be alright to approach and talk to the miniature blue who had spoken up, it wasn't intruding if he had asked questions after all. she replied as she padded over towards him, humming a deep-voiced greeting to the other dragon.

Vesresh remembered between. He had cuddled up to his sister's chest to stave off the cold and the fear. She'd been warm and solid, and her dragon had been too. As he listened to their heartbeats in that cold, painful silence, he had felt safe. He had felt as through everything would be all right.
It had gone on and on, longer than his mind dared to think, but he still knew everything would be all right. Vesin and Kelilayth were strong and heroic. They'd save him. They'd save everybody.
The shock of air as they exited between, the sense of being dragged, and then they landed. It had been rough, but Vesin was solid, steady, there. Hurt, though – they had gone to the infirmary and Vesresh remembered being tired... so tired.
He had woken up here, in this closed room with many other people, some he knew others he did not. He'd heard someone mention it vaguely - something about being hundreds of years in the future, but that didn't matter. Belief or disbelief were thrown to the side as he hugged his legs to his chest and stared at his still-resting sister.
He looked up, dazed, at the man – a high ranking healer, though Vesresh couldn't see the knots so well. “Food?” he said, a little tinnily.
He was hungry, he realized. And thirsty. And other things.
Still dazed, the boy unfolded himself and slid out of bed, holding onto the frame as he staggered, his balance off...

said the blue, sitting down, tail lashing, eyes shimmering a pleasant green with delicate hints of yellow and a slight edging of grey. Sitting down was practical – it gave him a better view of the guard. And he was tired, just a bit, just a little. Maybe a lot. he said, chirping a greeting in return, his tail lashed with clearly restrained impatience, he flapped his wings, he said, his voice suddenly animating slightly as he switched to private speech, he asked Berath,

Bereck took a couple of quick steps forward - a muscle in his jaw twitched as his leg twinged - and caught the boy's shoulder with his free hand to steady the child. He was just a child, maybe ten or eleven. Nevermind the wonders of the past, what horrors had this boy just seen? Had all of them seen for that matter. Records from that time were incomplete to say the least but everyone knew of the Benden massacre.
"Don't try to do anything too quickly," Bereck counseled the child softly, giving his shoulder a light squeeze. "What's your name lad? I'm masterhealer Bereck, but just Bereck will do fine for now if you like." The least he could do was try to put the child at ease, not that he felt he was the best with that sort of thing but he could try.

Berath replied with a gentle hum and a bob of her head. She didn't count for rather obvious reasons which she considered fair enough; she would be a useful indicator, and on the off chance she did get ill she was a robust dragon and so more likely to get over it than some.
Ah though.... Yes. Berath turned her blocky head a little to inspect herself and thought about the scars. They weren't elegant or lovely but unlike her hefty frame she had no negative feelings about them, perhaps even felt a little proud of them. she hummed again, gently sorting through her rider's mind for the fine details. She felt her bondmate shiver slightly as her probing sent the memories of blood, ichor and screams flickering keenly across his psyche for a moment.

~That was perhaps a little insensitive Suuyeth.~ Aioth chided for both to hear. One yellow eye blinked as the little green weyrling slowly roused herself. ~ I am Aioth. Mine still sleeps.~ She eyed Berath openly, taking in the adult greens immense size in addition to her scaring and considerate manner. She was as large as their adult bronzes and even more impressive in size. ~ Where exactly are we?~

Regulith stirred at the familiar voice, blinking open yellow-grey eyes. The cavern he found himself in was not one he recognized but... but they had been going to some other Weyr hadn't they? That was why then. between, why- Shells!> The Weyrling bronze started upright at the sight of the unfamiliar green giant before him. are you?> Whenever he didn't understand something Regulith turned first to his rider but when he touched her mind he found her in an exhausted sleep, which meant he needed explanations from elsewhere. he asked of his companions in general, settling stiffly into a sitting position as he echoed his classmate.

Elane had been awake for some time, the rider quietly propped up and observing, but neither she nor Pellinorth had chosen to join any sort of conversation yet - rather, they had been locked in the mental equivalent of a snuggle for the whole time. Now the dragon stirred, prompted by the mild distress of the handful of weyrlings. Pellinorth could never resist an opportunity to lend comfort or aid to a fellow… and when one was in a place where greens grew to such mammoth sizes, they would all need to stay together.
he said gently, having picked up this ‘fact’ through passively listening to the weyr’s dragons chatter - though his rider refused to believe it, something not helped by their quarantine. She had a suspicious mind, and this was… well, it was all too convenient, on top of (her mind shied away from the thin ice over that). when?>

Aioth turned her attention to Pellinorth. ~ When.~ She stated, not quite questioning but at the same time confirming that she had heard correctly. Her eyes gave a quick whirl, alarm flashing uncharacteristically across the strained weyrling's face. ~ When...? ~ How many days had it been since the attacks?
Visibly Aioth had come out of their ordeal with little to show other than a couple scratches of unknown origin. Nothing that wouldn't heal clean with a couple days of care. Mentally she was exhausted. She ached as much within the privacy of her own thoughts as she did physically in every muscle and bone. Passively collecting and storing information for later was about all she was capable of at the moment, questioning the veracity of it would have to come later. The fact that the strange dragon before them was of an unnatural size could be a trick of a mind broken by trauma and would just have to be accepted as is until she had energy enough to process it. Thinking deeply on any of this was too much for her at that very moment.

Valdene and Suuyeth said Suuyeth, mock indignantly, He got up and pranced around, he said proudly, sitting back down, his tail movements calmer now – some energy had been released. he commented, his eyes wide at her story. Whers? Really? He could believe it though! His gaze snapped quickly to Aioth, and he sent over the telepathic draconic equivalent of a tongue sticking out. he protested, he switched to private speech to Berath for a moment, he switched back, he blinked. He'd been asking another question, just before Aioth had jumped in... right? Oh well, he forgot things all the time, and that was fine because there were always new things. By land, he of course meant fall out of the sky and get carried down – which, in retrospect, had been fun. His eyes whirled a darker green blue as he looked, his large perplexed eyes comical in his small face. He said to Pellinorth though he was really broadcasting because he was just a chatterbox like that.

VesreshTawnyAngel We're playing as the twins haven't woken up yet, but are relatively uninjured physically Too quickly... everything had happened too quickly... Vesresh swallowed against his needy throat and managed a nod. His stomach felt empty, and somehow it merged with thirst and fear and exhaustion and confusion into a monster of a sensation that did nothing to help him make sense of what was around him. “Vesresh...” he said, holding onto the bedframe until his balance returned. He looked at the man, his eyes wide, though not yet filled with tears – they would be soon though, soon enough. Even he, dazed as he was, knew that already. “My name is Vesresh...” he glanced back at his sisters. “Are they...” he looked back at Bereck, pleading, “Are they going to be...” He swallowed, as emotion – terrifying amounts of emotion, more than he dared to bear all at once – threatened to well up. “Are they going to be all right?” he managed to say, his voice hollowed with fear.

Berath nodded, the tips of her tail flicking with awkward restlessness as the younger of the two bronzes stared at her. How was she going to break this to them?
Berath sent her bondmate a feeling of worried agreement, he was right but it was such a strange thing to say, and such a shock, and they would in all likelihood never go home, and everyone they had loved back there - back then - was long dead and... and it just didn't seem fair.
That was really all that could be done she supposed but it seemed woefully inadequate. Berath said eventually. She thought about adding 'I'm sorry' or 'It'll be alright' or something but it all seemed wretchedly useless and so she remained silent, waiting for them to react so that she could work out what best to do next.

Bereck meanwhile gave the boy a slightly tight smile and nodded. "They should be fine; they're not badly hurt, just exhausted by the jump. Are they relatives of yours?" They certainly looked as though they could be.

Vosin and Bronze Tiaeth
Vosin was slowly aware of little things. Like she hurt all over in that achy-sick way, but her shoulder really hurt and definitely felt strained. She was laying somewhere and she could hear voices. Instinctively she reached with her mind for the voice that was so familiar and a part of her. The familiar presence of Tiaeth roused from sleep and reassured her.
I have been in better shape, the bronze responded slowly. Curled up against a familiar lump that could only be his clutchmate, he didn't want to move. Tiaeth knew he was sore. That had surely been his worst landing since he graduated flying classes.
They will speak of that landing for Turns to come Vosin. Tiaeth blinked his eyes slowly and lifted his head to take in the other dragons around him. What jumped out at him was the truly massive green that seemed to be at the center of a conversation. He stared. His mind tried to make sense of what he was seeing. How could a green get so big?
She gave a soft sigh, mostly in relief, as her dragon tried to joke. I'm afraid they will. The important thing was that they had gotten down without seriously hurting anyone. Vosin winced as she thought about moving and her muscles told her she would be feeling that landing for awhile to come. Cautiously she opened her eyes and her next thoughts turned toward her siblings. Where they alright?

Elane said succintly as Pellinorth shared this with her.
<…I see your point>
<…maybe Senthor would shelter us? I didn’t see his men’s coat of arms, and he did love me…>
Pellinorth sent his attention back into the room, reaching out carefully to the older dragons in the room - barring the strange, massive green. He did not trust the weyrlings not to blab, and perhaps it was better to get them in on any attempt to get out of here when it was strictly necessary.
