Being in Halloweentown was almost strange to Junko. It had been so long. Too long, maybe? Junko gazed up at the sky as she strolled aimlessly down the sidewalk, heels clicking on the pavement and accompanied by the gentle hum of some whimsical little melody of her own creation. It didn't seem she had any particular destination in mind, she was just..walking. Reacquainting herself with home, probably. The dress she wore was definitely different from her usual, a soft oversized number that looked entirely too comfortable to be legal. It would seem someone was having fun with their loom lately. Hm..her loom. She stopped, looking up and down the street. Maybe Hel was still around? But she wasn't really sure how she would even go about finding the valkyrie, really..

Hel had a funny way (good or bad, up to who you asked) of showing up when thought about. Today wasn't an exception. The reaper and her familiar appeared some feet away in a flurry of wind as the large familiar beat its powerful wings to ease its descent onto the sidewalk. It landed with ease, and Hel immediately leapt off it's back, throwing the reigns onto the saddle as she started to walk, looking up at it. "So that is why I think it would be best to assign Titus that task of--" While Hel wasn't paying attention to where she was going, her familiar was. It spotted Junko and immediately snapped its beak out to grasp Hel by the collar of her shirt, stopping her. "Ack--Hey!" She cried. "What are you--" She snapped her head around to stare. "Oh!" She blinked before she grinned. "Cream Puff!" She greeted good-naturely and cheerfully. "It has been a while!"

Cream Puff. Junko stopped walking and cringed. Noooooo. She'd been hoping it'd been long enough for Hel to forget that stupid name. Regardless, Junko turned with a genuine smile for the ghoul she hadn't seen in a long time, just as she had said. It was nice to know she was still recognizable. Junko raised her arm to wave to her. "Hel! Hi! It has," she laughed. "And hello to you as well!" The ghoul greeted the familiar cheerfully as she walked up to the two of them. She reached into her pocket, digging around for a minute before finally offering up a couple spookies from the palm of her hand. "How are you? I just got back the other day so I haven't really had a chance to catch up with many of my friends yet."

Famine let go of Hel once she was in the clear, and Hel grinned at Junko as she approached. As soon as Junko offered up some spookies, the familiar's head snapped down and to the side to immediately gobble up the treats, and it let out a pleased 'wark' as it then ruffled its feathers. The reaper snickered, glancing at it before turning back to the ghoul. "Ah, good, friend, good! Just in between missions right now, so I am taking care of business in town!" She paused. "Back?" She asked. "Where did you do?"

Hm..you know what..Junko reached into her pocket again to then offer up more spookies to the familiar. Win the familiar's love. Yes. Best plan. Hel's answer was rather interesting, however! "Missions? What're you up to?"Junko shook her hand once the familiar was finished, brushing the leftover crumbs off her palm and then just clasping her hands together in front of her. "Mm! I went on a trip to the human world. It was really fun! I kind of needed it, I wasn't in uh...a good place before I left.."Yeaaaaaah..

When more spookies were offered, the familiar happily gobbled down more. Hel couldn't help but stare up at the murky orange sky with an annoyed look at how much of a pig it was before snapping her attention back to Junko. "Scouting!" She exclaimed. "I scout and do recon for Nox, yanno, head the Trick of Treaters? I am his personal assistant! I just got back from another world recently, and I must go again soon, so business to attend to now!" The reaper nodded her head. "Oh ya?" She grinned a bit. "Pretty interesting, ya? Humans are interesting!" Hel paused. "...Ah...you refer to the whole boilfriend thing, ya?"

"Really!" Junko gasped. "That's wonderful! Congratulations! What world? That sounds so cool! Traveling from world to world, seeing all the sights they have to offer?" Jealous! But not to a degree she was spiteful. It was an admiration for the ghoul, really. The job suited Hel. She nodded. "They are! Very strange. Very trusting. Even with me having more hair than any human I came across they all were so willing to follow me places so I could scare them." Giggling, Junko then sighed and shook her head. Silly humans. Did no one teach them about following strangers? Oh well! It worked for her! But Hel's next question earned her a slight smile. "Sort of...it was more than that, I think. I mean, that was part of it but..I just..." She shrugged. "I think I was overwhelmed by a lot of things..I did see Seiji when I came back the other day, we bumped into each other on my way home."

Hel beamed considerably, but then shrugged. "Eh...I am not certain what it is called...I just go!" Leaping in head first and what not without much provocation. That was how Hel rolled. She then nodded her head, shifting her weight to one leg as she rested her hands on her hips. "Ah, so you focus on scaring, then?" Despite being a ToTer, Hel did not focus so much on that. She focused on all the other things. Traveling, learning, information gathering and treasure hunting. She then paused, and nodded her head. Well, alright, she could grasp that. "Well, it is most important you could acknowledge you needed to take some time away to straighten your s**t out." Hel replied, and then tilted her head. "Seiji, that is the boil thing? Oh...ya?" The way her tone ended indicated she was waiting to hear more.

"When I'm there I do. I'm not sure it's something I exactly want to make a career out of but I enjoy doing it when I can. I've always been good at it, but I'd rather keep with fashion." It had been her passion for much longer than her efficiency and enjoyment at scaring. That was a nice 'every now and then' treat. Junko nodded. Yes, it was a very good thing. She felt so much better! Almost like a new person entirely. She hadn't actually taken a vacation in..goodness...three years? It was very overdue. As for Seiji.. "Yeah..well um..we've...decided to give each other one more chance. To, like, fix things..the issues we had with each other." Junko rubbed the back of her neck, feeling sheepish about it for the first time. She remembered the mess she was last year when she did it. It..was awful. But things were going better so far.

Hel nodded her head. "Fair enough!" She replied, and then tilted her head and stared at Junko. Oh...wait...so...she got back together with him...after all that? She stared at her some more, and then her chest shook with a short, but loud snort. Like she was trying to keep it in, but failed miserably. "Ahhh...do not tell Mac that!" She finally said cheerfully, amused. "He will get pissy that he went out of his way to help you, only for you to go back to your boil thing." She then snickered, finding this whole thing rather amusing. The reaper then rolled her shoulders and shrugged. "Eh, you have a good head on your shoulders, sometimes, Junko, so if you think you can work it out, than more power to you!" Some things were salvageable, some things not.

Junko for some reason felt like she needed to brace herself. Yes, she remembered very well what she had been like last year after breaking up with him. She remembered beforehand, too. She smiled sheepishly and fidgeted with a lock of hair that tangled itself around her hand and wrist. Oh. That wasn't so bad. Junko chuckled. "Yeah, I..I think if it'd been an immediate thing, it wouldn't have worked. But we've been apart for over a year and...we talked. We're taking things slow." She shrugged. For the most part, anyway. "It's been good so far, so I'm holding out hope I didn't..completely mess things up." She hummed, recalling a conversation with Mac. Eh...he'd probably get pissy, but she felt like he'd understand her reasoning best of everyone. But Junko finally smiled again, nodding her head. "Thank you, Hel." Why couldn't Hel be nice and reasonable like this all the time? "You said you have business to attend to?"

Hel nodded her head, half listening and half imagining Mac's reaction to this as she chatted to him about her day later. Hrmmm! It would be most interesting, definitely! Hel focused her attention fully back on Junko, just in time to catch the 'messing things up' part, and then snorted. "Ah." She waved a hand a bit. "Do not blame yourself entirely!" She exclaimed. "No matter what happened, there is fault on both sides!" Shouldering all the blame was stupid, and a lesson she had learned the hard way when her fall out with Mot happened. The reaper just waved her hand again, and then perked up a bit. "Ah! Ya! Just some simple things to pick up to stock up my cottage! Nothing incredibly urgent! What are you up to?" As she asked, Hel's brows furrowed a bit in thought as she stared at the ghoul. After a moment she followed up that question with another question. "And when do I get to meet your boil thing?" At this point she really should have, since he had been a hot topic that got Mac involved some time ago, and since it had come up now.

"Well no, of course it's not entirely my fault, but some of it was." She shrugged again. Junko wasn't foolish enough to think she was completely in the wrong or even completely innocent in all of that. Heh. Junko smiled. "Thanks, Hel." Junko perked up at mention of the cottage. "Oh yeah? I've never seen your cottage! I'd really love to sometime! If you'll have me, that is." Wait.. Meet him? Hel had never met him before? Huh! She thought she had! "Um..anytime you want? I can honestly just get him to come visit whenever I want, really."

"Good! As long as you know that it--" She paused. "Takes two to tango." Even after all this time, Hel was still not familiar with some idioms, and to save herself from looking stupid, she stopped to think about this one. "Ah!" The reaper's eyes rolled up to the sky in thought. "Not soon, obviously, because I am leaving for another world, but ya! That would be most doable! You might even see Mot, if he is there!" Hel grinned a bit, but her grin got wider as Seiji was brought up. "Oh ho...can you now?" Hel snickered. The way Junko had stated that made Seiji seem like her b***h...but that was a thought she'd keep to herself for now. Maybe. Possibly. "How soon?"

Mot? He was living with Hel, too? What about Gene..? Huh. Junko shrugged. "Basically. I mean, he's told me no a couple times because he has class or something, but sometimes.." Sometimes she was able to just send him a selfie of her pouting or something and he would be over before she knew it. Junko fished her phone out of her pocket, checking through something with a pout of her lips. "When do you leave?" She asked Hel while typing away on her phone.
