So, I've been using an omniblade a lot recently at Belegarth. Essentially, it's a lightsaber. Makes it so you don't have to aim your shots, is easier to get appropriate force with, and hard for a herald t ocall shots for, so they're more likely to call in your favor. I have always hated them, because to me it is not realistic in the slightest to make a foot and a half long stick, pick up a giant shield, and then run around lightly tapping people and calling them dead. And then I started to use an Omnibladed polearm, because of an event we're having nationwide called "Kingdoms of Belegarth", hereafter referred to as KoB

What KoB is is essentially a territory battle. It was created by some of the larger realms in a power-play within the council to try and spread their separate influences, for if they defeat you, they own your realm and fighters. And the only people who can fight are those who have been to a certain number of events that that same council has to approve of. Since I've been to a good few events, and most people know me, I couldn't be kept out. I have to help defend my realm. We do not attack other realms, because we don't believe in this.

To combat all of the tower-shielding omni-longbladers out there...I had to do something. So I made a 5 foot long omniglaive and a strapped kite shield. And it kicks butt, however... I feel dirty about it. I'm using a weapon I have spoken against a great many times and wielding a shield I know for a fact someone of my stature could not actually wield.

So, recently, I swapped back to my shortsword, spear, and round shield. and I am rebuilding my Guan Dao, Longsword, and my Lucerne. I also just broke my Trident, so that I will have to put back together later.

But when I started to do the work on my Longsword and my Shortsword, kinda my main set there, I swear at some point the Longsword called me a hooker.

I don't know what's more concerning- That my weapons have begun speaking to me, that I spoke back, or that it called me a hooker.

In the meantime, I may not be able to attend a KoB event this month that I was supposed to be at, so we're going to be down one spearman.

tl;dr - I went against some of my own ideals and a sword called me a hooker.

Anybody else ever have to do that?
