Gyuri was out on patrolling, deciding that the first that he needed to do now that they were safely away from Neued was to make sure that nobody and nothing was right around the area where they had decided to take a rest. It was a tall tree, one with thick, broad branches that were big enough to sit on, big enough that if one were to look up at the tree they wouldn't be able to see those who were sitting up there. He could only hope that the Obans would stick to the ground and not bother with what they couldn't see. Out of sight, out of mind, it was a rule that he was hoping would apply if any member of that particular faction got as far as where they were now. Since they had a bit of a head start on the Fire Tribe army he hopes that meant that they would have more then enough time to rest up before they started out again. He just hoped that now that they were far enough out that it wouldn't require him to carry Makani any further, while he didn't mind doing so he wanted to have his hands free so that he would better be able to defend them against... well, anything that happened upon them. Gyuri wasn't a fool, he knew that the Oban army wasn't the only danger skulking about in the woods of Jauhar.
Giving a little sighing he looked from side to side, taking in the thick forest, one that made it quite dark even though he knew it was day time. Given the eternal darkness it meant that they would need to be that much more careful for as long as they were here, though truth be told he was eager to get them back to Tale where it was a lot easier to see everything that was going on. Despite being uncertain about the idea of going back to Zena, especially with all the angry parents that were waiting there, he wondered if that might be the safest place for them all to be. At least parents were better then the dangers the Oban army presented to them... but he wasn't sure if he was ready to head back, not yet.
As he was thinking on this the sound of buzzing caught his ear. It sounded to a degree familiar, a noise he'd heard before in the woods, only this time it was a lot closer to him. He jerked his head from side to side, fists raising into the air, and he prepared for whatever it was that was out there. It sounded as though it were getting closer and closer, meaning that the danger was approaching quickly... and it suddenly burst through the under brush and raced right toward him. Gyuri took a few swings at them, but missed entirely... and much to his relief what turned out to be some rather giant bugs just continued on their way by him. They weren't as scary as some of the things in the woods but they had startled him nevertheless. He was hopeful that they didn't come back, but given the sounds that they were making at least he would know if they did, right? And if they did maybe he'd see about trying a little harder to take one down. Sure, they weren't the most delicious things in creation but at least he knew they were edible and he did have a full group that needed fed. Yeah, if they came back he'd tried to catch one he decided, continuing with his inspection of the tree that they would be staying at for the moment.
