He was still able to hear it, the buzzing sound of the second, very riled up maglardilla as it set about circling around him. It was obvious that it was looking for an opening, wanting very much to attack Makani for the fact that he had not only struck first but had killed the other maglardilla that the second had been hanging with. He felt a bit guilty about it, it wasn't as though he'd wanted to rile them up, he was just venting... but he supposed that this was a good lesson to be learned, that venting with magic was a really, really bad idea. Best that he just vent through a lot of complaining to himself about the things that were driving him crazy or many to those who might listen. He found himself wondering if anyone in the group was bothered by how they had fled before anything had even happened... but decided that line of though would have to wait until later.
Dodging to one side he set to gathering more power to him, another water spell, and set to pulling the stuff out of the air and let it circle around him in a protective manner. It would help to fend off the angry bug until he was able to better figure out where it was, using his magic to seek out its energy trails, following after them, trying to find the creature. Once he finally was able to do he sent the water flying forward in the form of several archs, each of them slamming into the maglardilla, throwing it backwards and away from him. Once it was thrown off balance he finished it off with an ice spine.
Sighing as he heard it fall, joining its fellow bug somewhere down below he sat down heavily, "Eesh... that went badly..." Not at all what he wanted to do... and now all he wanted to do was sit here in simmering silence, feeling even worse then before.
