For something like that all I know of is orajel or a teabag. The drawback to orajel is that any surface it touches in your mouth will go numb. It always makes me drool. xD But it can be worth it. For a teabag I just use a warm one and put it on the tooth. I thought originally this only worked with messed up teeth, cause I heard that it sucks the poison out. But looking online they say it can help even if you injured your tooth. Be careful laying down with one in cause it definitely makes you drool, and I've stained pillows that way.
Avoid really cold or hot stuff.
The internet is telling me clove oil, warm salt water, or ibuprofen or acetaminophen. The last two reduce inflammatory pain, which toothaches cause.
It's been quite a bit since you posted this though, so it might not hurt anymore. I hope you're not. If you're not hurting anymore this might help in the future.
