Time moves irritably slow when you wish it to pass faster. The years no longer tick away like minutes; the notion of fleeting moments no longer relevant. This sensation - this curse is what my life has unfortunately dwindled down to.
Time no longer chases after me. It does not weigh down on my bones and soul - does not make me old. I have no idea how old I truly am. I have long stopped counting. What I can tell you is that I am much older than you are, and will probably outlive you. It is not to boast, I have nothing to brag about. It is a fact; one that I have seen proven time and time again. I am called Gaemis, but I cannot tell you what I am. I used to be like you - normal, human. But now, I cannot even label myself as such. Gaemis was born a citizen of Greece, a proud prince of sorts. Being a child of wealth, he was spoiled and often acted accordingly. One sunny morning, an elderly woman approached him, beckoning him to lay his eyes on the items she had to sell. She held a rock about the same size of her palm, and she was quite insistent on him taking it.
“A rare trade,” she had spouted, but Gaemis was not in the least interested. The rock was ugly, rough, and plain - what would he want with that?
Disgusted and sneering, he turned the hag away with a wave of his hand. “Be gone with your nonsense.”
She was not as she seemed, however. The great goddess Athena had shed her divine skin to take on the before standing before him. As if the rock was as brittle as an egg, she cracked it open within her palms, revealing the jagged inside of sparkling sapphire. It had been a test - one that he had failed miserably. Had he stopped to think of what she was offering, perhaps he would have recognized the surface to be unusual and more unique than a simple pebble.
The goddess was wise, however, and knew he would not pass. She gave the barest of smiles before lifting a palm to his face. The power of his sight was pulled in to her palm, leaving Gaemis practically blind. Though he might view the action as unjust and cruel, Athena knew well of what she had done. The boy was not left handicapped, though. In place of his hindered sight, he was given several mental abilities - ones that were outside of his human capabilities.
“I have seen many of your kind, young Gaemis. You believe everything as is, not attempting to see what cannot be seen. Fear not, naive child; I have bestowed you a gift. Spend your endless youth mastering what I have given you, and pass on your new found knowledge to the foolish men of your world. Perhaps when I call upon you again, I may call you of the wise. Until then, dear Gaemis.”
He would spend hundreds of years following attempting to learn and master said abilities, even taking on pupils as the goddess had instructed. He soon found himself enjoying the new role of mentor, but the joy was short lived. Watching his selected pupils age and pass on eventually crawled under his skin and damaged his spirit. He abandoned this life style, instead turning to the shadows and hiding himself away. He has not picked up any others since… perhaps his stay at Trinity Castle will reopen this chapter of his life.

I do not rely heavily on social interactions, and because of such they also accuse me of being secretive, but whether or not that is the case, I am not sure. I have nothing to hide, but you do not have enough time left on your lifespan to hear all of it.
My… abilities make me what you would call a telepath or a mind reader.
Illusion manipulation: manipulate what others perceive, such as making them see things that aren’t present, or not see things that are.
Prediction: know the target’s next move and or attack by reading their brain waves.
Sensory scrying: perceive through the sense of other beings.
Thought manifestation: project one’s thoughts telepathically.
