Clark grinned over at the man in his passenger seat as he pulled up to a stop light, thrill rushing through him; he was able to bully Kendall into going to the beach with him. Humming in satisfaction. he kept one hand on the steering wheel, the other draped over the back of Kendall's seat. "This will be fun," he hummed cheerfully, putting on his turn signal to enter a small passageway through the dunes.
It had been a while since he'd gone to the beach. And, to be honest, he wouldn't have thought of it. But when his buddies decided to use spring break as a perfect opportunity to escape to the beach, Clark offered to bring their favorite freak along. Secretly, he knew that Kendall was a little bit more than his favorite.
Pulling up to the shore line, he spotted some friends before parking, turning to smirk at Kendall. "Ready?"

While Clark was humming, all Kendall wanted to do was for the seat to swallow him whole before they ever got to the beach. Leave his weakness to push him into going to the dreaded beach.
Pouting, hie eyes wandered back towards where the other male sat. He guessed it wouldn't be too bad. The notorious fake demon was happy, even though he exactly wasn't. And if it made his notoriously fake demon happy--. Kendall let out a low murmur of agreeance, sinking further into his seat and staring out at the water. It was probably okay. As long as he could see that smiling face, the blonde could deal with the monsters out at sea.
He hunched his shoulders at the thought, hair obscuring his vision temporarily as the car came to a halt. No, he wasn't ready. The weight in his stomach suddenly grew ten fold, and his heart palpitations increased. Fearful, would be putting it mildly. The waves looked like they were going to swallow him whole any second. No way was he ready for this. Yet, he swallowed thickly, trying to shove away the fear from his mind. It wasn't like he had to go near the water right? "Of course, I'm ready." he curtly snapped out, giving one last glance at the water from his obscured vision.
Quickly, Kendall removed himself from the vehicle---his safe place---and took one last look at the water before taking a step back. God, he needed a distraction. And so the blonde turned his head towards Clark, the only person that he could really trust in the gaggle of high schoolers, walking towards him. Without asking, he took his hand within his own, entwining their fingers. Unusual, yes. But going to the beach was unusual in and of itself, in his mind.
"We aren't staying for long, right? I have...research to do."

Clark didn't expect that.
Tensing up, he quickly glanced around as his hand was grabbed, before relaxing. No, it was alright. They thought he was leading the geek on. He wouldn't be judged. Turning blue eyes back to Kendall, he grinned down at him, pulling the hand up to his lips and brushing the back of it. "Just for a day," he hummed, not mentioning the cheap hotel he booked from the paycheck of his part-time job. Thumb rubbing the back of Kendall's hand, he tugged him closer before moving towards his friends, who were at the shoreline.
He spotted a few of his friends and, lifting a hand, waved at them... before directing Kendall in the other direction, where there were less people. Sure, the idea came from them. But really, he wanted to spend the day with the smaller man. Letting go of Kendall's hand, he looped an arm around his waist, giving him a smirk. "Are you okay?"
