((and any secondary characters you want to drag in or Cae for some points? I do have some plottage coming ... I promise.))

"Isidore are you ready?" Cosine called as she placed some items into a light bag. Of course there was her notebook, she was not about to travel to the Underworld, uncharted and as far as they knew not entirely formed, without her note book and several pencils. She'd put a few other things in just in case. Being a deity now she had the luxury of being able to travel light.

Ankou had convinced her to allow Isidore to come with them on their trip to the Underworld. She was not entirely sure if she should have agreed. It could be dangerous, though he was an adult now, in a way. If he wanted to join them then there was not much she could do to prevent him. Besides it was in his interests to learn about the realm of the dead.

"Yes, I'm coming." Isidore called out. He too was packing some things into a bag, one he had found in the market. A back pack the man had called it, it seemed convenient as it would rest on his back without getting in the way. He had packed some food, he doubted there would be much of that in the Underworld, some water too. A book he had found in the library about the secrets of the Underworld and a change of clothes. He imagined there could be the potential to get dirty.

"Come on Scim." The large black dog stood and padded over to his master's side. His red eyes glowing in anticipation of an adventure. The pair of them left the comfortable haven of Isidore's room and made their way into the main atrium of the apartments. The sun shone brightly through the glass ceiling and water trickled into the central fountain.
"We're ready." He declared.

Caelia clearly had some reservations about this whole thing. To her benefit, she wasn't pacing and driving everyone crazy, though one could argue that being perched on a chair and watching the packing with a critical eye was actually worse.

It wasn't so much because Isidore was being taken on an Adventure and she wasn't, not really - from the images he'd shown her from the books and their father's tales of the underworld, it certainly looked like a rather boring place to visit, full of dead people she couldn't see. The whole thing sounded, well, quite boring.

Boring and potentially quite dangerous, which exactly what Augury's problem with the whole thing. Try as she might, she had been unable to puzzle out anything about the trip to come - it had yet to occur to her that to try to have omens of a god's future would be a much harder thing than to grasp at a mortal's.

Her mother and father would let nothing bad happen to Isi, but, well... It didn't meant Caelia wasn't worried.

"Did you take my lucky charm, Isi ?" Yes, this was the solution Caelia had came up with, and she was adamant about the whole thing. Her feather had kept Nath safe, so of course it would keep her brother safe as well. She had managed a charm of sort with some help from their father, and she would be damned if she let Isi forget about it.

Ankou, for his part, was pouring over the maps one more time while everyone else was packing. There was little he truly needed down in there that was not already on his person. What Isidore had found served as a good starting point, but only time would tell if the trail would actually lead to what they sought.

Convincing Cosine to bring their son along had been eventful, indeed, and to be honest he wasn't sure if he had strung a convincing argument, or if his beloved had simply caved in because he was not. He thought the experience would do them all some good, but taking them one at a time seemed to be the best way to proceed. Caelia seemed rather uninterested, so perhaps Kyrie would be next.

(( Val >> << Party!!! emotion_awesome ))

Cosine smiled at her daughter's fretting and slipped her bag over her head. She was nervous about leaving the girls behind too, though really they could look after themselves and they had a large network of guardians.
"If you need anything Caelia, ask your Aunt." Though Caelia was at an advance stage of good hood her aunt had the wisdom and maturity ... most of the time to be the god in charge.

Isidore pulled his bag onto his back and grinned at his sister. He wished she was coming, they would have loads more fun. Though perhaps that was why she wasn't, his parents had a mission, they were not going to have fun.
"Of course I've got it Cae!" He declared, holding his arm up and pulling the sleeve of his tailored jacket and shirt back to reveal the charm she had made him sitting around his wrist. He wore it everywhere. "I'll tell you all about it when we get back. Unless you want to come along?" He asked.

"'Kay." There were definitively worse 'babysitters' to end up saddled with, and if Caelia had it her way, well, there would be plenty of fun to be had with her sister and her aunt while the rest of the family was away...

"Good !" Caelia chirped with a smile. Clearly nothing could happen to him, now.

Caelia frowned a bit when her brother once again asked if she would come along. It wasn't the first time, and Isidore was probably secretly hoping she would change her mind. Pârt of her kind of wanted to change her mind - an adventure was an adventure, after all - but someone had to watch things here and help Nath, and all that.

And beside, this whole Underworld thing sounded... scary. Not that she would have admitted it out loud, of course.

"Nuh uh." She shook her head. "But I'll come with you to the gate, kay ? You can tell me everything once you come back !"

She would forward to the story. Stories were good, too.

He would hear the voice of his family coming closer, so the Spirit Guide started to roll up the maps. By the time the three of them reached his workroom, he should hopefully be ready to go.

Part of him, like all the other times, wondered what would happen... But really, if Nergal had not reacted in any way to his other visits, would he now ? He figured there was only one way to truly find out.

(( dur, i forgot to pm you the plottage. I fail. Need to find the notebook I jotted it in. I swear I'm more forgetful than my 86 year old grandmother.))

Isidore smiled sadly as she said she couldn't come. He was half thinking it might be a bit boring with just him and his parents. Though they went on adventures they weren't exactly the life or soul of any party.
"Okay Cae, I'll tell you everything when we get back. He looked up as their dad joined them and patted his leg for Scim to come to his side.

"Ready then?" His mother asked.

He nodded and adjusted his bag a little.
"Yeah, let's get going!"

"Someone needs to watch over auntie Val," Yes. Because their aunt really was the one who needed to be watched over.

That, and well... at least for this much, her brother's definition of fun was quite different from her own. Poking around in a realm of dead thing and full of dead people did not exactly sound like fun to Augury. Listening to Isidore retell that tale was likely to be much more interesting than her living it.

Still, being who she was, Caelia was a bit curious, so she was willing to see what at least the entrance looked like. "Right, let's go !" She held onto her brother's hand tightly and pulled him along.

By the time they all came, he was ready, and stepped out with them. Caelia was quite excited for someone who was staying behind... But then again, this was Caelia. She was probably already plotting what mischief she would get into while he and Cosine were both busy elsewhere.

It did make him a bit nervous to leave her and Kyrie behind, but this was a step that needed to be taken sooner or later.
