What's your idea of a delicious salad?
I still remember back when my perfect salad at a buffet was:
Lettuce Croutons Raisins Diced Turkey Shredded Cheddar Cheese Shredded Carrots Cucumber slices Ranch dressing....
Boy, have I grown over the years. I'll share my list later. What's yours?

I start with spinach or a spring mix for the lettuce. Then I have tomatoes, (onions if they aren't too strong), croutons, almonds, sunflower seeds, carrots, cheddar cheese, cucumbers, chick peas, pieces of bacon, parm cheese, and I think that might be it.

The greatest thing about a fantasy
I love salads. Especially with a ton of cucumber. Whether i love, so-so, or hate it depends on the taste of the dressing.
Is the possibility that it could happen. (CSI: Catherine Willows)

I'm curious, is dressing bad for you??
I've heard people say its fattening as hell and I've heard people say its fine in moderation and Ive also heard it depends on the type of dressing emotion_drool
It's all gross to me but what's the truth????

I think dressing is fine as long as you have small amounts of it. 3nodding I tend to lean towards a gluten-free dressing, such as honey mustard being gluten-free. It's hard for me to eat salad without dressing.

I'm actually pretty curious now, haha.

Cinderful I'm curious, is dressing bad for you?? If it has sugar, salt, and fat in it, it's more than likely bad for you. If it is processed by one of these big corporations, it is more than likely bad for you and good for their pockets and partners. You can certainly wander the internet and find your own knowledge. You can create your own dressing at home. I've heard that vinaigrettes are better than creamy salads. I dip my fork in a vinaigrette before picking up some salad to ensure moderation.

Oh, oh. I really have to stop thinking new stuff won't happen if I don't look for it. xD
I love salads. But.. I hardly ever eat them anymore. gonk
I love fruit salad the most. I've never made any of my own though. Love pasta salad too. Haven't made it in years.
As for regular salad, definitely needs spinach. For the best salad ever it would have:
Spinach All the different kinds of lettuce I could find Croutons sunflower seeds flax seeds Carrots Cucumbers Vinegar and lemon pepper seasoning on top
Dang I want salad now.
Really the only reason I stopped buying stuff for salad is, you can't really buy stuff for one salad. And I have to have so much variety. I'd end up eating two salads before all the stuff went bad. sad

Spenelli Really the only reason I stopped buying stuff for salad is, you can't really buy stuff for one salad. And I have to have so much variety. I'd end up eating two salads before all the stuff went bad. sad I definitely understand. I would buy the boxes of mixed leaves and mix my stuff into it and eat the whole thing, which gets costly after a while when you really look at it because all those leaves are supposed to be more than one meal, but if I don't eat it all then, it'll go bad by the time I want another salad, no matter how deliciously I crafted the first one.
