Noemi was very distracted with her work at the moment, Papers needed to be filed. Death reports needed to be sorted. She was just one small mist helping out today, since her infirmary duties were lacking today.
As per usual, she was carrying the large load of papers, her face obstructed from view as she balanced them precariously through the hallways, sometimes the papers tilted and she would stop and wait for them to even out....
Then she'd start her slow shuffle again. She sincerely hoped neither Jeremy or Aro came up and surprised her!

The next thing that happened would have been perfectly normal if Noemi had not been Noemi, but Stormy instead. A pair of big arms wrapped around her waist from behind, and the papers all tumbled to the ground. Tuck really hadn't thought that through, but it'd been a long ******** time since he'd seen his Stormygirl, and when he'd noticed her in the hall he'd given in to his first instinct. Which was, predictably, to wrap his arms around her waist from behind so that he could squeeze her to his chest. He made 'nomnomnom' noises against her shoulder, pausing briefly to give a quick, "Stormygirl, how you doin', babydoll?"

Arms were wrapping around her. She knew they were arms because Jeremy or Milo did the same thing, because she didn't know why but they liked to hug her. But these were not Jeremy and/or Milo's arms which meant it was a stranger. And strangers were danger. Hence the saying Stranger Danger.
"W..Wha..." The papers slid through her hands, falling into a big puddle of white and mess. That wasn't her concern though, her concern was the nomming sounds and the idea that. "WAIT PLEASE DON'T KIDNAP ME!!!" She half whispered, half yelled. It was a whisper yell as she tried to wiggle away.
"No! No. Am no Stormy!" She froze and looked over her shoulder. "I am Noemi! Please don't kidnap my cousin...or me!"

Tuck damn near dropped the girl.
"Aw hell, aw -- I'm sorry, aw, s**t, I thought you was Stormy, ya'll look the same from the back, an' -- aw, s**t, let me help you pick all this up, I'm so sorry."
He gingerly set her down and immediately began shuffling up the papers she'd dropped courtesy of him.
"I'm Tuck, I knew that Stormygirl had a .. ******** .. a cousin on the island but I wasn't made aware that you two was clones, s**t."

She thought his grip was loosening and ALMOST made it free before he set her down. She scrambled away quickly, plastering herself to the wall and staring at Tuck with wide eyes.
"Not first one..." She only whispered meekly, "Um...." She stuttered a little before lowering herself to grab some papers too. "You are...Tuck si? Ah, Friend of Evan! He mentioned you." Once in a blue moon, Stormy also mentioned him too. Evan and Tuck made the brothers of this island to her cousin. Stormy had such...large...brother...types.
"C...Clones..." She made a small sound of distress, "Well, yes, we look very much alike but we are different! Because...Because..." Noemi took a moment, "I have freckles and she doesn't!" AT THE MOMENT IT WAS THE ONLY THING SHE COULD THINK OF. Which wasn't Tuck's fault for not seeing it because papers and he had come from behind her. Anyways, she shuffled papers together. "Um...You don't...have to keep helping me, it's okay, I understand..the um misunderstanding." She brought the papers closer to her chest and looked around. "I don't...want to be a bother."

Tuck made quick work of the papers around him, crawling around on his knees to gather up the rest. He could see she was skittish, and it kind of made his chest ache. "Yeah, si, yeah, I'm Tuck. Ross. Tuck Ross. Evan talked about me?" He sounded a little too pleased. Tuck glanced over at the girl, his brow furrowing just a little. "Hey, now, you ain't no bother. I'm the bother. I really shoulda noticed you wasn't Stormy. C'mon now. You Stormy's family, you my family. That's the way that shi-- stuff works. 'sides, it's my fault that these papers is all over the place. Least I can do is help you out, right?" He had the tone of someone who was talking to a very small, very frightened puppy.

"It is...um nice to meet you though, I am not stormy so...so do I call you Mister Ross? Or...or like Evan..just um...Tuck?" She also hurried to gather her papers, feeling all sorts of awkwards because she didn't know how to talk to PEOPLE properly still, even she felt she was making more friends! It was just that...Oliver and Shu and Cee were all her size and not big like Tuck or Evan or Aro or Milo, maybe it was a size thing.
Maybe it was a Noemi thing.
"Oh...well, that...oh but..." She flushed and dropped her papers again because she was holding her hands and waving them around, "Please don't be bothered by that! I mean, um, I mean you don't have to be! I mean it's nice, but you don't have to be like that with me! b..Because I don't want Stormy to feel like I am taking her family away! I mean...I mean I am her blood family, not that means you aren't family too! but...but she's adjusted here too and I don't want to really force...but she has been...um..." Noemi's hands came up to hide her flushing face. "I'm so sorry, I'm not...I'm not good with people...And...And Stormy has been nice to me too and everyone is so nice I just...don't...."
She said in a quieter muffled by hands voice, "upset people.....Ah por qué parecen a mà esto?"

Aw, hell. "Now, come on, you just call me Tuck. Same as everyone else. Only one we ever called Mr. Ross was my daddy." He didn't say anything about the papers that she dropped. Instead, Tuck just picked them up, leaf by leaf, while trying to figure out what the ******** porky parachen amy easto meant. "I damn near flunked out of spanish class back in high school, Noemi, so you gonna have to just be patient with me. Hey, hey, now." He tugged on the sleeve of her jacket, pausing briefly to shuffle the papers he'd gathered into the pile that was rapidly forming between them. "We mostly all family here. You ain't bad with people. Stormy a real special girl, love her like I love my own damn sister. Take a breath, now, Noemi, hey." He hated to see anyone so mortified, especially thanks to him. "Now, we got these papers all stacked up. I'ma carry 'em for you. Where we headin, mm?"

"O...Oh well um okay. T...t...Tuck." She managed to get out after a second, "Tuck." She said it for practice, sort of like she did with Evan. At least with Evan, she was used to not saying Mister, so she just had imagine Tuck as the same level with Evan! just...had to get...to know him too. Time. She would try over time. She'd be brave, she kept telling herself, because friends were good.
"Ah." She jumped a little at the tugging of her sleeve, jolting her out of her mental pep talk of being brave and such. "S...SORRY! Sorry, Ah, I've been, um, sometimes I can't help...I switch?" She made hand motions, "When very nervous, from english to spanish, is mostly rambling, pleas...please don't pay it mind." she breathed out and looked back at the papers...but they were all cleaned up.
She would've tried to insist taking them from Tuck, but that would cause them to fall and drop again, and she'd be making a fool of herself again so she just stood up really fast, squaring her shoulders and straightening spine. "I...I suppose that is true! I...I mean everyone is really close...I am just...still trying to get used to this closeness." She was homeschooled after all and very protected from people, with minimal interaction outside of her parents. To even have Shu and Oliver as her best friends, was a blessing. Or Milo or Stormy or Evan or Cee.
She made a loud sound as she inhaled and then exhaled. This time she gave him a very meek smile, her own way of comforting.
"Oh um....well....to the death office, they are all reports...from missions." She tucked her hands into each other, nervously twiddling fingers and making sure she kept pace with Tuck, but from a good distance away from. Not because she didn't like him but because she didn't deal well with close contact of semi strangers. Oliver, Shu, Cee and Milo were the only ones she was okay with.

"It's okay, Noemi," Tuck shuffled the rather massive stack of papers in his hands (how the ******** had she been carrying something this awkward on her own?!) and made sure to keep his stride short enough so that she wouldn't have any issue in keeping up with him. She was too goddamn cute, and too ******** shy. "Ain't a big deal. I just wanted to make sure you wasn't sayin' anything important that I oughta know." He was silent for a while, taking a moment now and again to glance down at her. "You should meet my girl Heidi. She out at an outpost now, but she gonna be back on Saturday. I ain't seen her in months. You'd like her, she's real nice. Her an' Evan an' Stormy are all real important people to me - an' I got a twin sister, too, but she stuck at some outpost too, has been for a real long time. She ever comes back, you should meet her, too." It kind of killed him that she was so ******** skittish.

Because she was silly and used to paperwork things. After all, she was a better life moon mist hunter then she was death or sun. What was fighting, and stuff like that? She was forever a paper pusher.
Thank goodness it seemed Tuck noticed she was a much smaller hunter, because she was sure if he went his regular pace, she'd be speed walking / run walking to keep up with him. "Ah! I see, no, I will tell you!" She nodded, "It is rude to speak spanish si? Well um, without offering translation. Ah, if it makes you feel better, I ah...I asked myself why am always like this? I get so nervous and I never can stop. I don't want to upset you!" She squeaked, "I just..um..not very good with people...or talking....or anything..." She sighed.
Oh Tuck had a girlfriend! That must be nice! It seemed a lot of islanders were paired up with others! She wanted to find a good person for Shu and Oliver and Cee too! She liked to think they all deserved some kind of happiness!
"I wonder what she is like? Is she nice?" Of course she was asking because...well was she? "And very pretty? Are you going to marry her?" She cracked a smile before faltering just a little, "Ah! You have twin here? What is like? Family? So close..." Ah she brought her hand up to her lips, her eyes down to the ground in thought. "You have so many close people, it is hard to work then? Are you always worried?" She knew Evan and Stormy worried over her too, and she didn't want them too. She was trying hard to prove that she could do things but...she also failed at them too. She didn't want to add to anyones burdens either. If Tuck had lots of family to worry about, then she should do her best to make sure he wouldn't worry about her! Oh but then...she'd be worried about him...worrying about her. Pinchmonster Inner monologue of the girl with too much anxiety....

"I ain't upset," Tuck chuckled softly, glancing down at the girl as he shuffled the stack of papers in his hands. "Takes a lot to get me upset, sweetheart, so you ain't ever gotta worry about that, I promise. An' I think you just fine with people. S'okay to be nervous, people get nervous all the time. You doin' just fine." Christ, Tuck just kind of wanted to swoop her up and tell her everything was going to be okay - and he kind of felt like Heidi would feel the same way. Something about the girl just brought out a more protective edge in him. "She real nice. She's a moon, an' she's got the prettiest blue eyes you ever seen." He paused a little when she asked if he was going to marry Heidi. Truth was he'd never really thought about it. This was Deus, after all, and long-term seemed too scary to think about. "I.. maybe if we wasn't on the island, I would. I think that it's good to have someone to care about, you know? Makes you do better at your job - an' my job is protectin' people, so I try and do my best. Evan's a Sun, so he's good at beatin' the s**t out of things. So, I mean, yeah, sometimes it's hard, but at the same time it just makes you wanna do your best. That make sense?" He grinned at her. "An' yeah, got a twin. Don't see her as often as I should, but it's nice knowin' she's close."

Ah he was probably the type like Aro! Nicknames and super friendly, although he did it only because he mistook her for Stormy. She relaxed a little as he seemed to soften to her. She felt a little reassured but this was their first meeting after all and she'd have to get used to him. Like Evan!
"She's a moon too! Both of you are moons! Please be safe on the field okay." Noemi made sure to get that across, suns and moons were at the most danger. Evan and Milo and Chelsea and Jeremy were all suns and it was dangerous for them unless they had good moon partners! "I help out in the infir..infirmary just..just so you know. So if you or your Miss Heidi get hurt? I will help you get all patched up!" She took a moment, "Um Mr. Lex, from life taught me all I know, and I've been learning from other...other nurses too. So...So you can trust me!" She nodded again, "I've become a lot better!" Her hands fluttered up and down.
"S...Sorry! I asked...I asked same question of Sherry and Jake, um...I see in drama...Soap operas? They get married all the time? But I was um, homeschooled, so this Island is first time learning about how people..um..." She like weaved her hands and mashed them together, "Work together? Friends and Best friends and....and...romance.." the last word was whispered, "I am learning how those things are?"
But she saw his point, because she cared a lot about Shu and Oliver and Cee and Milo, and she would do anything to keep them safe. They were her family, but the list didn't stop there and she wanted to keep everyone safe.
"What is like with Twin? Do you guys have..." She pointed her finger to her head, where her brain was before pointing it as his..."Um..Brain connection? Twins have strong brain connection?"

"We look after one another, don't worry 'bout us. You work in the infirmary, that's pretty damn cool. I ain't got a mind for all that s**t, so I'm always happy to meet someone who does. Sounds like you're a hard workin' girl, an' that's important, too." He watched her flutter like a nervous little bird out of the corner of his eye. It was pretty ******** adorable, almost hurt him to talk to her. "Naw, don't be sorry. My mom used to watch them shows, I ain't never been a fan. An' don't worry. You gonna get it all figured out soon enough." It was a ******** shame, Tuck decided, that Deus seemed to collect these sweet and innocent little ******** civilians to do their dirty work for them. It was sad, really ******** sad. "She's real ********' annoying. I dunno. I feel like I'd know if somethin' ever went wrong, wherever she is, you know what I mean? Like, if somethin' happened, I'd know. So yeah, I guess we do got one of them weird brain connection things."

He said not too, but Noemi was a worrier, with just a little too much anxiety. She had 99 problems and 98 of them were made up scenarios in her head that she focused way too much on. "I am! Thank you for the compliment!" She made a small fist pump to herself, because it was starting to show, her efforts were paying off in some way.
"Ah no? Lots of um, Mami said-" she brought her fingers up, "-Drama!- She always watch when Papi didn't have the American football or baseball on. We had more soap then we did sports cause me and papi took care of the farm work and mami took care of the housework!" She nodded, "do you like sports?" She found herself asking more about him after all, since that was the best way to get used to someone.
"O...Oh..." She blinked, lacing her hands, "You and twin do not get along well?" Even with brain connection?
