The battle takes place outside of Trabia Garden in the snowy fields where Yukiko is doing a battle simulation test with her older brother Kal Vicaria. This test will prove if Yukiko is ready for real battle and future missions.
Koyuki Reiko
Alright Yukiko you may begin your test. No holding back from either of you. Magic is allowed along with the use of GF's so be prepared for a tough fight Yukiko. Kal I expect you to make this difficult for her so no slouching around. With that said and done begin the test!
Yukiko was very excited to start her test today. She had been begging her mother to let her prove herself to her that she was ready to do missions like her brother Eisei. Hearing her mother give the go ahead signal Yukiko cheered in joy. "Yay! Lets fight big bro-...." Her excitement was replaced with confusion. When she looked at Kal she realized he was laying down in the snow like he was sleeping. She quickly ran over and pounced on him to wake him up. "Your not suppose to be sleeping! We are fighting remember?! Wake up Kal!" She would continuously nag at Kal till he got up from the snow and showed that he was ready to fight. She had been waiting for her chance to prove herself and Kal seemed willing to do this but it was frustrating to see him not take it seriously. She was determined to follow in her mother's footsteps so there was no time to waste and she made quite the effort to get Kal off the ground.

It was nice out...if you managed to forget that snow was all over the place and the fact that it was freezing sorceress tits out here. Not that it seemed to bother Kal, even though it did. He laid underneath a tree with his back against the trunk of it, just in the right spot where it was dry beneath him. he knew that his little sister was going to be coming out here for her test, and their mother had collectively agreed that Kal should be the one to do it for reasons hitherto and unknown. It was confirmed especially when he could hear their mother's voice over the intercom, giving out the rules and blah, blah, blah, blah.
Kal knew that Yuki was close too. Her footsteps romped throughout the quiet of the area and he simply sat in waiting, his breath showing as it escaped the confines of his mouth. When she would find him, his arms were crossed and he still remained in his normal attire. She knew that generally, Kal did not have that many issues with the cold and it appeared that he wasn't prepared, his arms were crossed into his jacket to keep him warm, his swords remained in their sheaths by his hip. But as soon as his mother gave the okay, Kal knew that it was time to actually take this a little seriously. Not a whole lot but seriously enough.
If not for the fact that he wanted to make sure his darling sister was ready for the big world, he also wanted to give at least a little respect towards her...and rub their brother's nose in it. And if their half brother was here, his nose in it too. He didn't train much in front of people, and he really didn't think he was particularly any good but he'd at least do what he could. It would actually be one of the first duals he'd ever done...which seems odd when he thought about it. It was when his sister presumed that he was not aware of the situation was her first mistake.
He had been resting, yes. But that was before his mother had begun the fight. Second, Yuki needed to be aware of everything during a mission, no matter what it may appear to be. And this was mistake number one for her...or rather, lesson one. It was lightning quick as well, almost immediately as Yuki jumped at him, Kal's eyes shot open as his hand revealed a pistol and placed it up against her stomach as his left hand wrapped around her, holding the girl close and not letting her budge. "Point deduction, failure to identify trap. Never trust anything that you see while on the field. Just like this." His voice was soft, almost as if he were tired or bored but with a subtle hint of seriousness and...condescending?
Pushing her away, he sheathed his pistol and stood about six feet away from his sister, watching her moves as he stood almost nonchalantly, his muscles however, being tight to respond when necessary. One hand was on a blade but the other was clenched in a fist, almost like he was asking for his sister to choose which way they would begin. If she went guns...well...Kal was not going to place nice.
Yukiko was really surprised that Kal was faking taking a nap. She was so used to him being lazy and not taking things seriously that the fact he was faking it seemed very unlikely but her intuition was wrong considering Kal had a revolver up against her. She gave a pout like expression and then as Kal shoved her back she knew now that he would take this seriously. She gave a grin now, she was ready to fight her big brother. She needed to prove not only to her mother, but to herself that she was ready for the real deal. Kal hinted to her if she wished to start with guns or blades first and thinking on it she began to create situations in her head about what would likely be better which honestly took less than a few seconds for her to decide. She held onto her assault rifle tightly and nodded to her big brother to say she was ready, and as soon as she did she quickly began to fire right at Kal while also running to the side to avoid his gunfire should he do so in response. This is where she was going to be serious for the rest of the fight. The cute little sister no longer showed itself. It was replaced with a more determined and strong willed sister. At least that was how she viewed herself.

"Slow." As soon as Yuki started firing, the spell would hit her to inhibit her movements. Kal was already fast without haste so he didn't see the use in using another support spell just yet. It was as soon as she fired, one of Kal's Snakeheads were out, shooting three bullets in an arc, each placed almost with unsettling care in front of his sister's path before he himself rolled. There were two ways that he could think of to get out of this situation, and he knew that currently, this was the only method for the moment...but given time...
He rolled out of the way of his sister's bullets and continued out of the roll, running straight from the direction he rose from and kept his eyes on his sister as he examined her movements. "Point for initiation of conflict."
Feeling the effects of slow suddenly casted upon her she had no choice but to use her spells immediately. "Haste!" Her movement was then boosted back up to her normal speed allowing her to get enough time to avoid Kal's bullets. She pushed back on her legs and threw herself to the ground. Getting back up immediately she turned to face Kal again firing about ten more bullets into his direction. To get things more interesting she needed another ability to top everything off but she needed an opening to use it. Seeing as Kal wouldn't likely give her one she needed to force him into it. She would have to be patient though and wait for that chance. For now she had to keep moving, and that was what she did. She began to sprint to the left and kept her eyes fixated on Kal. Once he moved she would make her counter move.

"Haste." And now he was quicker, and he presumed that she used her only haste spell. "Point for quicktime reaction." And it was at that moment as he dodged her last bullets, he shot, just as she finished as well. The bullets flew by him as he ran diagonally towards her, this time shooting at her. But more towards her gun. She had just finished reacting to the kick the gun had in her hands, and if the bullets came at her, just then, she might not have the best of reaction time. But he knew that he would have an easier time fighting her up close. Two more bullets shot out through the air to strike her gun and render it useless by striking near the firing mechanism. It was odd that he still seemed nonchalant about this entire thing, as if he were merely putting ten percent into this entire thing, if that. But he was progressively getting closer, and he knew that his sister would have to reload quickly. Bullets did NOT last forever.
She knew her brother was clever but this would be something she wasn't quite use too. He used haste to counter her gunfire and made it more difficult to become a target but did he make the mistake of trying to get closer to her and attempting to break her gun? She thought so. That gun was her pride and joy. She loved that thing more than anything. There was no way she would allow her gun to break. "Haste!" She said again. She now had the opportunity to get out of the way of the bullets. She rolled to the right away from the bullets path and now with her brother closing in on her she would give him something to worry about. Smirking she quickly raised her rifle and fired the shotgun attachment towards him and then charged right back after him. If he wanted to be close to her she'd have no issues with it.

Got you. As soon as his sister dodged once more and raised her gun, Kal tensed as he ran, cutting towards her just as the gun came to full aim. "Earth." Kal did not have an affinity for magic. But he had practiced enough it certainly seemed like he did. And his sister was about to see the results with such a simple spell. Immediately as he spoke the words, the earth between them rose in a wall, receiving the shotgun shells just as soon as Yukiko fired. And as the wall came up, Kal jumped, grasping the wall and flipping over his sister just as she fired, his own two revolvers out. In the midst of the flip, as Kal faced his sister's back, he shot four rounds, two from each gun. Two were aimed for her kidneys and two aimed for her thighs to render her immobile. The move itself had been quick and precise.
But what none knew was the fact that he was doing it not only for his sister to learn...but he was rubbing it in his brother's face, Kal knowing that the little s**t was watching. And perhaps to his mother to show that he wasn't completely useless...even though he still wasn't putting a great deal of effort into it. But the swordsman landed after the flip, kneeling to where his sister was, his guns still aimed as he prepared for retaliation. Keep up, sister.
Yuki was surprised with the sudden wall of earth from the ground which made her stop for a second but once she saw Kal jump from it she began immediately to move. She knew that if she stayed still she would get shot by him. Hearing the gunshots behind her she knew she had only a little bit of time before the bullets made their impact. Turning herself around and seeing the bullets coming towards her she, if by just a reaction, shouted another spell. "Water!" This time a large bubble of water lifted right in front of her and stopped the bullets from hitting her, but that wasn't all. There was another mass of water forming around Kal as well. Yuki smiled a little because she had to thank her skill of magic for that. Without being a bit more magically tuned she wouldn't of been able to do such a thing. Taking the chance now to abuse the fact that the water would likely slow Kal down Yuki unloaded the last of her clip at Kal hoping that this would end the test.

Eisei Reiko
Eisei stood by his mother and watched as the fight progressed. He seemed surprise by how well his sister was doing considering this was a more serious fight than anything Yuki had ever done. Sure fighting monsters was tough but fighting humans was tougher. Though he did notice that Kal was being a bit of a show off which was pretty much unimpressive in his opinion. A man who wastes his time showing off rather than fighting wasn't really worth his time. However Yuki was worth it because of the fact that she did take the fight seriously and he could tell that she was doing her best to win."She's grown a lot since she began her training. Do you think she's ready for a real mission?"
Koyuki Reiko
It was true that Yuki had grown a lot since her training but the whole point to this test was to see if she was capable of holding her own if it came to fighting someone of equal or more advanced skills than her own. This wasn't a test of winning, this was a test of survival. She wanted to know if her daughter was capable enough to survive a encounter should she need to run. "It's too early to tell. So far she is able to think out of a situation but for how long can she keep that up? If she can't find herself out of a situation I want to know what she will do in order to get out of it."
Well then. "Earth." She was still in front of the wall that he had made. And thus was her mistake. Immediately, a tighter wall than before appeared, grinding against the other wall as it rose in the air to trap Yukiko in it's tight grip, The water wouldn't be an issue. Just as it started to form, Kal darted through it, getting slightly wet before it could fully form into what his sister had intended. Using water to trap is a very poor choice, Yukiko. He thought, Too malleable...unless you freeze it. It was then that he pointed his revolvers, waiting and if she dodged, he shot at her...if she did get trapped...he would wait to see how she reacted and tried to escape. Would she call him this early? if she summoned him...Kal would not waste a moment to end the fight...on his own terms.
Yuki did not anticipate Kal would have a second earth spell and the fact that he did not get fazed by the water spell was annoying. "Dammit! This is getting nowhere. I need to get out of this before Kal takes advantage of this." Yuki did have a plan actually. She knew that Kal would attack if she tried to dodge the earth spell, so instead she got another idea. Kal expected her to either get trapped or dodge the spell but in fact she waited for the right moment. Once the spell began to force the earth to rise up Yuki activated her left arm blade and slammed it up against the rising wall and it stuck inside allowing her to be lifted off the ground and pull herself on top of the new structure it had created. Now this would give her the time she needed. She immediate unhooked her shotgun attachment and gun clip and reloaded the rifle, and equipped her grenade launcher attachment with a already loaded grenade inside. "Lets see how you like this brother." She then immediately turned to the edge of the structure and fired her rifle at Kal sending about a small burst of seven bullets. Now she had the height advantage and Kal would need to get up here in order to get to her now, unless he was capable of breaking the structure, which would be bad for her.

"Earth." It was his last one but it would probably be all that he needed. As soon as he saw his sister begin to climb out of the structure's confines like he had intended, the would be building erupted in an array of stone shrapnel, the earth spell making the building erupt like a grenade. And his sister was right on top of it, rendering what she had planned to be rather useless. And he was right on top of her, moving quickly with his revolvers out, moving in silently like a predator hunting the wounded deer. You'd better change tactics, Sister. Mother is watching and doing the same thing won't help you. He knew there was more to her than just guns...but then again, this was his kind of area...as was most.
Another earth spell had been casted and that was more than annoying. "Again?! Seriously brother did you stack all your spells into earth?!" She thought in frustration though that didn't help as her structure had been erupted from beneath her sending her flying down to the ground. The impact hurt that was for sure but she wasn't done yet. She may not of been able to see Kal but she knew he was right on top of her. He had been keeping the same tactic this entire fight and she knew he'd be as close to her as he possibly could. As soon as she heard him get close enough through the steps of snow she immediately turned around onto her back and just as she predicted he was right there. She shouted immediately with another spell. "Sleep!" It was then that the stars that signified the sleep spell appeared and went towards Kal, and it wasn't just one sleep spell it was two of them. That would give him a tough time to dodge them since he was so up close to her. Whether or not he took the chance to dodge she immediately rolled back on to her feet and quickly prepared herself for his next attack.

"Summon me, pup. That's what you get for getting cocky." Kal did not answer back but did concentrate as the sleep spell hit him, only acknowledging the attempt as a lucky shot. Which it was, but he knew that it WAS his sister and that members of this family tended to be better than the average trainee. She was always full of surprises, and Kal had underestimated her. The first and last time he would do that. Now you won't have to deal with me for a while, but something worse. And that's when sleep hit him, right as a ball of condensed red energy struck the ground next to Yukiko, erupting like a grenade. The energy itself was hot just to be near, and the detonation would be just as hot, if not hotter than a branding iron.
It was then that a roar erupted throughout the snowy fields, able to reach the observation booth where Koyuki and Eisei stood to watch. It would be the first time that any had the chance to see one of Kal's Guardian Forces other than Koyuki. The roar itself seemed to reverberate but its source was not to be found. It was then, that something akin to a shadow rushed around Yukiko without warning, almost impossible to obtain a full grasp of at the velocity it traveled. And in a moment, Kal was there and then he was gone, the shadow seeming to engulf the swordsman as it traversed, finally stopping to reveal its full form. And what a terrifying sight it was. The Wolf of War, Enkidu, ravager of battlefields and the soul of valor, with Kal on its back, some of the numerous tentacles holding onto its companion to keep him from falling during combat such as this.
It was obvious that they had done something like this before. The look in the beast's eyes were nothing to mess around with. It was there to make Yukiko suffer.
