Sweetie was fidgetting, she hadn't seen too much of Dysmas since the dance earlier that year. The weather hadn't really permitted her getting out too much. Not to mention Rais had gotten really mad at all the faun who had gone to the dance. She had known to expect that though, he had forbidden it. It was worth it though, after everything that had happened between Dysmas and herself, Sweetie would have repeated the punishment again for another night like that. Even if she had lost her token.

What few times they had seen one another had been steamy and quite enjoyable. They had gotten to know one another better, and gotten a good night's sleep every time. It seemed like every time they were having a hard time sleeping these little meetings would make it all better. She smiled to herself, glad to have been making the trip to his home. It wasn't like he could make the trip to hers. Just the thought of the sleep she would get after this... It made her all shivery and warm. That island had done her a serious favor, even if she hadn't liked it at first.

With these thoughts in mind, Sweetie continued on the trek to meet with her beau. It was still a distance off, but she couldn't help but be excited about it. A large smile was plastered on her face by the time she arrived to a now familiar home. Sure, the embarrassing part was yet to come, but it would be over soon enough and she wouldn't have to worry about that too long. His mom was a really nice lady and she didn't seem to judge Sweetie too harshly for conditions out of her control. The fauny shook her head of the thought and continued on. It wasn't too much further anyways, she could see the house just a couple dozen yards in front of her.

Knock Knock!

Sweetie rapped her knuckles against the front door of Dysmas' home, waiting patiently for someone to answer. She may have been welcome, but that was no excuse to not be polite.

User ImageWhen Trager heard the door she was the first one there, being that she was already in the common room near the entrance. She wasn't sure who would be knocking, but when she opened the door and saw Sweetie Drops standing there she really wasn't all the surprised. "Oh Sweetie, welcome back." Trager said with a warm, maternal smile. Perhaps she should be more critical of the woman trying to steal away one of her sons, but really she had no issue with it. Trager was just happy that both of her sons were having better luck in the love department then she was.

Trager wasn't entirely sure why Sweetie didn't just stay here. It was at least a decent walk to the tree from her home. It wasn't her place to butt into something like that though. Trager ushered Sweetie in, "You know where to find him." she said with a chuckle. Perhaps it was time Dysmas got a place of his own really... oh well she'd have that talk with him another time. As it stood, it was looking like a good time for her to go visit the trading post so that she didn't have to think about the sort of trouble her son might be getting into just a thin wall away.

Despite Trager's suggestion that Dysmas would be in his room, at the sound of the knock his hopeful heart had already bounded into the common room and he was standing just a short distance behind Trager with Sweetie in clear view. He smiled softly as he began to feel light inside. "Sweetie..." Dysmas breathed out in contentment, glad that it was her he was seeing at the door.

It felt like it had been way too long since he had seen her. The male wished that he could go to the tree and call for her when he missed her as desperately as he did right now. He hardly felt comfortable with that though, he wasn't a faun... and he wasn't really anything else either. It went poorly in his mind every time he thought of it, with the worst possible result being that he would never see her again.

The only thing that got his mind off Sweetie when he pined for her was the freeing dip into the lake, where all the weight was lifted from him and he just felt... empty. Saying goodbye to her was harder each and every time they parted ways. "Hey mom, see you later." Dysmas said, giving his mom a look that begged for privacy as he held out his hand to Sweetie, intending on dragging her back to his room.

He never got over the awkwardness of being in his mom's house with his girlfriend. It made him feel like a child and it was embarrassing every time even if his mom didn't make a big deal about it. Whenever Trager did say something... that boy never flew so quickly away from a scene.

Sweetie's smile gained it's luster finally when she spotted Dysmas. Sure, she'd been smiling like a fool the entire way to his house, but that didn't mean it was fully genuine. "Hi Ma'am." She offered, trying to be polite but quick. "See you later?" Sweetie nodded to Trager, stepping aside to all but jump into Dysmas' arms.

"Dysmas!" Sweetie squeaked, ecstatic to see him again. She decided to make the trip out here more often, missing him like this was madness. Something had to change, and this was the easiest method. She was sure Trager wouldn't mind having her more often. "It's so good to see you again." The faun was almost literally bouncing with excitement. Unable to contain it anymore, she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down a bit for a hug. Short fauny was short.

Dysmas put his hand to her cheek stroking the side of her face just before she pulled him into a hug. The tall, slender fellow leaned down to embrace her. His brown eyes quickly glanced behind Sweetie as he heard the door shut, Trager would be gone for at least a few hours then, good.

Now that his mother was gone all things restraining himself were gone and Dysmas now felt comfortable pulling Sweetie into a kiss. Her skin would instantly become coated in the white diamond skin that, at least, Dysmas had gotten used too. It still made him smile into the kiss. However, it just didn't feel as good to touch diamonds as it did to touch her smooth skin. Dysmas pulled away from the kiss long enough to give a good hard knock on Sweetie's new diamond skin with his fist. She wouldn't even feel it because of the coating, and the hit was just enough to shatter it so that her skin would be its sweet, soft, normal self until his ability recharged.

Sweetie blushed the second their lips touched, realizing they were alone. Followed by the now familiar feeling of not really feeling him anymore. At least, until the only violent part of their relationship occurred and the diamond skin he had just created on her shattered and fell.

"Mmm. No matter how many times we do that, it still feels strange to not feel you there." Blue eyes looked up at him, quite happy to be in his arms. She may have been short and stocky, but it was nice to bury her face into his torso. It was only about as high as her head would get if he didn't bend down to be at her level. Just one of the many things she really liked about him. Releasing a small amount of breath she didn't know she was holding, Sweetie stood on the tips of her hooves, looking up at him to kiss Dysmas again.

"I know... I'm sorry." His voice was a hoarse whisper as he did his best to reign in his hormones that were now on edge now that the diamond skin was gone. He rubbed her shoulder where he had hit her. Dysmas still felt bad about it, even knowing that it didn't actually hurt her, he wasn't a particular violent person. It had only been through experimentation that they had figured out that would get rid of it instead of it disappearing on its own in a few hours.

Dysmas gave Sweetie another soft smile as she looked up at him, waiting for him to close the distance to kiss her. The male obliged and gave her a quick peck and then quickly pulled back with a boyish smirk. "Come on, lets go to my room..." He said as he grabbed both her hands and led her to his room, walking backwards so that he didn't have to take his eyes off of her. Pretty much all their time spent together was locked away in his room, but with the whole 'long distance' relationship, he wouldn't have it any other way.

Sweetie shook her head. "Don't apologize for that Dysmas. You can't help it." The female was mostly just happy that it took some time for it to happen again. He was so nice and warm, though coming in from the heat out there, she probably was too, it was nice to feel his skin against her own.

"You do know how to woo a girl." She laughed, following him to his room. As his brown eyes never left hers, her own eyes locked onto his. Sweetie was suddenly glad that Trager had left. Most of their time was spent in his room, and while so far the most that happened in there was some very steamy make-out sessions, she didn't feel quite comfortable knowing any gasps, squeaks, squeals, laughs, or giggles, or really any other noise they may make could be heard. "Did you change something in here?" She asked, looking around his room. It was so familiar, but it always seemed different when she entered after these really long breaks.

Dysmas couldn't stop smiling for a second as he led her until he felt his bed pushed against the back of his legs. He took his eyes off her for only a second to glance around the room, thinking if anything had changed since she had last been here. "Well... this pillow is usually at..." Dysmas paused and reached for the pillow, tilting it slightly... "this angle..." he was just trying to be funny and was fairly certain the pillow was going to get smooshed into a completely different angle here in a few moments.

His eyes quickly snapped back to hers, they had been off her for too long. "I suppose I might have a new blanket..." his voice trailed off as he took in the beautiful fauny before him. Trager was always picking up new things at the trading post, but right now none of it mattered. Dysmas sat his butt on the edge of the bed and pulled Sweetie close to him. With him sitting and her still standing he was actually slightly shorter than her for once. "I've missed you so much..." Dysmas sighed.

Sweetie couldn't help but laugh. Sure, the pillow was going to get shoved away soon enough, and it probably wasn't the change she thought she had noticed. It was still funny.

"I missed you too Dysmas." The reality of the time they'd just spent apart hit the fauny all at once. It wasn't enough to ruin the happy mood she'd been experiencing since seeing him, but it was enough to bring tears to her eyes. "Next time won't be as long.. We can't keep doing this to ourselves." She shook her head, trying to clear the sadness away. This was a time to be happy, not to realize how bad he must feel when she has to return to the tree.

"No... there really isn't any reason we should do this to ourselves." Dysmas said, pausing for a moment to be more serious. Seriousness wasn't a feeling that lasted long when he was this close to Sweetie. He knew they needed to figure out a solution to this, but right now he needed her more than anything else and it could wait. Dysmas tried to tug her closer to the bed, his breath felt shallow and his head felt light as he focused entirely on her and wanting to be as close to Sweetie Drops as possible in this moment.

Feeling the insistence of his tug, Sweetie took that half step closer to him, forgetting any serious discussion they needed to have. It could always wait for later. She smiled, wrapping her arms around his neck. While she liked being so much shorter than him, it was nice to know that there were times when he was almost eye level with her.

Lightheaded with glee, Sweetie pressed her lips against his, having decided she couldn't wait to touch him any longer. Smiling again, the faun was leaning as much weight on him as she dared, trying not to knock him over.

Dysmas didn't care, let her knock him over, she already knocked him off his feet just by existing. He let himself fall back onto the bed, being sure to take Sweetie with him. The male was completely content and whole now that they were locked in each other's embrace.

It felt like nothing else in the world mattered right now. Until his mind was interrupted by the thought of it all ending when they had to say goodbye. He pulled back for just a moment, propping himself up on his elbow. "I really should get my own place... you should come with me." Dysmas said very boldly. His eyes looked deep into hers, his heart beginning to race in a different manner then it had been previously, now fearful of what her reaction might be to his sudden suggestion.

She squeaked, falling atop him. Sweetie couldn't help but laugh at it. She did shift herself off to the side enough to not squish him entirely, but still keep herself pressed against him. She loved the way his smooth skin felt against the fine fur of her body.

And for a while, that was all she cared about. The way they felt together. It was amazing, beyond words for the young faun. And then he pulled back and started talking about a house. "Where would we go?" She asked, already including herself into it. Of course she would go with him, her world wasn't right if Dysmas wasn't there. "Or well.. Where will we go?" The faun changed the question. It wasn't a matter of would, that suggested they might not go. It was really a matter of where they wanted to live. A home would have to be constructed, a means of survival would have to be attained. It was a lot to plan. Certainly would take even more time to act.

Dysmas chuckled when he heard his sweet lady squeak, she was so adorable.

He was also ready to smack himself in the face, now that he was thinking about what he just asked her. He was asking Sweetie to leave her home in the tree, the fauny that she had arrived on Telrunya with, everything. It was different to want to strike out on his own, he was asking her to leave everything behind. Dysmas gulped, now even more nervous.

When she asked him where they would go, to him, it sounded like she doubted it was even possible. Thankfully she changed her wording and Dysmas could breathe. "Maybe a little closer to the tree, but still close to the water? I haven't even really thought about it... but I really should get a place of my own, and I would rather have you come with me... so that we don't have to say goodbye anymore..." Dysmas shied up at that, his eyes casting down.

Her decision on it had been made a while ago. Back when she had decided to make the journey out to his home more often. There wasn't really a question about it. He completed her. "So a nice beach between here and there? I know of a few of them we could live on." Sweetie offered, gently reaching out to caress his cheek.

"We won't have to say goodbye too much longer Dysmas. This long distance thing is misery incarnate. And madness to boot! We've lived together once before as strangers. We can live together again, and this time as more than friends." Sweetie was sure she was over talking it. Moving in with him, even if it was a while off, was a big step for her. She'd be leaving the princesses behind, and everything she had come to know about the island. Was this life he was asking for worth it? Or a better question, why did she feel the need to think about it? This land had been her home for a number of seasons now, but she had never really felt at home until Dysmas had stumbled into her life. Or well, crashed on a boat into her life.

"Of course I'll come with you Dysmas."
