Burtu hadn't been in Mirro te Weavia all that long, by his estimation--a couple weeks, and while that was the longest period of his life so far, plenty of other B'alam had been living here longer. Much longer! Okay, so, maybe, five. Anyway. Point is. He had expected that he would need several weeks to make friends and generally feel like this place was his home, but to his surprise, it had felt like home right off the bat. The water of the lake, the waterfall, the cliffs towering over the lake to direct water to return again to its heart. Beautiful. Burtu couldn't stop smiling when he saw the sky reflected in the water. The whole world reflected in the water, rock and shore and tree as well as the clouds drifting across the sky. Water was everywhere you looked. Already this place was looking better than where he'd woken up. It was home.Something he had been able to correctly predict was friendship. Since coming here, he'd made precisely one friend, and unfortunately, Tl'iish spent most of his time training at the tannery. Burtu found himself alone most of the time. It didn't feel very good to be so alone. He liked being surrounded by people. He liked meeting them, and making friends. He'd never expected to want to, but here he was. Strange how the world worked out. Mysterious the weft and warp. But hey, there were other B'alam here! Lots of people here to interact and have fun with! He just...needed to find someone who wasn't training or otherwise engaged with work. With that in mind, he kept an open eye and an open mind while watching his tribemates. The deep brown nantill with the brilliant blue markings looked promising.
She didn't look too busy at the moment, but knowing his luck? She'd probably be on her way to training or something. "Good morning!" he said. "I am Burtu. May I have the pleasure of your name?"
