At 20 turns, Vosrik has just about reached his full height, standing a little under six feet. He is lean and muscular, his body toned from his years as a candidate. He is surprisingly pale for someone who spends as much time outside as he does, and can often be found with a sunburn rather than a tan.

He has bright red hair, that is more wavy than curly. He prefers to keep it about ear length, as he's found that it's most manageable for him there. His roundish almond eyes are a dark green, and are framed by long eye lashes. His face is very angular, sharp, and is capped off by a bright red goatee. He thinks it makes him look more impressive.

As for clothing, Vosrik will wear just about anything. He doesn't really care, as long as it's clean. He prefers not to be barefooted, as he has a tendency to bash his toes on things, and that also hides the fact that his big toe on his right foot doesn't have a toenail.

Personality:
Some might call Vosrik lazy, others unmotivated, and while the second is true, he is not lazy. He just doesn't see why he can't take his time doing things. After all, he'll get it done, eventually, and it's likely to have a better result than if he tried to rush.

He is perfectly content doing whatever his assigned role might be, and sees no reason why he should aim higher. He likes where he is, and in fact, he has no desire for a high rank, as he knows that the higher one goes, the more decisions that they have to make. He has enough trouble doing that as it is, and most of his decisions aren't important ones. He has trouble deciding between options, and is far more comfortable when he doesn't have to worry about getting his choice wrong.

He enjoys helping others, happy to pitch in whenever he's asked to do so. He would love it if everyone was his friend, but Vosrik knows that's incredibly unlikely. Not everyone is going to like him, and that's okay.

Everything's okay. Even when things are going wrong, Vosrik is certain that everything happens for a reason. He's pretty sure that everything will work out, even if the results aren't what he was expecting. He's not bothered when things go wrong, or are unexpected, and is pretty much calm all the time. Even when he's upset or angry. He doesn't enjoy being angry, finding it to be a waste of energy, but on the rare occasions that he can't just let it go, he tends to be sullen and broody. These moods can last anywhere from a day to a month, but usually end up shorter.

It can be hard to tell when Vosrik is passionate about something, as he's not one who goes on and on about the things he likes, but when he finds something that he is interested in, he gets a bit obsessed over it. He will spend hours doing what he can to learn more, whether that means lingering in places that he's not supposed to be in, or, more rarely, actually asking for more information from someone who seems to be knowledgeable, and has been known to temporarily neglect his chores for things that have caught his interest. He does eventually get around to doing them, just not necessarily when he was asked to do it. He is especially interested in the stars at the moment, knowing that in the past, that was where they came from. The details about how weren't important to him, but the fact that they had left the stars for Pern, fascinates Volrik.

He has always been more of a night person than a morning one, and he often does more during the hours when he should be in bed. He feels safer in the dark, in the quiet, when everyone is sleeping. It's during these times that he feels free to be himself, to not worry about whether or not he's doing the right thing. He's always done what's expected of him, and he doesn't know if that's really what he wants to be doing.

History:
A weyrbrat, Vosrik was born to V'ron of Brown Blakarth and Messelin of Green Mumunyeth. They were closer than most rider families, and they often spent time together. He was the third child of four, with twin older sisters, and a much younger brother. He was twelve when his sisters both impressed, the first hatching that he was old enough to stand for. They both were chosen by bronzes, something that he was rather proud about. He didn't impress but that was okay, there would be more hatchings.

After their dragons had grown, and they had graduated from being weyrlings, his sisters transferred out, something that Vosrik was a little confused by at the time. He would figure out why they chose to eventually, and once he did, understood completely. He wanted the best for them too, and if that meant leaving, as long as they were happy, he was fine with it. Plus he still had a little brother to keep watch over.

He would stand for many more hatchings, always being passed over for others, but he never let it get him down. If there was a dragon for him, then there was a dragon for him, and if not, well, it wasn't like there was anything he could do about it. Things would work out.

He could have cared less about the meeting, but his sisters were coming in from Igen, and he was looking forward to seeing them again. Perhaps not as much as Vesresh, but then again, they weren't legends to him. Just his big sisters. They had done well for themselves, being wingseconds, and he was sure that they would end up with a wing eventually, once they had more experience, but then, their happy reunion was cut short.

People attacked, striking out at any in the area, and his sister pulled him out, the four of them forcing their way to safety. They made it to the twins' bronzes, him with one sister, and Vesresh with the other. There were a few others with them as well, but before long, they were forced into the air, and traveling between, hopefully to safety.

But somehow, things got mixed up, and when they exited between, something was off. This was not their home, not their time, but they were safe. For now. He is not alone in the future, but he cannot help but be worried for his family. He'll be fine, but he hopes that his little brother's chances to impress haven't been left in the past.
