There was one important reason that would draw a shinny Munna child into the large city. It was always under the cover of darkness is when most in the town would sleep and it was when the little Munna could feed. He was always so hungry because he was only able to eat once a day. So he always tried to fill up when he could. He was ready for a good night of feeding. And from all the dreams he could smell and see it seemed like it would be a very good night.
Koujen wanted threw the streets finding he was able to be picky tonight so he was looking for a really tasty dream. He wandered threw the night with no light.

It had been a nightmare. Silly, really. Riley couldn't help feeling like he needed to move though. In his dream, he'd been trapped in the earth as large versions of his family looming menacingly toward him, making him feel even smaller. He'd wanted to run, but his legs from the knee down were trapped. When the first dark finger had touched his face, he'd woken up sharply, feeling as though his legs were still stuck
The first thing he did was wake his trainer to tell him about it. Of course, still being young, that sent little Thomas into a fright. Feeling bad as the boy ran to his parents for comfort, Riley had left the house. The dark was scary, but he had his glowing ears and tail to help, and it was better than staying in the house. Besides, the closer he got to town, the more his eyes adjusted to the darkness. He knew someone who was usually up late. Maybe they would give him a snack?
When he got to the house, he was disappointed to see the lights of the house all extinguished. Darn. Now what?

Koujen could have his pick of dreams that night. It seemed that most people in town were already asleep and dreaming away. With so many choices it was almost hard to pick just one. Though for once in a town trip something else caught the shiny's munna's bad eyes. A strange moving glow in the night was strangely drawing. He had never seen something like that. It seemed to be three tube like glowing things moving in the same direction both as one and yet not in the same manner. This spiked the gentle male's interest.
He could not tell that the three glowing rods were actually attached to another child. But when the glows stopped at a house Koujen ducked behind a corner and peeked around the edge of it. What were they. They could not be dreams...for dreams were different colors and moved in a completely different manner. He readjusted his glasses and then slowly started to move closer. Maybe they were some other kind of dream...maybe they were as tasty as the soft hypnotic blue color would suggest.

He didn't want to look like he was stalking through the town. Someone might mistake him for a burglar! It'd happened before... that had been a terrifying night, until his friend had helped him.
Tail giving a flick, he reached back to grab it for the comfort of its light. Now what would he do? He didn't want to linger in this dark night. He turned away from the house and headed down the street. Maybe he should just go back home...
He froze when he saw a pale form ahead. What was-?!

Koujen squinted his bad eyes as something the the dark seemed to grab the lower of the three glows. It was hard to see in the darkness of the night but from what he could see it looked like the glows were part of a body. Well that made more sense than a strange dream or physic wisp. But this realization was both more interesting and more disappointing at once. It was not going to be a new tasty flavor and well maybe it was more competition of dreams.
The movement quickly stopped and it caused the Muna to tilt his head. He was not aware that he could be possibility startling with his pale skin in the dark night. He tried to give a calming smile and he lifted a hand up to give a wave. With the motion he added a soft "Hi" trying to sound friendly enough. It would not be good after all for those who were dreaming to be woken up with someone screaming and running about town.

Riley stared with wide eyes at the pale form. What was- oh gods, it was reaching for him!
He took a step back before his ears perked at the soft voice. Who-? "Umm... hello?" he squeaked out, clutching tight to his tail. "Are.. are you friendly?"

Koujen watched as the other figure stepped back a bit and those glowing tips perked up. He tilted his head a bit more at the question before tilting it the other way in thought. "Friendly? Yes I would say I am friendly." He spoke more evenly and a bit louder now, still smiling softly. "Are you a friendly little glowing thing?"
He wondered if the other would try and steal the dreams still but it was a bit soon to just come out and ask.

Eyes still locked on the pale shape, his ears twitched again at the reply. "Oh! That's good! I'm glad to hear that." With the same question returned to him, he couldn't help giggling. "Yeah, I'm friendly, too." He looked down at himself and released his tail. "I don't glow all over; just the little bit. The rest of me's a riolu. I'm a Riley! Er- I mean, my name's Riley. ....What are you?" The pale shape in the shadows gave him no clue at to whom he was addressing. It was quite confusing, actually. Like talking to a cloud in the night. Too far away and shrouded to see clearly. Yet, he'd stopped being afraid.

Each time the other moved it was only the glows that Koujen's eyes could focus on. He really needed to steal some stronger prescription glasses. But at least the feminine ones he had were better than nothing though most things were still blurry. He was glad to hear that the glow sounded more relaxed now and the voice did sound so much more friendly than the scared tones of earlier. A riolu and a Riley. He had seen a riolu before running around but he could not say he had ever seen a Riley. Maybe that was what caused the pretty glows. Ah well it was quickly cleared up that a Riley was not really a thing but a name so if the name was Riley it figured that he was also a Riley. This odd though brought a smile to the shiny munna's face and a bit of a giggle.
"Oh I was a Munna. I guess I am not so Munna like any more." he said pursing his lips under his large nose. "I also a Koujen, like you are a Riley." he said trying to be playful even if under his baggy shirt his stomach grumbled at him from stopping the hunt for food. But friends were just as good as food and they could distract very well from the hunger. "Does a Riley come out often at night?" He asked moving a bit closer trying to picture the Riolu shape with the glows at certain points.

Riley cocked his head. A munna? He wasn't certain he knew what that was. It sounded sweet though. "Koujen," he repeated with a little smile. Okay, so, the shape in the shadows wasn't so bad.
Biting his lip, he gave his head a small shake. "No, not usually. I would usually be asleep right now. A.. bad dream woke me up though." He squinted at the form ahead. "What about you? Are you always out at night?"

Koujen did like hearing his name from a mouth other than his own. It was so nice that he was not having to talk to himself. He looked down and frowned a bit as his new acquaintance said he was not normally out at night and he was only out because of bad dreams. "Oh no I am sorry you are having bad dreams!" thought bad dreams were not the worst things to eat. He could totally help Riley with the bad dreams, and the little Riolu would never remember having them.
However that offer could wait for a bit. He gave a nod, "Oh yes I like being out at night. I sleep a lot during the day." He giggled, "Well actually I sleep at anytime." he smiles, "I am good luck to sleep next too when you are having bad dreams." he said softly trying to gently suggest his offer without just saying it. Most people got nervous if he just came out and said I want to eat your dreams.

Dropping his gaze, Riley shrugged. "I guess it's not unusual for me, but it's not usual either." He pouted in confusion at his own words. If not unusual, and not usual, then what was it?
Of course, Koujen's continued chatting pulled him back from such thoughts. He liked being out at night? But, the night was so scary... Good luck? Well, that immediately got Riley's attention. "You mean.. you keep the bad dreams away? Why? How?"

Koujen raised a brow trying to follow Riley's logic. It was both unusual and usual? How strange. Though he guessed it could work out to being both. Stranger things had been known to happen.
Koujen gave a nod and smiled brightly, "Yes in deed. I can keep bad dreams away. Um...do you really want to know how I keep the bad dreams away? I don't want to scare you. I can take the dreams away so you don't have to have them. If you sleep near me I can keep any bad dream from you. It does not hurt at all. At least I have never heard of it hurting anyone. You just won't remember ever dreaming." We can give it a try if you like." he offered gently.

Riley cocked his head. "Why would you doing something nice for me be scary?" Still, he bit his lip. He'd never heard of a person who could keep bad dreams away. It was like he was a live dreamcatcher! "I.. if you're sure it won't hurt... I don't like bad dreams. I'll try."

Koujen shook his head not wanting to worry Riley by saying he ate dreams, "Well some people don't like sleeping next to strangers. But we know each other so we are friends right?" He gave a soft smile hopping that would be a good enough explanation. "Oh it won't hurt and you just won't remember the bad dreams and you won't have to be scared. I promise it will be alright and you can sleep with no bad dreams." He looked around, "We need to find a safe place for you to sleep though." Were there any good places to sleep in the city?
