The afternoon was growing late, the shadows long over empty streets and sidewalks and everything was quiet. Soft footfalls was the only sound as a cloaked figure made her way towards a specific house, a covered bundle of something clutched in her arms. She would stop now and then to look around, make sure she wasn't followed and then she would continue on her way. When she finally found the house she was looking for, she approached the door and knocked on it.

Light stared down at the small robot's gears as he struggled to fix it. He sat back in his chair with a weary sigh, rubbing his tired eyes. Perhaps he should go to bed early tonight. Just a few more hours and he'd stop. Bending back to work, the doctor was suddenly startled by a knock on his door. He certainly hadn't been expecting anyone. Easing himself out of the chair, the elder audio shuffled to answer it. It took a bit longer than usual. He must have been sitting at that lab table longer than he thought. Despite the aches, Light put on a large smile as he opened the door. "Rose! What an unexpected surprise! Come in, my dear!" the doctor prompted cheerfully, stepping out of the doorway.

When the door open, the female bot reached up and pulled the hood off her head, smiling warmly at the sight of her creator, "Good evening Professor." she said, walking inside when he invited her in and turning to him when he closed the door, "I know it is unexpected, but I wanted to drop by and give you something." she said, noting the slight feeling of tiredness about him.

"Something for me?" Light asked, startled. Perhaps a broken part she needed repaired?

She looked around, finding an empty table and went over to it, setting down what she was carrying and pulling off the cloth. It was a pot, medium in size with a busy, green fern with a few lightly colored flowers here and there. "I just finished growing this one and it was such a success that I wanted you to be the first to have one before I start trying to rejuvenate the park." she said, turning to face him, clutching her hands in front of her, "It's my small way of saying thank you for making me and for pointing me in the right direction to start to have things grow."

The doctor's eyes watered as a smile split his tired face. "Oh Rose, my girl, it's magnificent! And look how quickly it has grown! I am so proud of you." He gave her a quick but heartfelt hug before pulling away to grin at her again. "We'll have a vibrant park in no time!" It would be wonderful. Families would have a peaceful place to go to forget the troubles and oppression they suffered under. Pups could play among the flowers and perhaps he could build a few things to play on. Surely Wily and the robot masters wouldn't bother to destroy such a project as this. At least he hoped so. Perhaps he should speak with Blues later on the subject and ask him to keep any sniper patrols from the area.

Rose was surprised by the hug, but she didn't tense up or flinch, she just hugged him back, happy he seemed so happy with his gift. She looked to the plant and ran her finger tips along the leaves, "I hope so...I am not quite ready yet, the trees I am growing are still young, though I am doing my best to speed up their growth without shocking their systems. Just so much to do, but....it will be ready, at least I hope so."
She shook her head to stop herself from frowning, "This one you shouldn't have to worry about watering so much, at least once a week and a little bit of water keeps it sustained and when the flowers bloom fully, the scent won't be overwhelming, though if you keep your window open, don't be surprised if bees start flying in."
"I've had help trying to bring about a growing bee population, even harvesting their honey, I should bring you a few jars!" she said, obviously rambling now that she was on her favorite subject.

Light smiled, letting Rose ramble. "Bees? An excellent idea." He placed the fern on a sill by the window, ensuring it would get plenty of sunlight. "I'm sure they'll help spread the flower pollen as well."

Her smile started to fade as she rubbed at her arm, suddenly withdrawing, "Yes, if was farmland, they even help there, bees help alot." she said, her voice suddenly going soft. "....Professor, there is so much to do and I feel I won't be able to really at least bring the park back to life, much less the forest, even though I am trying. I have someone helping me, but....I don't know if I can go to the other Citizens because of what happened at the tower and I am too....scared to go to the other masters because....well, they scare me." she said, looking ashamed at that admittance.
"I wasn't there when the rescue happened for the General, I don't like violence, even though death is part of nature to keep things going. I guess I just....well...I'm just scared they will know I wasn't there and try to kill me." she said with a weak shrug.

Light shook his head slowly, a somewhat sad smile now gracing his features. "The rebels at the tower were misguided. They blamed all robots, along with Doctor Wily of course, for the destruction of this city. Not all citizens feel that way. Most are likely more afraid of you than you are of them. You only need to show them your good intentions to gain their trust. I will let the rebels know of your reconstruction efforts. They too have members that abhor violence. Perhaps they could come assist you with the park, hmm? As for the robot masters, they rarely venture far from the city's center. You should be fine, but perhaps I can send some bots along with you to keep watch for any trouble that approaches. How does that sound?"

"Perhaps, that would be helpful, but I would mainly need help digging out holes deep enough to plant trees...and for way to transport the trees from my home to the park. See what I mean, alot of work to be done. Growing is easy enough, actually making progress is hard." she said, rubbing the back of her head.
