This is a PRP between my Toxic Sludge and Guinevere Adelaide. Please do not post.  Summer was slowly coming to a close. The air was growing cooler and the days were getting shorter. Suns that seemed to last forever were now arriving later and leaving far before the mare was ready for them to. Exploring was cut short by seemingly cold nights and the grass was slowly but surely receding. Guinevere grumbled at the sky, as if cursing it for the impeding clouds, and she tried her best to find shelter. She wandered for quite a while as the clouds grew darker and her ambition grew thinner. The unicorn let out a groan and she allowed herself to flop over in a heap in the small field she'd found herself in. She figured if it were to rain, she could get up and move, but she was willing to bet that it wouldn't.

 Although it was cooler than it had been, Toxic Sludge dreaded being out in the sun. Her dark coat seemed to suck up all of the heat and it made her horribly uncomfortable. She longed for the cool, short days of autumn and the smell of apples and falling leaves. Lazily, she wrapped her mouth around a tuft of grass. She was extraordinarily cranky this particular afternoon, having gotten into quite the argument with her rat. He was being unrealistically demanding, expecting her to let him attempt to paw through her disheveled mane. She grunted at the thought of it and rolled her eyes. Stupid little rat, always trying to get into her hair.
A noise startled the mare and she peered up from the tall grass, only to see a seemingly familiar face. Her brows furrowed as she called to the other mare. "Guin," she scoffed, "Shouldn't you be home with your daddy, cuddled up under his wing?" Her eyes were stern and her tone was harsh as she spoke to the younger Soquili. How dare she interrupt her quiet afternoon.

Guin's eyes widened at the sound of the familiar voice. Yes, she recognized it. Toxi had grown up in the same teepee as her, and stayed there long enough to have her children and injure the head of the teepee before being pushed out by the protector of their home. She stuttered for a moment at the mare. "Uh... Hey, Toxi. I haven't seen you for quite some time." She had some second thoughts about engaging her, but felt it would be rude not to. "No, Father and I have long since separated. Seems I've grown up a little bit, huh?" She giggled a little bit at her own joke before trying to judge the older mare's current mood. Toxi was unstable, but she had both a grumpy mood and a violent mood. Guin was hoping today it wasn't the latter.

Toxi's nostrils flared as she grew angrier with the other mare. Not only had she interrupted her peace, but she dared mock her?! She looked down at the other mare, who was just laying there. It'd be so easy to just pummel her right there. Nobody would even know. Most likely, without her father around, it would be quite some time until they even found her. The wheels spun in the mare's mind as she fumed. "Grown up?! Ha! Highly unlikely. I'm sure you'll run back home to your little teepee and your fake little family that's full of lies." She seethed and her ears were pinned in the direction of the unicorn mare. "I'll give you five breaths to get up and fight, or to turn and run."
