It had taken a long time for Vogel to get up that morning. He was not a morning lion by any stretch - he wanted to sleep longer, but Bryne nudged him up. Luckily the lioness didn't ask him to speak. He followed her blindly as she started her patrols along the border. He was finally alert around half-way through their stroll.
He blinked up at her for a moment. "Morning," he greeted finally, and she could only laugh. It was their norm, Bryne leading him somewhere before he was quite aware of where he was going or why.
Today they had ended up at one of the larger watering holes. It was more social than the one they frequented together - theirs was more of a puddle really.
"I thought we'd have a more relaxed day," Bryne said, simply. It'd been a while since they had really been around others besides themselves. It would be nice to get some new interactions, after all.

Kimondo was rather... New, to the pridelands. He had only joined the previous week and was still taking in all the new sights and smells of the land he was starting to call home.
He was exploring the border areas today but had somehow gotten lost in his step. No matter, Kimondo thought. He'd just go and find himself a place to stop and get a drink of water. Nothing wrong with that correct?
Having found himself at the same watering hole as Bryne and Vogel, it hadn't crossed Kim's mind at first to go over and speak to them, or anyone for that fact. He was just trying to adjust to his new life here, and making friends wasn't a priority.
Yet just a handful of friends could go a long way in life. After drinking his fill Kim set his sights on the couple and walk towards them with a friendly smile. "Ah, good morning!" he called.
