Welcome to the Assistant Stat Manager Hiring Page!
We're looking to hire an Assistant Stat Manager, as we're currently without. This position requires a lot of data entry, possible RP reading, or at least word-counting, and working with the Stat Manager. The two of you will break up running monthly stats and work together to make a big job look easy! If you look forward to rewarding RPers with some stats, and being a team player, than this is the place for you!
Starts: Now! 08-29-14 Ends: 11:59 PM EST 09-19-14
Please note -- you may enter for any and all hiring positions, including both Colorist and NCS. You could be hired for one or the other, or both, if you think you can handle the workload.

Assistant Stat Manager This position is a bit of a flex position. In this role you will be working alongside Nisshou to help ease the burden of stats. This means you may be responsible for reading RPs and making sure that they're hitting the allotted requirements. It may mean that you're actually logging stats in individual teepees from month to month. You will be running Bonus Stats and making sure they are properly logged month to month. You will likely take on other jobs as Soquili Staff see fit, depending on how we decide to best break up the Stat Manager Position, so expect a little flexibility.
This job requires someone who is patient, someone who has ample time to look through role-plays and make sure the counts are right. This person should be customer friendly, easily approachable, and willing to take direction from Mind and Uta, if more work is needed to be distributed fairly.
If you are interested in the Assistant Stat Manager position, please fill out the following form.

Rules for Entry
1. Please read this entire front page before you enter! 2. If you have questions or concerns, please PM them to Soquili Era. 3. Please only give examples of item placement and item color work you've done yourself. I'm just kidding. Don't do that. It's not required for this position. :3 4. Please fill out the form in its entirety. 5. If we have a hard cut-off date or deadline, please follow it. You might be DQ'd if you miss it, even by just a few minutes. 6. We will perform background checks on potential hires and cross-check references. 7. You do NOT have to have worked in a B/C shop before, or a previous colorist, to enter. 8. We understand sometimes people don't get along, and mistakes have been made in the past. We will not hold past mistakes against you, but do understand, if you have a drama-filled background, or we get many complaints from previous employers, this might dampen your chances of being hired. 9. Beeeeeeaaaaakkkkssss! 10. We at Soquili do not need to explain why we choose the hires we do, or justify why we did not hire someone. While we will give helpful feedback back to colorists who ask for it, we do not have to give details on why one was not picked. Please note, that even if you are not hired now, this does not mean you shouldn't try again during future hire events. 11. There will not be various rounds -- we will simply hire as is, based on your posted entry below. 12. You'll also probably want an IM program of some kind so we can get a hold of you outside of Gaia/PM.

General Information Name: spelldancer Position Trying For: Assistant Stat Manager Do you have AIM? Yes If Not, would you be willing to get AIM? N/A What's your availability like? I have classes Friday evenings and from 9-5 on Saturdays. Other then that I am not doing anything but homework. When is the best time to get a hold of you? I check in usually multiple times a day, but am on almost always in the evenings. What timezone are you in? PST Have you worked in any shops before? If so, which ones and how long and what was your job? No Do you have any past shop references or individuals who can vouch for your professionalism and good behavior? Uta, Miss Cherie, Regina Aelise
Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? Absolutely. Is such activity going to be a problem? Nope. I am already on Gaia and looking at Soquili everyday anyway. Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? If I were to start falling behind or I even thought that I might start to fall behind due to an upcoming life event I would contact Nisshou, Uta, and Mind and let them know. Then I would work with them to try to find a solution that worked for everyone. If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? As Nisshou has done in the past I would leave a note in the main thread if I know that I am going to be late updating stats. If there was an unexpected delay, I would explain to them why there was a delay. If that is not satisfactory for them and they insist that I do the update of their teepee that minute I would explain that I can’t give preferential treatment to anyone and that when I reach their name I will update their stats. If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? I would politely tell them why they didn’t get stats and what they would need to do in the future to make sure that they do get stats. If they got snarky I would be polite and calm, but my exact response does depend on what they say. If they were completely out of line I would at least give Uta/Mind and Nisshou a heads up. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? Soquili is a shop that I have come to care about and want to see prosper. I am good at doing tasks day to day and making sure that the nitty gritty is done, while at the same time including unique events and items that need to be done once or on a less regular basis. Also, I am always conscious of what I am saying through writing and try to present a professional demeanor but also an approachable one. It is very hard to make me angry with someone and even if I do get annoyed I calm down quickly. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I am currently pursuing a Masters in Accountancy. While it might sound like I don’t have a lot of time I have been able to balance homework with other life and actually been finding that I have too much free time. I also enjoy making lists and keeping track of facts and numbers. It is an odd quirk of mine but would be very useful, I believe, in this position. I am good at taking directions or self starting as need be. Last but not least, I am flexible in my job description and open to having it changed up or things added to it. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Yes.

General Information Name: Cajmera Position Trying For: Assistant Stat Manager Do you have AIM? Yes If Not, would you be willing to get AIM? N/A What's your availability like? I'm very available at this time, due to my current 'employment' being that of an introverted homemaker. When is the best time to get a hold of you? During the day or evening What timezone are you in? Central time; SoDak, baby! Have you worked in any shops before? If so, which ones and how long and what was your job? Well, I used to work in Soquili, for a few years as general manager. It was a while ago, so I'm not exactly sure on the dates; I think it was late 2006 until sometime in early 2010, when I had to resign due to my real life getting beyond crazy. In my role as general manager, I answered questions, helped moderate the main thread, managed and updated the co-ownership and mates/permissions threads, and helped set up the first elder application format. I also would do miscellaneous other things as needed. My work capacity dropped dramatically during my last few months, which is why I ended up resigning; it didn't feel right to be on staff without time to do anything. Do you have any past shop references or individuals who can vouch for your professionalism and good behavior? Malhith? Or anyone else who was staff at that time!
Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week?[/b[] Yes Is such activity going to be a problem? Nope Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? Yes, I'm very good. If my life takes a crazy turn again and I found myself struggling, I would let Mind/Uta/Mal know right away; I'd also let them know if it was a short-term thing (family emergency, for example), or a longer-term problem (medical issue?) If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? I'd privately contact the customer and let them know that everyone due to receive stats will receive their stats in a timely fashion, but that sometimes due to volume/timing/rl circumstances, their stats might not be updated exactly on the first of the month. I'd also explain to them that an announcement will be made on the stat mule when stats completed, and until that announcement is made, stat updating is still in progress so there is no need to pm me (or Niss, or any other stat staff) unless their stats are still missing after that update. If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? Again via pm, I would simply explain to the customer that they did not meet the requirements, providing them with a link to the word count/post requirement info and providing them with their own word count so they can see why they didn't get stats. If they got snarky or mean after that, or argued they were 'close' and should get stats anyway, I would tell them I'm sorry they're upset, but the requirements are very specific, they did not meet them, and there are no exceptions but they can use a word counter (such as wordcounter.net) next month to ensure they have enough words. If I was getting pushback or the customer was truly crossing the line, I'd also notify the Stat Manager and/or Mind/Uta Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I love the shop and the people in the shop; I've been a member of Soquili since 2006 and have been an active part of the community for almost that entire time. I'd love to be a part of staff to help keep this community thriving! In addition, Soquili is the shop I frequent on Gaia, so it has that home-away from home thing going on as well. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I've always enjoyed doing support roles, such as tracking, list maintenance, etc. I like the idea of flexibility in the role and the opportunity to help with multiple projects. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Yes, I would be. They've all proven themselves in their respective roles as people who know what they're doing!
Thank you for your consideration!

General Information Name: techabyte Position Trying For: Assistant Stat Manager Do you have AIM? Yes If Not, would you be willing to get AIM? Have AIM. What's your availability like? Available every day for several hours a day; though the time varies, as I do have a full time job as well. If needed, Nyoko has my phone number and I can get on AIM on my phone or Tablet while at work. When is the best time to get a hold of you? Uhhhh. Varies? Anytime really; I can be on AIM on my phone if I need to be. What timezone are you in? Central. Have you worked in any shops before? If so, which ones and how long and what was your job? n/a Do you have any past shop references or individuals who can vouch for your professionalism and good behavior? n/a
Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? Yes. Is such activity going to be a problem? Nope. Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? If it starts to get hectic for me, I would probably PM/IM Niss first, and try to get ahold of her. If that wasn't possible, I'd go to Uta or Mind, explain what was going on, and why I may fall behind. If I needed to take a week/month off, I would make sure I gave ample time so that everyone knew and it would be easy to get everything situated. But I believe that I will have time every day to check role-plays/do a bit of updating as needed. If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? I would calmly explain that updating stats is a hard job! When stat managers have real life jobs as well, it may take a bit longer, and promise them that it will be updated in a few days. ( Also, I would post in thread giving everyone an update if it's going to be late or not. I wouldn't want to make people wait without knowledge about why beforehand ) If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? I would remain calm and try to explain to them as best as possible about what is going on. If they started to get snarky or aggressive, I would either go to a higher up, or take care of updating their stats immediately. If they didn't meet the requirements, I would offer them the numbers and explain just why that particular Soq did not get stats ( be it in the wrong month, or not enough words ). Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I get along with almost everyone around; I have a positive attitude and am understanding to everything around me. If someone needs help, I try to do so as soon as I can. I'm very organized and love to do lists and update things. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I know Niss and have talked to her before, sometimes on a daily basis. That being said, I believe I'd be able to learn from her very well and easily, and understand everything that's going on. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Yep~
NB: Edited my entry to add some info I forgot about my previous employment ^.^ Hope that's okay
General Information Name: Phail Ninja Position Trying For: Assistant Stat Manager Do you have AIM? Yes (username is phail_ninja) If Not, would you be willing to get AIM? -- What's your availability like? I'm online every day, unless I'm going on holiday then during travel time I won't be able to get on. Starting a new course soon at university, but hours will at worst be 9-6, and will be able to get on before they start in the morning and afterwards. I tend to be a bit of a night-owl so I can stay up late etc... till like 3AM some nights (and often do), I don't ever sleep till about 1AM. Weekends I'm free, and during the main holidays (christmas, easter and summer). ^.^ When is the best time to get a hold of you? Any time by PM, because I check gaia quickly throughout the day x3 AIM is reserved for when I'm on my computer, which will be in the evenings/late (but as I'm in the UK, this actually isn't very late for all you US people XD). I am also skype-able at any point throughout the day (and prefer it to AIM 'cause I use it all the time, whereas AIM I just use for gaia). What timezone are you in? UK time (either GMT or BST depending on which bit of the year it is). Have you worked in any shops before? If so, which ones and how long and what was your job? I worked at The Race Track for slimycrow for a while as RP manager, was in charge of holding RP events and just trying to keep some RP going in the guild - but there were never a lot of RPers there so there wasn't that much to do. Also ended up co-owner of GSPCA after the original owners left, with Samiuki being the main owner. Tried to kick-start it back up, but Samiuki went MIA and it never really happened. Additionally, I also ran two of my own shops! 1. The Champuu Hut which was fairly successful, had a big starting event but ended up dying out due to a lack of interest. There I was a colourist, certist, shop owner & shop manager - I basically did everything except for RP manager and some of the colouring (because I hired other colourists too x3). 2. PHISH, which I owned fully as well x3 Had two guest colourists but the shop never took off - there was little/no interest in the opening event despite bumping/posting to try and get people's attention xP Ah well.
In summary: The Racetrack - RP Manager - From 2009-2012ish (but the shop wasn't really working in the later years and there was never much RP) GSPCA - Co-owner/Manager - Not long, died because co-owner went MIA when original owners passed over the shop to us The Champuu Hut - Colourist/Certist/Owner/Manager - Roughly a year PHISH - Colourist/Certist/Owner/Manager - Shop never took off, a few months of actual work? Do you have any past shop references or individuals who can vouch for your professionalism and good behavior? Slimycrow knows me well ^.^ And I know CitrusCupcake, Mahogany Sunset and tefla from the thread quite well (I hope XD) who would hopefully be willing to say I have good behaviour x3
Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? Of course! Is such activity going to be a problem? Not at all, and if this changes I would let you know ASAP Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? Tell someone. There's no point just vanishing and letting it pile up. If I can't handle it (which I don't think will be a problem) then I would honestly say, because I don't want the shop to suffer on my account. If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? Politely send them a message explaining the situation and that I am right on it x3 If they're making a fuss in public, I'd make this equally public knowledge, and if it's PMed I'd just keep it private - no need to make a fuss just because someone's wondering where their stats are! But the key point would be being polite and non-confrontational about it, if it's late it's my bad and people can get upset, all I can do is apologise and strive to do better ^.^ If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? I would very kindly point out the requirements for stats and explain exactly why they didn't meet them. Even if they're snarky, I wouldn't respond like that - better to try to explain it all calmly. If they continue to be confrontational and demand stats, I'd take it to someone higher up - especially if they start being abusive. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I'm already a regular at Soquili, and I love it here. Honestly. I want nothing more than to see the shop succeed on gaia. I love how open and friendly it's become, it's basically my second home now. And I will do anything I can to help this shop get to the top. Helping compile owner's lists, cosplay lists etc... are all things I've done in the past and I don't want it to end there. I really want to give myself 1000% to the shop. I'm also friendly and approachable, and don't escalate things into drama, which I think will make me a good staff member ^.^ Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I'm good at this sort of stuff. I worked my way through so many teepees to try and help Faid with cosplay searching to make a list. The same with Maho to make a list of all the seathi/mer/aquatic ponies. I can do the work, and I can work well with others. I know where not to overstep my bounds, and I understand that I don't know everything. I'm also incredibly flexible (not in the physical sense XD) and I think I am easy to work with and friendly to be around x3 Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Of course <3 I know them all and respect them greatly. They've done amazing things for this shop and I would love to be able to help them out.

General Information Name: Ryuukishin Position Trying For: Assistant Stat Manager Do you have AIM? Yes If Not, would you be willing to get AIM? N/A What's your availability like? I'm usually on Gaia a few hours a day, except during finals season! When is the best time to get a hold of you? Depends on the semester. Anyone can leave me offline messages on AIM or contact me via PMs, however. What timezone are you in? PST Have you worked in any shops before? If so, which ones and how long and what was your job? Yes. I owned about five shops and worked in about fifteen. I haven't recorded the length, but in most cases I stayed with the shops until they became inactive and died. Do you have any past shop references or individuals who can vouch for your professionalism and good behavior? xxx Yuki Bear xxx and LunaRei_SilverBlood
Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? Yes! I've run a handful of shops on my own in the past and have a good idea of what'll be expected of me! Is such activity going to be a problem? Only during finals perhaps; this would vary per semester, but at most, it would be four times a year. Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? That depends! I can communicate when doing customer service-esque work (eg. answering questions); otherwise, I'm usually very shy. If life starts to get hectic, I would notify the manager in charge. If I feel I'll be gone for an extended period of time, I'll try my best to stick around until we can discuss what will be done during my abscence and I can hand out instructions if anyone unfamiliar with the work will be covering for me. If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? I would ask 'em for their patience. If stats are even later and they prove insistent, I'll try to explain why it's taking a while. If it's been such a long time that many people have similar concerns, I would contact the manager and see about requesting temporary help! (Generally, the last situation should not occur, as I would make an announcement and request aid ahead of time -- long before it reaches the point that many people are openly complaining.) If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive and confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? I would explain why their stat(s) for the month is ineligible and encourage them to try again! If they become aggressive, I would do my best to remain neutral and ease the tension; if I am threatened or feel I cannot handle the situation on my own, I will approach my manager. My experience with running shops in the past has taught me caution, and I won't lose my temper or do anything that I feel will reflect poorly on the shop or myself. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I hang around the shop often! Unfortunately, I no longer have time to back read the thread like I used to, but I enjoy helping out whenever I see anyone with a question or concern. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I enjoy managerial work (sometimes even more than coloring haha) and would love to be able to pick it up again! I have experience with similar jobs -- in the shops I ran, I was usually the one to maintain all of our lists, ranging from owner's lists and cosplay lists to raffles. I understand this position comes with a lot of work; however, as it can easily be done in my spare time between homework and classes -- that is, time slots so short I wouldn't consider coloring at all -- it should not impede on my colorist duties. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Yes, yes, and yes!
Note: I've applied for three positions! I would be happy with any of them, but if preferences are needed, they are: Teepee > Stat > Cert. Thank you!

Yes I understand Is such activity going to be a problem? No, I am on gaia almost all the time as it is Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? Yes I will communicate if I need a reprieve of my duties should my RL get busy and I start falling behind If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? Explain calmly why I wasn't on time with getting them updated and tell them I will get it done as soon as possible. If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? I would stay calm and explain that they did not meet the requirements for stats for that month, showing them proof that they did not. If they got snarky, I would explain again, and possibly have to refer to a higher manager for help, but I would try to diffuse the situation before taking the issue to the manager. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I lurk the thread and post when I feel appropriate. If I did get hired on, I would make a bigger effort to post and participate in thread. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I've been working harder on getting my own Soquili stats each month recently, and so I've become familiar with using a word count program to help me get enough words to get stats. Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? I am always in the shop whether it be posting or lurking. It's really the only shop I'm in anymore. I am a team player as long as others allow me to be. I am rather nice and easy to approach. I don't play favorites and believe in being fair with everyone even if I feel ill about them. I have been looking for a way to be part of the shop for a long time now. My coloring skills aren't up to par so that is off the table and I can't cert well either. So this would be an opportunity to help out and be part of a place where I love my characters so much. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I like organizing things or keeping track of stuff. Even if it's stats, I would enjoy doing it. I love helping out in general and taking some load off someone else's shoulders will really make me happy. Even if it's a little bit, I wouldn't mind doing it. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Of course. c8

General Information Name: -[The Spoof]- Position Trying For: Assistant Stat Manager Do you have AIM? Yes - spoof2468chan If Not, would you be willing to get AIM? n/a What's your availability like? I'm at least passively online for most of the day. Actually paying attention to Gaia for a couple hours a day in the evenings - all day on a day off. For the semester I'm going to have one weekend day and Wed completely off, and be done with classes by 4pm on Tuesday and Thursday. When is the best time to get a hold of you? Evenings or late afternoons. What timezone are you in? CST Have you worked in any shops before? If so, which ones and how long and what was your job? Yes, I briefly (as in I was an active employee for like a month) worked in Sandpaints. I also ran my own RP guild for...4 or 5 years? From 2006-ish to 2011 I think. Do you have any past shop references or individuals who can vouch for your professionalism and good behavior? faithofthefallen, dolphingurl AlexiaSilver, Mindsend
Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? Yes! Is such activity going to be a problem? Nope Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? Let people know asap so that the shop isn't blindsided by me disappearing. The semester is starting and while I know I'm going to be busy, I can pretty much point to which weeks are going to be the worst and plan accordingly because of syllabuses. As for unexpected things like maybe a family member dying or me getting sick, again just let people know asap If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? Apologize for the delay, explain what caused it if applicable, and continue to work on updating stats. If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? Review their rp just to be sure I didn't make a mistake first, and if not then explain that they didn't post enough to gain stats for this month and that I'd double and/or triple checked it. Depending on how close they were I'd recommend they try making one more post next month just to be safe next time. When I have to deal with snarky customers irl I just keep my tone even and remain calm/don't let them rattle me or change my answer because they are being jerks. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I love the shop and have been in it since mid-2009. I enjoy interacting with people and have very good customer service skills IRL. I get along with almost everyone I meet and can remain professional/pleasant even when my personal life might be causing me to be in a bad mood for whatever reason. I know a lot about the shop so besides the duties of Assistant Stat Manager I could answer questions for people in thread and/or would feel comfortable hunting for answers for them. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? Similar to what I said for the Teepee Manager, I enjoy data entry and thread formatting. With regards to the question about people getting confrontational, I have dealt with such people irl for the last 6 years in various customer service positions and have become pretty good at keeping my cool and de-escalating them. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Yup!

Monday through Friday after 4:30pm as I work full time. Weekends are open completely. When is the best time to get a hold of you? Any time through PM. Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? Yes I do Is such activity going to be a problem? Nope Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? I would have to say yes. I work at Social Security as a teleservice representative so I’m always communicating laws, regulations, and what people need to do on a daily basis. Should life start to get hectic I’d definitely let someone on staff know as soon as possible. And if anything, ask for a bit of help if it got too bad. (Hopefully that would never be the case but things do happen.) Key thing here is communication. You communicate with head staff/supervisors and things get worked out. Less stress for everyone, customers and staff. If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? I would probably have a three strike rule in place. After setting up stats lists on who needs to be updated, after a couple days, if It hasn’t been done, people reserve the right to contact the mule, or me, about it once. After that, should the hounding continue, the first strike would be a written warning through PM. Second strike would have the soquili in question go down to the bottom of the update list. And the third strike would entail me going to a staff member, Mind, Uta, or Mal and let them know what’s going on. If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? I would approach them like any customer on the phone I talk to at work. Calmly explain to them how the rules work in the shop and how there are no exceptions for anyone unless explicitely stated by higher management. Should they then get snarky with me I would tell them that should this train of conversation continue things will be moved to higher management and possible warnings will ensue. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I’ve been in the shop since 2009 and have wanted to work in the shop for a long time. I love the shop and I love the staff. I feel as if I would be a good fit as I care about giving a good experience to customers, newbie and regular, and want to give back to the shop after all they’ve given me in return. (Support and stress relief from RL.) Like any normal job in RL, I have experience dealing with all different types of customers and co-workers. It’s not just about yourself in a shop and/or in a job; it’s also about teamwork and the happiness that soquili pets bring to people. I feel like I can bring in not only my previous experience in the B/C, my creative writing skills in RL, but also my real life experience working with different people of all different backgrounds. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? Throughout all my jobs in RL I’ve always been in a teamwork type position where communication and execution was directly correlated with the success of a project. Because of this experience, I’ve learned great ways of communicating effectively with my partners to ease the stress of upcoming due dates. I’ve also learned great ways of project management by not only helping come up with a plan of action, but also helping to create a designation of tasks to get the job done. I’ve been on both ends of the spectrum, leading a team, as well as providing support to the lead. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Yes I am.

Assistant Stat Manager Specific Information Do you understand this job is almost a daily thing, if not at the very least every few days, and definitely once a week? Yes Is such activity going to be a problem? No Are you good at communicating with others? If life starts to get hectic, or you start falling behind, what would you do? Yes I am. If I know life is about to get hectic (ex: final exams), I will let Mind and Uta know beforehand. If I am not able to tell them ahead of time, I will notify them immediately or as soon as I can when things start to get hectic and let them know whether it will be long term or short term. If a customer start complaining about why their stats are a day late, and bugging you about updating their teepee, what would you do? I would explain the reasoning behind the late stats. If they continued to hound me about them being late, I would kindly ask that they be patient with me and explain that there are many teepees that need stats added to them. If that same customer doesn't meet the requirements for stats, and is known to be a more aggressive ad confrontational member, how would you approach them? What would you say? What would you do if they got particularly snarky? I would explain the reason that their stats are not eligible for that month. I would do everything in my power to keep them calm and avoid the situation getting out of hand. If I felt that I had done everything I could to explain, I would go to higher up management for advice. I am very difficult to upset, so their snarky attitude wouldn't really phase me. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as Soquili Staff? I have been in the thread for quite a while now (about when the birthstone event ended). I try to be polite and friendly when in thread and Soquili Staff should be friendly and welcoming of new individuals as well as people that have been in the thread for a while. Why do you think you'd be a good fit as an Assistant? I take instructions well and if I have a question I am not afraid to ask. If asked to do something, I am willing and excited to help in any way that I can. I enjoy making lists and filling out forms that are needed. I hate letting others down, so I will do everything in my power to keep things running smoothly and keep everybody happy. Are you comfortable taking orders from Nisshou, Uta, and/or Mind? Yes
