The year is 2029 - fifteen years since an alien race called the Abyssians invaded the planet. Ten years since humanity reverse-engineered their most powerful weapon, the Battlesuit, a robotic exoskeleton of varying sizes and shapes, and created the United Defense for Earth.
And only five years since humanity began losing, badly.
However, now there may just be hope. Reports have been coming in of a strange Battlesuit pilot with a suit capable of taking down entire squadrons of Abyssians with ease. As such, _____, a dedicated soldier and prospective Battlesuit pilot, has been sent to try and find this strange pilot. Now her determined search has led her to a cabin in the woods...

Battlesuit Information
Originally created by the Abyssians, humanity reverse-engineered the Battlesuit technology and claimed it for their own in their fight against the invaders. Battlesuits, nicknamed "Suits", are DNA-locked to their pilots, and as a general rule, the lock can only be changed if the pilot gives permission or is dead. The Battlesuits themselves divided into different classes, the majority of which are listed below. Even among the different classes, however, there is variation based on the tastes of the pilot, resulting in the Battlesuits getting nicknames based on their appearance, their equipment, and/or even their pilot's combat style.

Strike-class/"Strikers": Strike-class Battlesuits are only slightly larger than their pilots. They are swift and precise, but fragile, and are less effective against larger enemy Battlesuits. They are generally equipped with precision weapons, and occasionally precise melee or short-range weapons. Most also have other equipment to aid in their duties.
Soldier-class/"Soldiers": Not to be confused with actual soldiers, Soldier-class Battlesuits are larger than Strike-class ones, and are also better armored, though they are also slower. As the name implies, these are generally used as the front-line fighters, and as such, their equipment is generally geared toward damage as a whole, as opposed to the precision of the Strike-class.
Siege-Class/"Tanks": Siege-class Battlesuits are larger still, with most being around the size of a small house. They are generally heavily armored and capable of taking far more punishment, but are also very slow. Their weapons are generally like they are, slow but powerful, with equipment geared toward defense.
Behemoth-Class/"Behemoths": Behemoth-class Battlesuits are used exclusively by the Abyssians, since humans have been unable to gain one for study. The pinnacle of Battlesuit technology, Behemoth-class Battlesuits are massive, but swift, with powerful weaponry. It is uncertain why the Abyssians don't use them more often, but humanity certainly isn't complaining.
Other Classes: Intercepted transmissions indicate that the Abyssians have been working on experimental Battlesuits. Among them, the most prominently mentioned are the Evo-class, the Bio-class, and the Elemental-class, and while exact details are uncertain, one thing is clear: unless humanity steps up their game, these new Battlesuits could spell the end for Earth...

NPCs (May add more later on):
General William D. Phyre, a.k.a. "General Wildfire": Leader of Earth's Battlesuit Division. A gruff man who is willing to do whatever it takes to fight off the Abyssians (within reason, anyway). Pilots the Soldier-class Battlesuit "Silver Phoenix".

Jinfen: Leader of the Abyssian forces and pilot of one of the Abyssians' Behemoths. Vicious, ruthless, and cruel.

(Gotcha. I'll start, then.)

A strange young man immediately awoke as the silent alarm he'd set around his home went off, red eyes with black schlerae darting around the room. He frowned slightly, annoyed - he could've sworn he'd been careful enough that the Abyssians couldn't follow him. Silently, he headed over to his Battlesuit, a sleek, seemingly black armor the size of a Striker-class Suit, nearly featureless except for the glowing red eyes on its "face". He slipped into it, ignoring the minor twinge that came from it hooking up to his brain, before heading out to see what the problem was. Almost immediately, he found the intruder watching her from the shadows and analyzing the information his Battlesuit was giving him on the newcomer. 'I see... human, then, not Abyssian.' Abyssians came in all sorts of shapes, but they had yet to look anywhere near human. Still, he wasn't sure if she was a friendly or not, so he watched and waited to see what she would do.
After all, if she was here to kill him, he'd just have to kill her first - and with the nature of his Battlesuit, he'd have an easier time of it than one might expect.

A dark blue and dark red Striker-class Suit walked in the area it was known that the strange Battlesuit pilot was. Inside of the suit, a young woman scanned the area once more before. She was a dedicated soldier and that was the reason she was chosen to find this pilot by General Phyre. He was the one to give over her suit to her. Soon her suit claimed the name Blue Fire for her speed, much better than those of the same class and how damaging her attacks are like a fire.
The suit was surprisingly easy to high in the shadows with as she settled down to watch. She didn't react to seeing the strange suit. Instead she studied the suit and took more images of it for HQ. Next she used the old human mode of communication that most pilots learned, Morse code, using the lights on her chest. She signed questions, like who are you and are you human to start off with.

The young man just watched, his amusement hidden by his own featureless Suit. After a moment of letting her make a complete idiot of herself by flashing lights at him when she could just ask him, he answered blandly in perfect English. "Corvus, no last name, Pilot of the appropriated Evo-Class Battlesuit, codename Death Crow. I'll show you mine if you show me yours," he added slyly, referring to species... not that she necessarily had to know that.

The young woman sighed thankful he could talk. She turned on her communicator, "My apologies, Death Crow, I didn't know if you could talk. None of the reports on you and your suit suggest this. I'm Melody Jethro, pilot of a Striker-Class Battlesuit, codename Blue Fire. My mission was find the strange suit and it's pilot. That being you." Melody replied professionally. "And I don't this I'll show myself."

"Well then, that's too bad, because I'm not getting out of the Suit unless you are; a pity, really, since I'm sure you're quite gorgeous under that Battlesuit of yours," Corvus answered airily, shamelessly flirting with her to see if he could get her to break that professional demeanor of hers. "At any rate, you've found me; exactly what are you planning on doing now, hmm?" Of course, he didn't lower his guard even after she confirmed herself as human - after all, if this little meeting went wrong, the humans would be just as much his enemies as the Abyssians.

Melody didn't even bat an eyelash at the flirting coming from the other suit. "Be that as it may, this isn't the most safest of places to be out of a suit and I rightfully don't trust you and your rightfully don't trust me." She replied once more professional. "And flirting with me won't get you any where, I have hear a lot having gone through boot camp and Battlesuit training. You would be surprised at how low the number of women go in to either program and how desperate a man can get for female contact. They quickly found that they wouldn't be getting that way with me. Now, Death Crow, my mission was to find you and I have found you. You appear to be able to speck English easily and not hostile on contact. My next task is to find out if you would speck with my General using the temporary link to his communicator." Melody spoke with an official tone. Her right hand moved to a subspace pocket to offer the temporary link to the other suit. It would break after it's use.

Corvus allowed himself a small, amused smirk, not that Melody could see it. "All right... might as well. If you try anything funny, though, don't expect me to be merciful." He wordlessly held one metal-clad hand out for the communicator, waiting expectantly.

Melody nodded and walked over carefully to Corvus. She made sure to show that her weapons were away. Melody handed over the communicator. Instantly, a holographic screen appeared and General Phyre was on the screen. He looked pleased, "Well done, Blue Fire." "Thank you, sir. The suit you are looking at right now is codenamed Death Crow and the Pilot is named Corvus. he has agreed to talk to you." Melody informed her commander before stepping back. "Thank you, Blue Fire for the report. Now, Death Crow, I am interested about you like the rest of the military about your suit and how stronger your suit fairs against the Abyssians. Why is that?" General Phyre asked serious. He wanted to know to help his race win and he saw this man's suit as Humanity's victory.

Corvus simply smiled under the armor, amused; he supposed he could part with some information. "Well, the answer is really quite simple: while I'm not necessarily on your side," though that might change, was the unspoken addendum, "I absolutely despise Abyssians for... personal reasons, and as such I and a few... others... have taken to sabotaging their efforts, if only to piss them off. Admittedly, there's only three of us, but I'm sure you heard reports of our exploits: the more powerful Abyssian Suits spontaneously developing faults mid-combat... Abyssian weapons spontaneously jamming or blowing up with no discernible cause... some of the mid-level Abyssian officers spontaneously going through heart attacks despite being in perfect health... that sort of thing. So naturally, when we intercepted some info about how the Abyssians had just finished a shiny new Battlesuit, one capable of literally evolving based on the needs of the pilot... well, of course we were going to take their prized Evo-Class Suit, put me in it, and blow up the lab to keep them from making another one for a good long while - we're dicks like that," he quipped shamelessly, and you could practically hear the smirk on his face.

General Phyre was practically smiling with how big his smirk got when Corvus told him the information. "I would like to say even though it is for personal reasons that I'm glad you and your companions are taking down these bastards. Thank you also for taking that suit from them or my race would not be standing any longer I would assume." The general said saluting Corvus before asking, "Is there any way to use the info on that suit to upgrade another? Blue Fire is the only one I could think strong enough for this other then myself and I can't leave here. I still have to command this army." Melody blinked shocked in her suit, "No, sir. My suit is just fine. I am one of the better pilots." She said trying to reason with the older man. She didn't think focusing on this and not on the Abyssians was a good use of her time. "Blue Fire," General Phyre silenced her, "We are losing. We need more than what we got already to defeat the Abyssians and take back our planet."
Melody gritted her teeth and stood down.

Corvus cocked his head slightly, trying to remember all the brainiac-speak that Gizmo, as his tech specialist went by among strangers, had told him about the suit. "...Maybe; I'd have to consult my tech specialist. Mind you, since it would be an upgrade, it wouldn't be quite as effective as it would be if it were part of it from the start, but it would definitely provide enough of a boost to make a difference." Of course, what he didn't mention was that they'd probably freak out at the appearance of said tech specialist, but they didn't need to know that.
