This will be a private roleplay between my (belloblossom) Tenzin and Wasteland Wyvern's Leilani.

If you are neither me, nor Wyvern, please do not post here. Thankies! yum_puddi

Tenzin

Tenzin was lonely the moment his wolf familiar, Damian, had walked out of view. They'd agreed on a meeting place in the forests before Damian left, so that they could find each other easily again, and while Tenzin was anxious to go to that location, he suspected Damian might take a while.

So, he picked another direction, and started to walk from the depths of the Western Forests to the outskirts of the area. The forests of the west had been his home growing up as a foal, and as he walked familiar paths, he recalled how far he'd grown since then.

His mother had always had a case of wanderlust, so she left almost immediately after he fell from his basket. She would've taken him with her, if he could've followed fast enough. His father was the one that ended up taking care of him for a time. As it was from his father that he inherited his physical strengths from, it was his father who taught him how to utilize such strength.

It wasn't long into his life before his father left too, having determined that Tenzin was as fit as a foal could be. With a farewell, Tenzin's father left, and he'd never seen either of his parents since.

He didn't mind solitude as a foal. He'd always come up with his own special games to play. As he neared the borders between the forests and the grasslands, he recalled "The Bravery Game" as he'd self-titled it. In this game, he would rush out into the grasslands as far as he would go, and stay out in the open for as long as he could. A foal who was so used to the trees would easily become unnerved by the openness of the grasslands, so it had become a test of courage for himself. He'd push his limits a little more every day, and when he was an adult, and felt less fear, he left the forests one day and traveled all throughout the Western region.

Such a fond game that was. Thought Tenzin, looking back on the memory with an adult's nostalgia, and a child's excitement. I shall play it again, while I wait for Damian to finish with his hunt.

And so he turned down another path and started to pick up at his pace, moving from a slow walk to a lumbering trot. Then, before he knew it, he was standing at the border that divided the forests from the grasslands. Wild fires around this area had often been common, that was part of his bravery test as a foal, one of the elevated risks, but he'd never seen any as a foal, so what was the likelihood of seeing one now?

Bursting from the trees, he ran out into the plains. Feeling a gust of wind buffet his face caused him to throw back his head in merriment of it all. Yes, this was still a good game to play! He determined. He kicked out his back legs in a powerful buck, and then leaped high into the air.

He was so lost in his own laughter that he did not realize that when he landed back on the ground, with four hooves on the ground, that one of them landed at an unnatural angle. Surely, however, this would later come to his attention.

Today had started out like any other with her awakening in this bright morning sunlight. She was always an early riser, a creature of the sun if there ever was one. She shook her head to clear and stretched her legs a bit before exiting the cave that she had been staying in for a time. The western forests were amazing! So vivid and colorful, animals abounded while crickets sung their sweet tunes. She sighed, "Ahh this is shaping up to be a marvelous day."
It had truly been a long time since she'd just had time to herself. Her last great adventure saw her caught in the middle of a herd war. She shook her head to clear the memories. No sense in lingering on the past when this day was shaping up to be beautiful.
She walked hesitantly out of the cave, sniffing the air to ensure there were no threats around. Her familiar Ehren the snake was wrapped firmly about her neck were he could see the world without doing any work of his own. She shook her head at the sheer laziness he exuded.
Suddenly a laugh caught her attention and she turned her head towards were the forest met the plains. 'Hmm what could be going on over there?' She asked herself. Walking towards it she looked around for the person or thing that made the sound.

User Image

Ehren stared up at Leilani when she got distracted by the sound and wondered if he should say something. She was always looking into things that she had no business sticking her nose into. "Lei... Issss that really a good idea?" The snake asked in his usual sinister hissing tone.

User Image

"Yes Ehren, you never know when someone might need a healer's aid." She rolled her eyes at the snake wondering why he hated doing anything at all.

belloblossom
I don't have Ehren's cert yet but when I do I will edit it into this post. I won him recently and he's not been made yet. He's colored like a Mohave Rattlesnake.

Tenzin

Tenzin had been romping about fondly, but by the time he'd made his second or third jump into the air, he realized that something was wrong with him. The pain came from one of his back ankles, that was why he hadn't realized it before. If it had come from either of his front legs, he would've noticed immediately, but he rarely thought of his rear end.

His merry call of laughter turned to a cry of pain, and he became suddenly very still. His head turned around to face his back legs, and he gingerly lifted one, then the other. It seemed that it was his left back ankle, and from the growing pain, it was either a bad twist or a bothersome sprain. Either way, it hurt.

Lifting it up again, he hobbled around with three legs, before realizing what a handicap that was. Surely, if he didn't put much weight on the injured ankle, he wouldn't hurt it very much more? He put it down again, and decided to head back to his meeting spot with Damian.

"How long does it take to hunt anyway? I'm sure he'll be waiting for me there." He told himself.

Then, up ahead towards the border, he saw a flash of orange-red and he stumbled back. Was there a fire starting? But the air was cool here, and he didn't smell any smoke.

An idea struck him. Perhaps there was another Soquili up ahead! He rarely saw Soquili about. He hadn't been able to decide whether he was doing something wrong, or whether they were avoiding him. He supposed, if there was a Soquili up ahead, and if they were to look at him and then run, that it would answer his question. Either way, there couldn't be any harm in him saying hello, right? Although, first, he had to check that someone was there first.

"Hello, hello?" He called towards the trees. "Is someone there?"

Wasteland Wyvern
Oh dear... It seems as though I accidently edited away my first post without realizing it. I'm very sorry for the confusion. I'll do a very rough summary of the first post of what I had posted previously.
Ugh, I hate when I make those mistakes! cat_gonk

Leilani started when she heard a deep voice call out inquiring if someone was there. It seemed she had been found. Smiling she stepped out of the bushes that hid her elegant but diminutive form, the snake still wrapped firmly around her neck, and some strands of her hair fluttered in the breeze. "Greetings friend." One of her wings, the left one, opened and closed rapidly as she stared up at the stallion in front of her. He was a giant by her standards, but then a lot of stallions dwarfed her. She was used to being small and hollow boned. It was part of being able to fly.

User Image

Ehren eyed the newcomer suspiciously. Personally he could care less if Leilani met new people but someone of this size could be trouble. For all Ehren knew this large creature could eat alicorn's for dinner and enjoy a snake for dessert. He hissed unhappily, his black tipped tongue forking in and out.

belloblossom
No worries Bello. I understand how it goes, no need to hate yourself for a small error!

Tenzin

Tenzin was stunned when the Soquili he'd called out, didn't just come forward to return his address, but also was a very beautiful mare. It was definitely her, Tenzin realized, who he'd mistaken to be a wildfire. While the mare was majorly colored a soft spring green, her forehooves, horn and primary feathers were hued in such a way that was made to look almost exactly like fire.

"Remarkable..." Came Tenzin's quiet reply, and then he shook himself a bit, and spoke in a more conversational tone, hoping to erase the awestruck stupidity the mare had witnessed seconds before. "Ah, yes, well... Hello." Goodness he was awful at this talking business. Damian was the more talkative of the two, the more conversational one at least. Tenzin, who rarely made much contact with other Soquili in the past, hadn't any idea what to say when he'd actually met one, nevertheless someone as pretty as the one standing before him. He really ought to have planned ahead.

Introductions! He thought. Yes, that would be the first step towards conversation. Surely, it was the way to go, now that he'd greeted her.

"My name is Tenzin." Said the large stallion, dipping his head low, and then letting it come back up again, so to look the mare in her eyes which were the most fiery-like trait about her. "What is yours?" A brief pause, and then he added, "And if you don't mind me asking, what're you doing around these parts? I haven't seen you before, so are you a traveler perhaps?" He turned his gaze briefly from the mare to the direction of the mountain hot springs, maybe she was traveling to there?

Leilani smiled slightly when he said the hushed awed words before catching himself and continuing with the introductions. She lowered her head, extended one foot in front of herself, and executed a bow, her wings spread wide for balance. After she had offered him her bow she said, "Its very nice to meet you Tenzin, I am called Leilani, or if you prefer Lei for short. I am a traveling healer in search of herbs for use in my profession." She had explained this to so many others over the past that it had a slight mechanical sound to it, from the over repeated words but she still meant every single word. She was always on the search to find new ways to help someone as her horn magic was quite limited due to her mixed blood. "If you happen to know any herbs that are useful in this area I would appreciate knowing where I might find them. This is my first visit to this area, admittedly." She cocked her head at him, several strands of her long hair billowed about proceeding to annoy her.

User Image

Ehren looked balefully up at the giant. So he wasn't a meat eater thankfully but what did he want with his bonded? Leilani and Ehren didn't get along all the time but she was happy for the company and the lazy snake was happy for a ride. He flicked his tongue in and out tasting the air, then spoke up, "Yesssss... Sssshe is Leilani and I am Ehren. A pleassssure, I'm sssure."

Tenzin

Tenzin was impressed with the mare's bow, and found himself looking again at her wings. What would it be like to have wings, and be able to fly? Surely, it would open up a lot of other opportunities for travel.

Sure enough, the mare--Leilani, was in fact, a traveler. A traveling healer, no less. When she asked him about whether he knew any herbs that grew in the area, he smiled. While he wasn't sure of the proper names of any plants he had come across, he was certain that at least a few of them had to be herbs.

"While I admit that I'm not entirely knowledgeable about herbs, I have come past a few peculiarities while I've lived here. Perhaps some of what I've seen have been herbs? I know where to find them, and can help you to them, if you wouldn't mind my company." He told her, shifting his posture slightly. His ankle was throbbing painfully, but he would much rather take the chance of injuring it further, if he could keep the company of this mare.

He glanced down at the snake that hung around Leilani's neck and tried not to shudder at the look it was giving him. For another time, he wished that Damian was with him, to provide some extra support. He had spent a while with the wolf, and he'd grown used to doing things in pairs, as opposed to individually.

"A pleasure, indeed, Ehren." He replied to the snake, trying his best to keep his features open and friendly, despite the menacing glare the snake was giving him.

A bit eager to break the gaze of the snake, he looked up to Leilani again, awaiting her answer to his proposal.

Leilani smiled a lot more openly when he offered company and the possibility of new herbs and plants she might need. However she wasn't amused with Ehren's attempt to scare off Tenzin. With an admonishing look aimed at Ehren she said, "I would be very grateful for the company Tenzin, and its quite possible the plants you know of might be of use to me." She was rather amazed when he spoke civilly to her snake friend. Most found him extremely unnerving and often found reason to leave her to her travels shortly afterward. She wondered how she had gotten herself such a lazy, cynical jerk of a familiar but then one often didn't choose one's bonded. It just happened.
Something however was bothering her. Tenzin seemed to be favoring one of his legs, putting less weight on it than the other three. "If I might ask, did you hurt you leg? I apologize if I am being nosy but you seem to be favoring it quite a bit." There was honest concern in her voice as she hated to see someone in pain.

User Image

Ehren looked away from Tenzin and didn't speak another word at first but he knew, just knew that Leilani would scold him later so he said, "My... Apologiessss friend. I know that I sssseem quite menacing but I asssssure you my bark is worsssse than my bite." His grin was wicked when he said that age old phrase. He would definitely be scolded later but it was worth it to see such a large, proud creature so disturbed by tiny little him.

Sorry for the wait! I had no internet access until today. Had to buy my own service but it was worth it!
Also Ehren's cert is in the first post!

Tenzin

Tenzin couldn't help, but smile along with Leilani. It had been so long since he had the company of another and she was such a friendly mare. What a stroke of luck this had turned out to be, and how happy he was that he'd met her.

He was very pleased, also, when Leilani claimed that she would be grateful for the company. As many Soquili fled at the sight of his size, he certainly hadn't ever expected to hear that being said to him!

"I certainly hope that's the case, in regards to the plants, I mean." He said, his eyes bright. Though he wasn't an incredibly perspective Soquili, he did seem to understand that something was troubling Leilani. He certainly hoped that something he'd said hadn't accidentally caused her offense. He shifted his forelegs uneasily, before she finally told him what was on her mind. So he hadn't been imagining it.

He lowered his head and made a soft sound of embarrassment, before answering her question,
"Well, yes, actually. I suppose I was being too carefree in the field, as I jumped up and it landed at an odd angle." He turned, so that his injured side was displayed for Leilani, in case the healer wanted to get a better look at it. He even raised the hind leg of the ground. "I'm not entirely sure what's happened, but it hurts anytime that I put pressure on it, of any amount." Placing his hoof on the ground, he tried to look reassuring, "But I'm sure it's nothing too bad. I can still walk, even though I've got a bit of a limp. I'll still be able to take you to the plants I've noticed in the forest. This shouldn't hold me up that much." He claimed.

Wasteland Wyvern

Concern flooded her being when he said he'd landed on it wrong and might have twisted it. She'd seen this several times and often it was an injury amongst the larger 'draft' soquili she'd met. Though Tenzin was trying to be reassuring by claiming it was nothing she knew better. One such incident she'd seen resulted in the poor mare being permanently crippled, and she'd hate to see it happen to this wonderful soquili. "Its true that at first you might have a minor limp but given time the hurt muscle tissues you might have may very well cripple you good Tenzin." She hummed sympathetically when she lowered her head to get a good look at it and saw just how badly inflamed and swollen it appeared. "If you could please lift it off the ground again I could have it fixed in a jiffy and then we can continue our journey to find these plants you know of." She looked up at him with shy eyes and smiled. Even though when she was fully standing she barely came up to his shoulders she wasn't frightened of him and was actually curious about him. It was odd for her to be so open with a stranger but this one just seemed so easy to talk to.

User Image

Ehren yawned loudly displaying his fangs and dual colored tongue, then he preceded to uncurl himself from Leilani's neck and slither down her back to her rump where he curled up and promptly began napping. There was not much he could do at this time, but given time he'd find a way to scare that big oaf silly for ignoring his quip about 'barks and bites'.

belloblossom
I needed to get my own internet as it was so its not a huge loss. I am just glad to have reliable net now.

Tenzin

Tenzin could see that his attempt at reassuring Leilani had failed, which brought stress into the stallion's mind. He didn't want to upset her, oh anything, but that! Leilani was the first Soquili he'd meant that had been so kind, and she hadn't fled at he sight of how large he was. The concern in her eyes for his leg was mirrored in his. Was she upset with him? Should he have kept his injury to himself, and not confessed it to her?

Then she started explaining to him about the injury of his leg. His eyes widened in alarm and his jaw slackened. Could it really get so bad that it would cripple him? For a Soquili who relied heavily on physical strength, the thought of being crippled was rather terrifying!

"You'll be able to fix it?" He asked her, when she requested he lift it from the ground again. He did so, but he couldn't help, but be nervous. He hadn't ever had a wound heal from unicorn magic before, and he had no idea what he was in for, "Is there anything I should be preparing myself for when you do fix it? For example... Will it hurt?" He asked, trying not to get too riled up from the thought of it.

When Leilani looked up at him and smiled, his worry disappeared. He realized in that moment, that even if it did hurt, he would still let her do what she needed to. He trusted her, despite meeting her that very day, to the point where if she simply smiled at him, his fears of her healing him were gone in the blink of an eye.

"Nevermind. You can do it. I'll be brave." He said, smiling back at her.

Wasteland Wyvern
Well, I'm glad to hear all is resolved now. Say, how're you liking Tenzin? I think Leilani's the sweetest. :3

Understanding his trepidation and worry of pain she said, "I don't think it will hurt. Others I have healed have said its just a warming sensation and then it feels good as new." She could feel her horn warm with the magic that ran through her blood, the feeling of power grew and sought out the wounded leg muscles. In a way she could sense what the magic did and could feel that it wasn't as bad as she'd feared and likely wouldn't have crippled him, though it never hurts to be safe rather than sorry.
The magic ebbed and flowed around her slight frame, some of her hair lifting and floating around her in the process lending her an ethereal other worldly appearance. Her orange eyes closed as the healing began, wrapping itself around his sprain and reducing the swelling.
When it was done the magic sought her back out and retreated into her horn leaving behind that ever so annoying tickle in her nose which caused... "Achoo! Oh my excuse me... That silly magic makes me sneeze every time I use it!" She'd opened her eyes while talking and her orange orbs glowed ever so slightly before the color faded back to normal. "There. I think it should be feeling much better now."

User Image

Ehren could feel it when she used her magic, it always made her body temperature rise and he looked up from where he was sleeping to see her heal that stupid stallion. Shaking his head he wondered why she used her gifts on everyone she could, no matter the wound she would try and fix it. He sighed, the sound more of a slight hiss than a normal sigh would sound like and stared at the two.
'Is he smitten with her?' Ehren thought. Spirits he hoped not. He couldn't stand having this bumbling oaf around forever!

belloblossom
I think he's absolutely adorable! I love how they work together. I think we might have a match made it heaven here.

Tenzin

Tenzin nodded his reply to Leilani, trying to prepare for what was to come next. Heat normally didn't bother him, it was the cold that irked him more. He especially wasn't fond of hail and was lucky that it didn't hail in the forests, though it was common in the Western Mountains.

Once the healing process began, his eyes turned to look down at Leilani, observing her as she worked her magic. His eyes became round as her horn seemed to glow as did her eyes, before she closed them. Her entire being seemed to glow softly, as though she were lit from a soft flame from the inside. While some may think such a thought or appearance, Tenzin thought it to be...

"Beautiful." He spoke in a volume no greater than a whisper, but he was still surprised that he'd spoken aloud at all. He glanced down at Leilani, to see if she'd heard him, but she seemed to be concentrating thoroughly on his leg. Now his eyes drifted to her snake familiar and he found Ehren looking between the two Soquili. He tried not to shiver with Leilani working on his leg, but the gaze of the reptilian worm was rather unnerving, to say the least.

While under the care of Leilani and the scrutiny of Ehren, Tenzin found himself wishing for the company of his own familiar, Damian. Surely it had been long enough that Tenzin could go to the meeting place he'd agreed upon with his wolf companion. He didn't think Leilani would mind a detour from their herb hunt, but he would ask her when she was done with his leg, just to make sure.

His eyes moved from Ehren to Leilani when she withdrew her horn from his leg, and promptly sneezed afterwards. Tenzin smiled at such a reaction, and couldn't help asking,
"If you sneeze every time you use it, could it be that you're allergic to your own magic? I imagine that must be quite the inconvenience, if that's how it is."

Leilani went on to telling him about how his leg should be feeling much better now, he placed it down on the ground once more. Shifting his weight so that he was supported by all of his limbs, as was natural, he waited a moment, looking down at the leg Leilani had treated. His face then lit up as her horn had earlier, and he smiled brightly at Leilani,
"Leilani, you're a wonder, and a great healer. It feels perfect now. Thank you." He said, his eyes warm when they met hers.

Taking a step past her and further into the forest, he turned his head to look back at her.
"There is one more thing I have to ask of you, before we go find those herbs." He commented, "I've got to go pick up a friend, and my own familiar. Would you mind taking a small detour?" He asked her.

Wasteland Wyvern
I'm very glad to hear that! I admit, I was pretty worried at the start that you wouldn't like him, so I'm quite relieved to hear that's not the case.

Leilani couldn't help but laugh when he stated that she might be allergic to her own magic. "Hmm I never thought of it that way to be honest, but it could very well be the case." She'd never actually herd of a Unicorn or Unicorn mix that had such an allergy and she knew that he was joking with her. She was just enjoying playing along for once, as he was the first stallion to ever behave around her in such a way. Unable to help it her face turned down lightly in a scowl as she thought of the last set of stallion's she'd happened across.
The two had been twin brothers and had refused to let her leave their company until she had chosen which of them she liked best. They had been extremely juvenile and annoying. In the end she had not picked and had flown away when they'd been distracted. Both had been earth bound Soquili with no way to follow her when she flew. Shaking her head she banished the memories and looked up with a smile at his compliment. "A wonder? I'm not so sure about that but thank you for the compliment good sir, and you are quite welcome."
She paused as a wind blew through the trees, making the leaves rustle and shake. Her mother had called such an event Nature's Music and she fully agreed. Memories of her parents were very painful but she bore their deaths with a comfortable ease. They were gone and she was here but she would be damned if their memories were erased by her refusing to remember them. Her twin brother Keha came to her mind. The only living part of her family and she had no clue as to where he was. Keha had always been the type to travel for no reason and never settle down. He was selfish and mean unlike her. Such polar opposites.
She almost didn't catch what he said about his familiar, with a nod she said, "Oh of course! I'm sorry for keeping you from meeting up with your friend! If I'd had any idea I wouldn't have kept talking so much..." She felt genuinely bad about keeping him waiting. Her eyes were shy when they met his.

Ehren puffed up angrily during the healing process when he heard the hushed whisper of words the stallion uttered. Beautiful... BEAUTIFUL! He was trying to curry favor with his bonded, trying to worm his way into her heart. A heart that was supposed to have belonged to Ehren alone.
Ehren was sadly an extremely jealous creature. When he'd found Leilani wandering lost and alone in the desert, half dead from dehydration he'd taken pity on her and led her to an oasis. It had been a week before the alicorn had been able to move on, and when she had Ehren had gone with her. Bonded was what others called them. He'd been curious about what it meant and had asked other familiars along the way.
It meant that Ehren had a special place in her heart and life and he liked his position. 'I will not be usurped Tenzin. Not by you, not by anyone...' The snake glared at the stallion from Leilanis' back.

belloblossom
What's not to like? He's a gentle giant with a big heart and a sweet disposition. His colors compliment hers, and his familiar will be able to put Ehren in his place. Lol. Match made in heaven.
