[PRP] Flour Power (Velvet and Lazuryt)

[Wolfs Heart]

Velvet looked out on the busy city walkway from the entrance of the bakery he now called home. The boy had a sideways smile on his face as he watched. He was so young when he moved here, it was practically all he knew at this point, but it still fascinated him.

His green eyes turned to look at the front counter of the bake shop before the rest of his body followed and he walked to the back and exited that way. Velvet was a big boy now, it was time to explore the city more. The fae child didn't even know he was walking out with a big puff of flour on his nose from that morning's baking. Velvet walked through the streets, pretending he knew where he was going, just like the rest of the grown ups seemed to know, but really Velvet had no idea where he was going, he just hoped he could find his way back home on his own if he went too far.

In part, he was hoping to find someone his own age to play with. His dad was great and all, but he had gotten used to the companionship of his sister when he was younger and now felt that void in his life.

Lazuryt wasn't used to being on her own, with her parents, brother and two Rakshasha's living at their place someone was all ways home and it was unusual for the kids to go out unsupervised it was also rather chaotic at times. Lazu however wanted to be able to do things on her own, she was a big girl now! She had a fishy and it was her job to take care of it. She had been planing on getting food for her fishy but her parents had gotten some instead. Which did not prevent her from wandering away from home when everyone was busy. She wanted to explore, and maybe make some new friends.

Wandering around the city on her own was fun! She got to look at everything at her own pace and go where ever she wanted. Unfortunately she ended up paying more attention to all the neat things that caught her eye than how she had gotten there and would have a hard time finding her way back home latter. For the moment at least she was content with her exploring.

Velvet began to buzz around on his wings, dodging around people clumsily as he did so. It wasn't often he got to go out and stretch out his wings so his maneuverability was just not that good. It wasn't the wisest thing for him to do, practicing on a busy street, he would have been better going to a more open area, but no one ever said he was the smartest cookie.

He was so out of practice that it wasn't long before his wings began to tire. "Oh come on..." The boy said to himself as he began to lose altitude. The boy squished his eyes shut as he tried to flutter his wings as hard as possible. With his eyes closed, Velvet was completely unaware that he was heading straight towards a young girl.

Lazuryt was too busy looking at all the stores to notice the boy heading right towards her, there where a lot of pretty things for sale. Thus she was rather surprised when another child crashed into her from the sky, knocking the breath out of her and sending them both sprawling on the ground.

"Ow." She said softly as she tried to sit up, she wasn't badly hurt just a few scrapes and a bruise or two that would appear later. The scrapes hurt and a few tears sprung up in her eyes because of it but she was determinant not to cry. "Are you okay?" She asked the red colored pae who had crashed into her.

Since he was flying when he ran into the girl it sent Velvet tumbling in the air until he skidded into the ground. There was a few scrapes on his hands, but he held back any tears. Scrapes and bruises were all part of being a boy, and he refused to cry about them. Instead he rolled onto his feet and fluttered towards the girl he had run into.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry!" he exclaimed. Here was a potential friend and he had just bowled her over, not watching where he was going. This was off to a good start. "I'm okay, are you?" He could see the watery look to her eyes, so before she even had a chance to answer Velvet bounced on to the next thing. "I know what could make it better, do you want a cupcake?" Yes, buy friends with food, it was the perfect plan.

Lazuryt stood up and swayed for a moment before getting her bearing. She nodded at the fae boy when he asked if she was okay. "ye-eah I'm alright." She said after he had finished speaking, her eyes lighting up at the thought of the sugary treat he had offered. "Cupcakes? I'd love one!" She said cheerfully, her scrapes forgotten about for the moment.

"My name's Lazurty." She said introducing her self to her new found friend. "What is yours?" she asked, curious about her new friend.

So much for going out and about the city, Velvet was now going to be taking her right back to where he had started. He was certain that one of his dad's baked goods would make her feel better though. "Cool, my dad makes them." The boy said cheerfully. He was just starting to learn to make them himself, but he tended to get more ingredients on himself or the floor than in the bowl right now.

"I'm Velvet." He introduced himself. "C'mon it's this way." He said turning around to go back the way he had came from. The fae child decided to stick to his feet this time.

"Nice to met you!" Her eyes widen as the other mentioned that his father made cupcakes. "Oh thats cool! Does he make them a lot? She wondered if it was hard to make cupcakes. Her family made them once in a while, but she didn't get to help.

Lazuryt followed Velvet as he leader her to the bake shop.The sent of fresh baked goods washed over the path they where on and she started to wonder just how many cupcakes his father had made.

"Yeah... he bakes a lot." Velvet said as they walked along toward the bakery. He could smell the familiar scent of home from quite a ways away it turned out as they neared home. It looked like he would never have really gotten lost after-all. The boy giggled, "We're almost there."

He led her through the back door, "Dad?" He called out. There was no response. "He must be getting more in-geed-ents..." The boy deduced. "C'mon this way." Velvet then led her to the front of the store, to see if his father had left any baked goods for him to share with her. "Hmm..." he said putting his hand to his chin 'thoughtfully' as he looked at the lack of baked goods before them. "No cupcakes... we'll have to make them!" The boy decided quickly. He had only helped with some tasks, but surely he'd be able to do it on his own, and he wasn't on his own!

Lazuryt was about to ask just how much was a lot when they made it to the bakery. Looking around she realized a lot really was a lot. "Oh wow! He does back a lot, and not just cupcakes!" She was rather impressed by the amount of edible goodies that where laying around the shop.

She followed Velvet to the back, after his deduction that his father was getting more ingredients. "Oh! You know how to make them?" She giggled excitedly. "That sounds like fun! What do we need to make them?" She asked as she started to look around trying to think of things that they could use.

"Yeah..." Velvet agreed, "But cupcakes are the best. And I told you cupcake so we going to get you a cupcake." His voice sounded determined as he looked up at the shelves that were much higher up than both the children. Oh well, height was no obstacle to pae with wings!

"Of course!" He answered her about knowing how to make cupcakes. Although the truth was that he really didn't. "Hm... we need eggs... fo-wer, and sugar! That's the most important part." What Velvet didn't know was that there was a lot more ingredients to it than that.

Velvet was trying to remember where everything was as he grabbed a chair and slid it to the counter to climb on top of. "I think the eggs are in that one." He pointed her to a cabinet. Velvet was going after the flour first as he climbed on to the counter and reached for one of the higher up cabinets.

The fae opened the door, almost falling backwards as the door came open, but he caught himself. He could just barely reach the corner of the flour bag. Velvet fluttered his wings a little bit to give himself some more height as he tugged on the corner of the bag. Only he didn't have that great of a grip on it and the bag fell straight towards the ground, bursting the bag on impact.

There was flour everywhere.

Lazuryt climbed up the chair and onto the counter after velvet. "I'll grab the eggs then!" She headed over to the cabinet that contained the eggs and reached up to grab a carton. She tried to grab one that was somewhat high up, but there was still other containers on top of them. The carton she was trying to slide out carefully was heavier than she expect and the other side of it fell onto the counter.

One of the other containers fell as she tried to close the cabinet and split open a few cracked eggs rolling out. "Oops" She winced as she looked at the mess. Opening the carton that she had in her hand, the angel looked over the eggs, there was a few cracks in some of them but they seemed mostly intact.

She was about to apologize for the mess when she looked over at the fae and noticed the pile of flour that had gotten everywhere. "Looks like we both made a mess."

Velvet glanced over at Lazuryt and the mess she had created as well. His eyes shifted for a moment, back and forth between their two messes. He could already hear his father now... Maybe if they got their cupcakes done and left before his dad got back. Kalibang would never know it was him. It was a flawless plan.

"Ooops." Velvet giggled. "Its still good though. We just need the sugar now." He said with a nod of his head as he moved over to another cabinet. Velvet was more careful this time and pulled the sugar down with a little bit more grace.

"Okay! Now we gotta mix it all together in a bowl." he said as he got off the counter-top and then brought the ingredients he had gathered down to the floor so that they would be able to reach them. "Bowl, bowl, bowl..." Velvet repeated as he looked around for something to put the ingredients in.

Lazuryt moved carefully as she climbed down the chair to bring the eggs she had gathered to velvet. The angel did not want to drop and break the eggs again. Seeing that he got the sugar it looked like the only thing they needed now was the bowl to mix the ingredients in.

Her blue eyes scand the bakery as she tried to spot a bowl they cloud use. After wandering for a bit She managed to find a bowl, it was a bit bigger than the ones she ate from at her house but she figured it would be good to put the ingredients in. Grabbing the bowl in question she headed back over to her friend and showed it to him. "Will this work"
