A small concession booth lies to one side of the carnival. For a modest 5 silver pumpkin seeds, there seem to be a variety of carnival food, the usual no-good absolutely slimy greasy bloody things up for sale. What is more important than the food itself are tables, mostly vacated, some occupied by stray starving corrividus, available for those just looking for a place to rest.
The concession stand is not that busy at the moment, and next to the open window for orders is a menu board that read as follows:
Concession list: - Fried corrividus wings: 5 silver pumpkin seeds (Some feathers are still sticking out and glowing) - Follyjox jello: 5 silver pumpkin seeds (The tentacles wave sadly at you) - Invisible dog collar jerky: 5 silver pumpkin seeds (Good thing you can actually see the collar!) - Treat treats: 5 silver pumpkin seeds (yes, these are treats made out of legit treats) - Potato Mashers fries: 5 silver pumpkin seeds (the eyes still stare at you) - Slime 'n Snails Escargot: 5 silver pumpkin seeds (are you really going to eat that?!) - Deep Fried Skitters: 5 silver pumpkin seeds (it is about as disgusting as it sounds and the legs are still moving....) - Ultima Dawn Delight: 5, 000 silver pumpkin seeds. (Made out of real ultima dawn!) OOC This is a haven for you to rp with quest characters and for characters just to interact with each other, talk about the carnival/ meet and greet/ etc etc and catch up on events! If you'd like to PRP about the carnival, and you have ENROLLED characters, you may just do so in the MAIN subforum and not this one! If you only have a quest character, you may RP here. - Don't forget to QUOTE users you are talking to! - The food is just for rp text, your character can order as many as they'd like, without actually paying minis currency. Feel free to interact/ react/ as you like!

Day 1
Uru sat by the concession stand surrounded by a scattering of chairs and tables that were placed there for the costumers. Alone off in the corner, his gold and blue eyes glanced the crowd as he mindlessly fed himself Potato Masher fries. If he didn't look down, he wouldn't have to feel concientious of the eyes staring back at him. Though he loved minipets and found them fascinating and their behaviors interesting; he came to terms a long time ago that minipets were food and that he was a predator. He needed to eat and they were readily available. Not to mention that most, if not all, Halloweeners ate them. However, the reason he took a break from the booths was because he had hit most of the ones he had wanted and there were still some that were not opened yet. The ones that were closed were probably still closed from the night before. Understandably so that the students needed their rest and were still asleep. So he was sitting here eating fries, watching the crowd. Watching and smelling.
He had picked up a scent the other day, one that was distinctly familiar as a non-student smell. It wasn't Qui, the Horseman. It wasn't Damien, he knew that scent specifically no matter how much bacon or tea or what have you could try to mask it. It was Destia or Olivia or Maple or whomever he had known. This scent was different. It was a ghoul. It was crisp. It was vanilla. There was a hint of mint in it and there was only one other creeper that had a similar scent: Himself. This scent was his own scent, but it belonged to a ghoul. By process of elimination; it was a Cocytus member. If that was the case, that meant someone from the pack was visiting. Were they aware that he was a student here? That his exile meant that he could not go to the pack's territory (the manor) but he could meet any one of them here. This place was neutral ground to their kind and... The thought of the ghoul being Brenna crossed his mind many times. He did not spot the little ghoul, but he was hopeful. He would keep following that scent and he may even find her. He was hopeful. Oh so hopeful that Brenna was here at the Carnival. But... she was the future Alpha of the pack which meant her time was precious and meant that the likelihood that she would be able to escape the responsibilities of the title was slim. Sometimes he regretted bestowing that title onto her rather than take it himself. But who would follow an Alpha who took out his uncle and his mother, the former Alpha, in order to get the title himself? The pact would fall apart and the other packs would fight for territory again. He couldn't have that. He questioned his own ability to be able to run a pack to begin with.
With another handful of fries, the plate was done and tossed away. He'd stay here a while, watching the crowd. If Brenna was here... she'd be looking for him to.

Food food food. Andrew was starving. of course that was normal for him, he was always hungry. Being a flame demon he required a lot of fuel to keep going. Upon arriving at the snack booth Andrew ordered some fries an took up residence at on of the tables, tail coiling up into his lap. the flame became a small firecooker as he roasted the fries even more over his tail, charcoaling the eyes and then ate them crunching into the salt and fatty goodness.

After much walking and playing, Liela got quite hungry. She made her way up to the Concession stand, reading over the list of food. She decides "Umm... Ill take the Treat treats and Invisible dog collar jerky, please?" She waits for her food to be made and served. Taking the food, she makes her way over to the tables, she looks for an open table to sit at.

If the ghoul was looking fro room, this table was taken, thanks. Nevermind that the food court was crowded and most had several people sitting at them. Andrew claimed this table, it was his. He needed to be someplace not cold for a while. His wings huddled over himself creating a nice little bubble of heat. liela-dragon-rayne1 if she wants it she has to take it.

Liela wasnt seeing any open seats, as the place was packed. Now that she was noticing, she started to get claustrophobic. Panic started to raise up in her, as she looked for an opening to dart out. She first stood there, looking for a way out. Til she notice someone she might now, her ears perked up as she then took off towards the boil. Wrapping his wings around the table "A-andrew!?" She asks, looking at him now. Wanting to poke to get his attention "It is Andrew, right? The one that helped show me around campus?"

From the crowd a voice caught his attention. He looked up a fries still hanging from his mouth coming into eye contact with... It was her.But she didn't exist well not to anyone but Molan and him; and they never spoke about it. That was the unspoken code, they didn't talk about hanging out for an entire day together under the delusion of a ghoul who was never there. Andrew rubbed at his eyes wondering if this was once again another illusion. Didn't she grab his tail? He was pretty sure she grabbed his tail. Well, ok she didn't maybe it was just someone who looked like her and happened to know of him. Nope. her next line destroyed all hope of that. "I am Andrew..... but I never showed anyone around campus." he could say that truthfully.

Liela's ears perked up suddenly, to the reply. "Y-you... didnt it?" She was now confused by this. She thought hard on it, standing there with her tray in hands. Still thinking over the matter, she mutters "I thought... At least i thought... Didnt i...?" Not knowing what to say or do. She kept thinking over it. "W-wasnt there another... I mean... I think his name was..." she tried to remember "Mol... umm... Molan?" A questionable look expression was upon her face. She was now starting to get tried carrying her tray of food. Wanting to set it down to think some more "Oh! Uhh..." An image came to her, but soon she drew back. As another image of him getting upset over what she saw. Maybe i shouldnt say anything about that, she thought in her head. "W-well... Umm... Im sorry to interrupt" She smiled, with a wiggle of her tail "Im Liela, Liela Lily Petal. May i umm... j-join you?" She gives this nervous look upon her face. Hoping the boil well let her sit and rest her arms from carrying the tray phantompanther13 ;p she still doesnt notices it XD

Day 3 Carnival
That was awkward. It was all kinds of awkward and most of it was on his own part. The ghoul must have been from somewhere else because she did not appear to be a student; no pin and her scent wasn't like the one that clung to the students at Amityville. She definitely was not a Horseman, probably a monster. She had came to him with interest as she asked if he had wanted a drink from the concession stand and she talked, laughed, and the moment she touched him things went south pretty fast. He didn't laugh back much, he didn't contribute to the conversation as much only to supply what he knew about the place and answered questions that she had asked with honest truths. He managed a few smiles here and there. But the moment she ventured to place a hand on his forearm crossed against his chest, he glared at the contact. It did not feel right, he did not want it, but she continued with her smiles, her laugh, and then she was gone saying she was meeting friends. She waved to him and he stood there.
With a heavy breath, he turned back toward the table he had been sitting at to find someone else already there. However, he knew this someone as he stopped in place, wide eyes looking at the ghoul that was sitting at his table; one of everything on the menu from the concession stand - even the Ultima Dawn Delight. Her hair light and airy, falling over her shoulders in curls, pulled from her face using ribbons just below the two chocolate furred ears that donned her head. Two honey-brown eyes looking up at him with the most saccharine smile, her head propped up on her elbows. His heart's pace quickened as he was absolutely unsure if what he was seeing was what he was seeing. So much so that he could not smell the ghoul's scent nor could words escape him as he stood there. His arms fell from their crossed positions to his side. Her features did not change, she seemed happy, she seemed so young and innocent. Swallowing hard, he moved a step closer as if he took anymore she'd disappear. "B-Brenna."
"What in pack's name was that, brother? Please, please, please tell me that was not flirting. Like, that was horrible. So horrible. You stood there like a wall. Do you know what it is like talking to a wall? Of course you don't," The ghoul rambled as she pushed herself up, her hands firm against the table. Her outfit was different than her last visit, her long highlow dress was now a skirt with a drape in the back, her sleeves oversized and long but had a doll-like allure. She still wore the scarf like she had before but most of her outfit was different. Understandable... she did like to change a lot. "You don't talk to yourself to know what it's like." The ghoul moved around the table and came to the boil with arms wide open as she wrapped around his midsection, the top of her head just touching the crest of his pecs. A moment passed as she squeezed him tight, her brown tail swishing back and forth as she softly rumbled for him. "Uru.... you really suck at giving hugs." Pulling away from him, her cream outfit swishing behind her as she returned to the table. The ghoul shook her head, sighing as she patted the table to indicate the boil to sit.
Uru took the indication and sat down at the table of food. He looked at the food, dubious that he should actually touch it. "What is all this?" He questioned.
"You know what it's for. I could smell you for the past three days wandering around the Carnival. Today? Today, you smelled like crap. Like piles of poo found in the poopiest of places that ever pooed. And I know you showered, ya ya, but I am talking about what I could smell." While Uru had the ability to hear and smell well, Brenna had this uncanny ability to smell much more and identify individuals not by their unique scent but how they feel. He never understood it and it sometimes creeped him out when she did this sort of thing. Also made him feel slightly inferior that her sense of smell was that much stronger than his own. She placed a hand (mostly sleeve) over his, drawing up his attention to her eyes. "You're hurting. And when one of us hurts, we are there for one another. We bring you food, we bring you comfort. We are tactile for that reason. So, deny it all you want, brother, but you can't lie to me about this one. I know what today is. I am more surprise that you are actually out today, honestly... but maybe it's a good thing you are."
Uru ducked his head down, his thick brows fell upward, wrinkling his forehead as he looked at the soft touch of the ghoul's hand, her thumb swiping over the knuckles of his closed fist. He swallowed hard as he let out a long, drawn-out breath. She was right. It was why he was in such a down mood today, how he had let his thoughts affect his performances today at the booths. He had nearly forgotten what the day was, yet his demon did not. He began to speak then, sharing with her what he had been through since his exile from the pack, the pair of them talking and listening over the food. He spoke of how he went on a path of personal destruction through his room because of how it smelled like her, and reminded him that he may not be able to see his younger sister again. He could not sleep because her scent was still around since the Open House, enough so that he became an insomniac on most nights, waking in terrors forcing him to run into the Weeping Forest to just escape his room. After his room was destroyed and the gnomes were called to fix it, he stayed out of the student body's eyes and stayed out in the Weeping Forest, how he stayed here and lost most of his motivation to eat, work out, and, generally, do anything at all. The realization that he was packless and alone hit him harder than he had expected - mostly because he felt like he was alone, but apparently, somewhere deep down in the recesses of his subconscious, he knew he wasn't because he had a pack.
Brenna shared that she was busy herself since their mother's departure from the pack. There were rumors that without her that the pack's pact with the others would fall apart and the monsters, undead, and demons would fight for territory again and would end up in chaos. Much so that she feared that she had to work harder to gain the knowledge and political know-how in order to make herself appear competent for the Alphas of the other packs. She feared that she wouldn't be able to keep up the ruse for long and when the others realize that she was weak, they could take advantage of the situation. She felt she needed to get stronger but she couldn't, not like her brother, she couldn't be strong like him, determined like him, push himself towards a goal. She smiled and told him that she thought of him more of a monster like his father than the demon that they were.
"You know, I am starting to think that you'd only favor boils after what I just saw."
The boil huffed. "What makes you say that." Asking with a mouthful of Potato Masher fries. "We don't discriminate gender. We seek individuals regardless of it. You know that."
"True, but I have my suspicions. But it's good to see that you're at least trying to find someone. However, your game sucks. I'll have to ask Damien to work on that or something." Brenna smiled as she picked at the array of food. There was sadness in her eyes that one would not know of unless they knew her like Uru did. She smiled, she laughed, she bounced, and she played, but he knew that she was always hurting and afraid and sad. He knew that no matter what she was going through in her life, she didn't share it with just anyone and she put on a mask to hide it from everyone. She didn't want people to worry, she didn't want people to ask about her problems. She wanted to give them no reason to ask. If no one ask, it was as if they - her problems - did not exist anymore. However, Uru knew the truth, and he desperately wished he could be there for her to help.
"You tired?" The demon asked. Brenna took a moment, noting the food was mostly gone before nodding in response. "Alright, I'll take you back to my place and we can take a nap before you have to head out. I'd offer you to stay-"
"No, it's okay, I have a place in town that I'm staying at. I already spend the silver seeds for it, so I might as well use it. I appreciate the offer, but no. The nap sounds nice." The ghoul rose to her feet just as her brother had before her hand snaked into his. "It's good to see you again, Uru. You look well."
Uru simply smiled as he led her away from the concession stand.

"Join me?" he glanced around trying to figure out of anyone else saw the ghoul. He was going crazy. Was this another incident of his dreams blending with reality? Then again he remembered meeting Olivia before meeting her. Maybe it was the same. But this ghoul knew Molan, she remembered. Olivia didn't remember. Or maybe she did? Is this reality? Is this just fantasy? He just couldn't tell anymore. "Sure whatever." he was going insaaaaane. He was having another bought of madness, another relationship build on dreams. This just did not bode well. "Did you come for the carnival?" he was talking to himself. He knew he was going to receive weird looks. But, what did it even matter, unless this was the dream world? It might have been.

She had wanted to come here before, before that cat demon had bumped into her. Hollandaise had filed that want away for later, for now. Deszeld had come along willingly, easily, which didn't really surprise Hollandaise, She was more surprised that she was the one dragging her. "Ah, it looks like there's no eye scream. Do you want something else?" She had thought she could buy something for her, to even things out. Abruptly, she dropped Des's hand and stepped a little ways away from the dragon. "So, what are you good at then?" Hollandaise sat down at a table, hissing when her hand banged into it. She cradled it briefly against her chest.

Deszeld was mildly annoyed by the fact that there was no eye scream. It was, really, her favorite food. "I will have three follyjox jello and two skitters, because they are crunchy." Her hand felt a little empty after Hollandaise dropped it, so after slapping down the seeds that were owed (no way was she going to let Holly pay), Deszeld slipped into a seat as close to Holly as possible. "I will share with you," Deszeld very graciously offered, eyeing the hand that Hollandaise clutched to her chest. "I will tell you what I am good at after you tell me what is wrong with your hand."

Hollandaise tried to subtly scoot a little farther away from Des. "I could've paid," she said, but her eyes were fixed on the way the jelly waved plaintively, as if it were pleading for someone, for Holly to eat it. Her feet scuffed at the ground beneath her feet, the bare ground, where barely any grass grew. "My hand?" she creaked out. "It is n-nothing, a small burn from the teapot. Do not worry yourself." Hollandaise very deliberately set her hand on the table. She didn't need to clutch it to her chest after - it was only something very small, she told herself. The large red welt stared up at her mockingly.
